OP, may I suggest a river cruise? Look into AMAwaterways. It might meet your needs better than an ocean cruise would.
-
That is correct, you cannot stack them

And those emails are written by people who have never been actually on any of the ships so they don’t know that there’s a difference from one to another

but she would need luggage tags
No, not at all,. I never print my luggage tags anymore. I just wait until I get to the pier and the Porter hand writes some for me.

I would avoid viking river cruise. On my one and only Viking cruise. I found the food to be inedible much of the time and service was often sub par.
one and done.
on the other hand, I have done eight AMAWATERWAYS river Cruises all have been outstanding

On my recent silhouette Cruises, the porch and lawn grill were not open for lunch every day—you had to look in the program to see whether they were offering lunch that day or not. I don’t eat sushi, but my impression was the same for that restaurant: lunch was not offered every day.
tuscan offered lunch once or twice, with a smaller menu than dinner and a smaller price tag.
Neither Murano nor petite chef ever offered lunch
if you are interested in specialty dining, once or twice during the cruise, a special dinner was served at the sushi restaurant. It was called the Taj and it was a multicourse Indian feast.

I don’t know of any way that you can avoid large groups.
On silhouette last week there were over 350 customers of one particular Belgian Travel agent. They had a couple of private parties in the Sky Lounge which meant that no one else could use the lounge at that time, but otherwise they were not a problem

TA in November and our first Celebrity cruise and will be on Silhouette . In checking the dining options on their website I did not see lunch options, only dinner and only 5 restaurants were listed. On the deck plans, there seems more?? yes/no??
On RCI there is the Windjammer, but what is this called on this ship?
Thanks for any guidance.
The buffet is called Oceanview. It is open for breakfast lunch and dinner.
The main dining room is open for breakfast and dinner every day and lunch on seadays.
in the Aqua Spa there is the aqua spa Café, which is open for breakfast and lunch
near the pool is the Mast bar which grills hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch. It closes at 6 PM and is not open for dinner.
those are the no extra charge options
then there are the specialty restaurants, sushi on five, Murano, the Porch, the Lawn Club Grill, Tuscan grill, and le petite chef at qsine.
sometimes lunches are offered in one or more of the specialty restaurants for a fee.

Silhouette has overhead heaters now in both restaurants. I had dinner at them both in Norway. Lawn club Grill was comfortable, but the porch is open on one side, and it became quite chilly in there, even with the blankets that they provided would definitely suggest bringing a wrap, jacket, or something to keep you warm.

BEST IDEA EVER, hope celebrity is reading thread.
On silhouette, there is an espresso machine at the gelato stand and during the morning rush-hour, there is a big sign there telling people that they can get a “to go” coffee drink there

It is highly unlikely that any of the current personnel will still be there when you sail, JDPCRUISERS

Remove the app from your arsenal of resources….it is just too unreliable.

Probably 7 AM if you can self disembark and can move all your suitcases by yourself;, it will be later if you need to put your luggage out the night before

Rotterdam is similar to most ports. The ship is normally cleared by about 7:00 AM an walk off start between 7-7:15. General disembarkation begins around 7:15-7:30. Disembarkation begins by tag numbers - Suites and Zenith are group 1 which mean they can exit the ship at anytime and are escorted to the disembarkation area.
CC elite and above and Concierge Club also get expedited departure.
Only if requested….they have a designated departure lounge but must request low numbered luggage tags.

Where would the non-window side be on the inside cabins?

And if there is a fee for changing the flight, be sure to factor in that if you think just grabbing a cab will be your fastest way, it might be as much as a €250 cab ride to the airport.

Thanks. If the ship arrives at 5, is there not an earlier time?
I was booked on a cruise finishing a day earlier, but we booked an extra day in Amsterdam.
Unfortunately we have an early flight & have to get to Amsterdam airport.
Our flight is 10. I know it is not recommended such an earlier flight but we originally planned to arrive the day before. I'm not sure if I can change our flights.
No, it is not possible to go earlier. I just did the same disembarking in Rotterdam last week.
I think you are in a pretty big problem situation with a 10 AM flight. It’s a long way from Rotterdam to the Amsterdam airport.
I would be working on changing the flight.

According to the itinerary ETA in Rotterdam is 5 am.
What is the earliest that we can disembark? I presume if we do it independently this could be quicker but I'm not sure we'd manage that.
We have Captains Club but only Select Member.
I've put a bid to upgrade to Concierge, but I doubt we'll get it.
Early disembarkation has nothing to do with your Captains Club status or your stateroom category of not in a suite.
Walkoffs, those who can take all their own luggage with no assistance, starts at approximately 7 AM.
BUT since you will be wanting them to take your luggage the night before, and issue you a number, they will probably start calling them around 7:30 so ask Guest Relations for the lowest possible number tag.

You are paying more for better accommodations and access to Retreat staff. The medical team is there for all and I doubt if being in retreat would get you any kind of priority there.

Can anyone confirm the ship boarding is really delayed? We received a mail from noreply@everbridge.net
Why would it not come from celebrity.com
We have seen nothing in the mobile app indicating a delay
The app is unreliable and incomplete

On the deck plan, this cabin has the extra bed (black square) so usually those have the bed closer to the bathroom/closet and extra bed closer to the veranda. At least that has been our experience on 3 Beyond Cruises.
Small correction. There is no verandah. Only a window that opens.
