  1. Since it seems not all Zenith members received the email, I wanted to advise if anyone qualified for the complimentary Zenith cruise before Celebrity paused service, Andrea stated you have until the end of the year to book it. Also here is the link to the Captain’s Club benefits charts. I don’t see it listed and not certain it was previously posted but Zenith members receive complimentary luggage valet in available ports. https://secure.viewer.zmags.com/publication/cc0ce13c?allowMobile=y&ecid=em_23423917&rid=169337424&mes=Celebrity Loyalty Zenith Letter JUN
  2. Excerpt from Director of Loyalty Andrea Shey’s email dated 6/16/21: In November, we announced that we would be temporarily limiting access to the Retreat Lounge to only those members staying in the Retreat. We’ll be extending this policy of limiting its capacity to help keep you, our crew, and the communities we visit safe. We know this is a valued benefit and we plan to bring it back once we’ve had more experience with new processes and practices that have come with resuming operations. Other Zenith perks – like complimentary laundry services including pressing and dry cleani

  5. Good to hear the process to receive refunds for the canceled flights was a positive experience, Mr. Click. This article details that both the EU and US have now upheld airlines obligations to refund passengers for cancelled flights, rather than a voucher for future travel unless desired: https://apple.news/AfFxjZ5kySHiWhy-tUNxHmA

  7. “Please don’t shoot the messenger”. I was just sending the information.
  8. Thought it might be helpful to begin a thread to post airline schedule information to coordinate with future Celebrity cruise schedules. Of course, airlines will continue to update as needed. Here’s the latest from American Airlines: http://news.aa.com/news/news-details/2020/American-Airlines-Announces-Summer-Schedule-Changes-to-Match-Reduced-Customer-Demand-Related-to-COVID-19-OPS-DIS-04/default.aspx?utm_source=040720_external&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Around_American

  10. Simon was the HD on the Inaugural Voyages of the first three Solstice ships and the Hotel Director of Operations for the final two Solstice ships before moving to the latter position at Royal Caribbean. For the last few years he has been COO in China for Royal. He definitely has the qualifications for the position and I agree with Jane that this will be a positive thing for all as we too enjoyed sailing with him on several cruises.
  11. No press release posted on Celebrity nor Royal yet but on a professional media site it is posted as of this month Simon Weir is Vice President of Hotel Operations for Celebrity as well as Vice President of Royal Caribbean Cruises.
