patty1955 - we currently, for Sept.  2022, have 1000 dollar OBC from Azamara. We normally have OBC on our HAL, Princess, and Celebrity cruising. And that is not the small amount we get from our TA.

We had made final payment when the Azamara offer went from 500 OBC to 1000 OBC. Our TA was first told that they could not honor the increase. Someone on my Roll Call for our September cruise got the increase. So I again contacted my TA; he had to contact his Azamara rep; my increase to 1000 dollars OBC was honored based on their best price guarantee ( at least I think it was based on that guarantee). There was no discussion about it being a rebooking, just giving increased OBC. So keep trying either thru Azamara or your TA.

Thanks for responses. Yes, my TA will give us a small OBC,  but we did not choose OLife, so I just wondered if Oceania might offer OBC during a sale period. Sounds like they are not likely to do that. We sail by itinerary so will likely not change our booking.

We have booked an Oceania cruise for 2023, never having sailed with Oceania before. We like the itinerary but now are wondering why there is no OBC given by the cruise line. We are used to getting such credit on the other cruise lines we have sailed. Does Oceania ever offer OBC?

Once onboard and interested in the 19.95 per day full internet package, can we buy only part of the total trip days. So if our cruise is 11 days, can we skip the first couple of days and then purchase it for the next 9 days?

We have done many private tours and generally give a tip equal to about 10 dollars per person for full day, and five per person half day. I believe we did that in Croatia and Greece in 2019. 

Thanks for your replies everyone. Nothing indicates OBC for us on any device. So I will likely have to play the game of booking to see if credits appear and then backing out if I wish to.

I see my points and upcoming and past cruises at the top but that is all.

My TA’s confirmation shows it, but nothing I can yet find on Azamara itself. 

I have received additional OBC from Azamara’s current sale. Can I go somewhere in my account information to find if it is noted or any of my OBC is listed for my booked cruise?

I guess we are lucky to some extent because we fly daytime only, which normally means we land at Heathrow about 10:00 pm after our day flight out of JFK. After a decent sleep, we continue on to whatever European city we are going.We avoid overnight flights because I am never able to sleep on them.

Will there likely be taxis available for direct transfer from cruiseport to Bordeaux airport in September?

In the US you can buy a home in an over 55 community, something we did years ago. So we are in a community that allows a certain percentage to be under 55 years old (about 20%) but otherwise one person must be 55 years old and no family member can be younger than 19.

We have small flashlights  - about 3 inches long - that we each use in the middle of the night when needing the bathroom. We use it mainly to avoid accidentally stepping on our dog. Now it will be our latest “ must pack” item for our cruise and/ or hotels just to avoid hitting something and falling or hurting ourselves during the night.

I read thru the cruises involved in the new promo but did not see my Sept. 6 France Intensive in the listings. Does that mean that perhaps the cruise is selling well?

Going on Pursuit next year. Does the self serve laundry have bleach available?

I had a 19 day btb last fall in Italy,  Croatia. I had one black dress pant, two nicer tops. And I always wear flat shoes. I did bring a nicer purse too. Rest of evenings in MDR, I wore a more casual pant with less dressy tops. It seemed to me I was dressed appropriately. And laundry tool care of my needs.

Did you ever stay around the city of Leixoes rather than going to Porto? If so, did you find it interesting?

We did both in October 2019. I would definitely go to Split. We toured  ordinary with private guide for 3 hours. To sum it up, we were not very impressed, just hot and sweaty.

Celebrity cruise October 2-20, 2019. Gorgeous weather, usually 70-75F in Croatia/Montenegro/ Slovenia ports.

Looking for  shuttle service or car service from Copenhagen cruiseport to airport. I see huge pricing from car service company and a 75 dollar fee for a taxi. We would rather not do the ship’s early morning shuttle because we could stay on the ship a little longer in the morning.

Have you found a reasonable cost from a company for the transfer disembarking at the Copenhagen cruiseport?

Sorry to miss the earlier post. 

Circumstances may have us consider leaving our June HAL cruise two nights early. I understand we need HAL approval to do that. Do we approach the issue or let our TA do it?
