Sky Suites often have promos that include this. We currently have a booking with it. It's not assured, though.Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't a suite have the premium beverage package as a benefit. -
This is not necessarily true. My mother and step-father were dumped in Valparaiso, Chile at a hospital with no help whatsoever. A nice English-speaking person at the hospital helped my mother (about 78 at the time) get a hotel room. She was whatever the top loyalty tier was at the time and Cunard did NOTHING for them.Great to hear, hope all is well, but by the same token, most, if not all, lines would have done the same. -
I spring for my own personal outdoor chairs. They are on our balcony!

Don't you want to do other things in BB?
To tell you the truth in January we will be going to the BB Motu morning and afternoon for the four days that we will be in BB. Basically just go back to the ship for lunch and freshening up. DH has been known to catch a nap on the way if the tender is not full.
That being said it will be our 9 th and 10 th cruise on the PG.
I can lounge in a beautiful place for two days! But seriously, no chairs?
-
Not even chairs to rent? I'd go to see it and spend some time, but I can't sit/lie on the ground for two days. Lounge in a chair for 2 days? Sure!

El Convento is our favorite, but I wouldn't consider it "not too expensive". Never hurts to look at prices, though. It is a charming place.

As someone who has an equal number of both, there are things to be said for both. The food is better on Celebrity. Period. The service and and perks in the higher level cabins is better on Celebrity. Period. We love Celebrity when we want to be pampered.
The atmosphere on Carnival is looser and more light-hearted. I'm not referring to hairy chest contests. The comedy clubs on Carnival have no equivalent on Celebrity. If you like a good piano bar, Celebrity doesn't do that. Conga lines CAN be infectious! If we do Carnival, we prepare to be laid back and mellow.
And Carnival costs less and has lots of convienient itineraries from lots of ports including 60 miles from our home!

We found the service and quality of the Luminae cuisine to be quite good and a step up from the MDR while on Summit just before her recent dry dock. I will say that the choices were limited and when the wife couldn't find something she liked, there was resistance to MDR offerings. Also, I began to crave a good steak by the end. Beef entrees were limited.

We loved Luminae on Summit. My only comment is that I ended up wanting a good steak by the end. Beef selections are limited. GREAT seafood.

We too just got ours about 4 mail days before embarking and ordered them weeks ago.

It's not a silly question. Carnival DOES have a limit. I forget what it is except it's ridiculously high, but there IS one.

Regardless of how much it costs... What fun getting there!

If you don't mind me asking, why Princess for Alaska? We will be on Reflection in February and were thinking of booking a future cruise to Alaska while on board. I have really only been on Celebrity but am open to other lines, have always wanted to try Princess.
- They go into Glacier Bay on many itineraries. If you take an Alaskan cruise, you really need to go to Glacier Bay.
- If you want a cruise tour, Princess is very well organized. A well-oiled machine. They own five of their own excellent resorts.

They had the best piano bar entertainer by far on a couple of our cruises. Bert WITH AN E! You had to be there. Seriously, the Princess piano bars are usually a plus, but often the venue they use has limited seating. Another thing Celebrity has going for it is that we never have trouble getting show seats and on Princess, you'd better go early!I would have to say that Princess has much better entertainment.. -
Was that during Limeageddon? That was tragic even here in Houston where the Marguerita is king! Then there was the Great Escargot Shortage!Or limes... I've had them run out of limes before too. It was tragic. -
We like Princess, but as far as the shipboard experience is concerned, Celebrity is just a bit better in the most important categories. These are only our opinions, your mileage may vary:
Dining room food - Celebrity
Specialty restaurants - Celebrity except for steakhouse type
Steakhouse specialty restaurant - Princess
Entertainment - Celebrity
Service - Celebrity
Excursions - Celebrity
Suite class cabins - Celebrity
Suite passenger perks - Celebrity by a mile
Drinks - Tie
Buffet - Princess
Pizza - Princess
Price point - Princess
If you are going to Alaska - Princess by a mile.

This thread has reinforced for me how much the cruise director sets the tone for a cruise. Yes, I would never tell one what I don't like, but I notice what I DO like and it makes things more copacetic.
That's fine. Each can make their own decision. As I said, I sleep well. Call that $1.50 gift card for spending an hour with a customer and walking them thru the process a bribe if you want. I just don't see it that way. If we were getting some fixed % of the actual sales amount, then I might buy into the idea of a real commission, bit this is nothing more than someone tossing me a promotional pen and Celebrity paper notepad and saying "thanks for your help!". Semantics, as some have said I suppose.
Many have stated that disclosure is needed, I disclose, and now you say disclosure diminished my credibility. Proof that no one is going to ever 100% satisfy everyone. So I'll continue to present facts and my honest opinion and let the cards fall as they may,
The majority of hat I've disclosed here is available thru google searches, nothing really secret about it.
My unsolicited view on this is that you cruise enough that the teeny bit of money you get is not the reason you do it. You love cruising and want to share and help others awake to the enjoyment that is cruising. Kudos. -
I have a "classic" green card. I had the offer available. I put $500 more down on my already booked Summit cruise and Amex has already emailed me to expect my credit. What a deal!:D

We love both. DW REALLY loves the tableside lobster in Normandie.

The elevators are in a foyer...you shouldn't hear a thing.

The bathroom layout is strange looking.

Somebody is posting on FB multiple times a day and even replying to individual posts. The posts there are always plain vanilla responses to rah-rah posts. Maybe they decided the controversial stuff wasn't getting them anywhere.

We have stayed in 2 Royal Suites on Summit and you are showing Royal Suite balcony pictures in your Celebrity Suite album and vice versa. Royal suites have the hot tubs on the balcony, not Celebrity Suites! Actually, now that I look at them, Lonedaddy is right. The whole albums are mislabeled.

Can anybody tell me what movies Breeze is showing right now?
Thanks in advance...
