I have recently been diagnosed with a heart condition that requires me to have a low sodium diet. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this on Royal. Has anyone been able to request a low sodium meal? If yes, what sort of food did you get? Is there anyone at Royal that I can contact to find out the feasibility of this request?
TIA

Don't know about Roatan, but Royal's dolphin excursion in Costa Maya is aweful. The animals are kept in an enclosure barely the length of a couple of pools on the ship. The water is really dirty and you can't see in it (I've been on other Dolphin excursions where the water was nice and clear so you could really see the dolphins as they move around).

Hi all,
Background: Looking at Europe Med cruises end of June 2019. It comes down to similar itineraries on the Rhapsody leaving from Venice and Jewel leaving from Rome/ Civitavecchia. To me the departure ports are a wash - I'm ok with either one as are the itineraries. So it's coming down to Rhapsody vs. Jewel. Can I get people's opinions on the two and which you would prefer?
TIA for all feedback.

Hi all,
I've got a late flight (6pm, international) from IAH at the end of my cruise. I was wondering if anyone knows of any companies that offer a tour (say NASA) and airport drop-off? I'm a die hard BlackBerry user so anything Uber or Lyft related is out of the question.
TIA

Totally agree, and another tip is to check with Guest Services a day or two into the cruise. Royal has a habit of "forgetting" your selection and doing the conversion themselves.
Agree with the others about letting your credit card do the conversion. Especially agree with Bob - have been burned a couple of times and paid more in Canadian due to RC doing the conversion vs. my credit card company.
-
I think RCL recently went with a two days before the excursion cancellation policy (used to be 24 hours). Note that if you pay for your excursion with a credit card pre-cruise, if you cancel they won't refund your credit card but rather give you a shipboard credit.

I had mixed experiences. On Explorer at mid September was in a balcony cabin without the small table. On Freedom beginning of December, table was there. Both were D2 Balcony cabins.

Hi' date=' we are Canadian and have used our Nexus cards in the Global Entry in Port Everglades each time we have disembarked. No problem at all.. you just have to have your card in hand and may have to check with multiple cruise terminal staff, as the last time we got off the ship the first staff member we asked said that the Global Entry line was closed... ( which we thought was rather odd) so checked with another cruise terminal employee and they directed right to the line, which was indeed open and had a much shorter line up.

That's great to hear!! Thanks very much!! :D:D:D

Does anyone know if Canadians with Nexus (that gives us access to Global Entry when going through US customs in Canada) can be used for Global Entry at Port Everglades?

I've done a few Mediterranean cruises with Royal (not on the Harmony). One thing I found is that dining times tend to be later in Europe. Late traditional seating is usually 8:30pm and I've even seen a 9pm seating. So the 6pm to 6:30pm shift on a European cruise doesn't surprise me.

People have mentioned Global Entry. I'm Canadian and have a Nexus card which gives me access to Global Entry at places like US Customs at Pearson International Airport in Toronto. Does anyone know if that would flow through and allow me to use my nexus card at pier 29?

There's a chance that when Royal announces phase 1 of their European itineraries on December 11th that they might have some Baltic cruises. If not, as Bob said spring 2018. It's a great cruise by the way - make sure you check out the ports of call boards for Northern Europe - a ton of good information that will save you money and grief.
-
I think a bit of a theme here is that the lobster tails were served on TAs. I think if you're on a cruise staying in Europe you won't get lobster tails.
-
One thing to be careful about - more times than I would call acceptable, they screw things up and code your account as Royal doing the conversion even though you selected the other option. Would check with guest services a couple of days into your cruise to make sure it's set-up correctly.
-
I'd check with AAA and find out what their definition of priority check-in is and how it works. I've heard other TAs offer the same thing, then when people get to the port, nobody knows anything about it.

Accordingly to AC’s website, they do offer priority security at MCO.

That's new then - the last time I flew out of MCO they didn't have it. Good to know.
To the OP - you will get priority check-in and priority boarding. If it's a Rouge flight they have very little overhead storage for Business class so get on as quickly as you can.

I would say $15-20 plus tip

Thanks!!

Here's another one for the Symphony itinerary especially if you haven't travelled to Europe very much/ first time in the Med.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can give me a ball park estimate on how much a taxi will cost to go from FLL to the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort.
TIA
-
Not for Air Canada. At best you can hope for TSA pre-Check. Air Canada doesn't have an arrangement with MCO to offer priority security line for Air Canada business class the way it does at a lot of Canadian airports.

There's one right now for the December 3rd Freedom sailing.
-
Thanks!! Sorrentos is just pizza right or do they have other stuff?
-
Hi all,
I'm going to be sailing on the Freedom in 4 weeks and I was wondering what places aside from the Windjammer are open for lunch on embarkation day?
TIA

If you're not in a rush, I don't see anything wrong with at least asking at Next Cruise. While the majority of feedback recently about Next Cruise has been negative there are some who have gotten a good deal out of it.

Thanks for all of the information everyone. This situation is quite new for me. I have a cruise at the end of April and was quite worried. Glad to hear Royal is able to make some accommodations.
