  1. I cruised a few years ago with my sister who has multiple food allergies of common foods although not to the extent of your mother and no anaphylatic allergies (does not require an epi pen). On our first night, the waiter in the MDR approached her as soon as we were seated to review her allergies -we had fixed dining time- and reviewed all of her restrictions before she ordered. Each night at the end of dinner, he presented her with the next night's menu and reviewed what she could have and what the chef might need to modify for the following evening. On the Lido, she was encouraged to present herself to the supervisor or chef on arrival so that they could review her dietary needs and suggest safe items. It worked beautifully.

Hopefully your other will have an equally successful experience.

  2. We have also booked a Baltic Sea cruise for this summer and our TA has added a complementary dinner at Pinnacle. This is not part of the Explore4 program so I understand that we will not be preassigned a dinner reservation. I did try to make a reservation on line but was unable to do so without paying with my credit card. I called ship services where I was informed that I could only reserve once on board. Is that what others have experienced? I was hoping to reserve before hand and then be reimbursed.

We are a party of 5, DH and myself-50's, DS ages 22 and 19 and grandma who is young at heart. We are sailing on the Enchantment. Perhaps we'll meet up.
