  1. We last sailed on the Pride in September of this year.  This was our seventh time on the ship and I have always found it to be clean and in good condition.

We see the crew always painting, repairing ceiling and floor tiles, and washing balconies.

Is there rust?  Sure, but it doesn't take away from the enjoyment of our cruise.  Our next is a Halloween cruise next year, and we're bringing all our kids and 5 grandkids!  The ship will be another year older and maybe have a little more rust, but we don't care.  The crew is outstanding!

  2. The last two or three times on the Pride, we arrived around 10:30, which is when the parking lot usually opens.

If you are Diamond/Platinum, or have purchased FTTF or having a wedding onboard, once you have parked,  you will be able to line up in the priority boarding que.

We have been onboard as early as 11:15-11:30.

  3. Going to Alaska was a "bucket list" item for us, so I did lots of research.  Since we wanted to spend a few days exploring before the cruise, that left Carnival out.

We kept looking at both Princess and Celebrity and decided to spend 4 days precruise in Alaska, taking a tout to the absolutely breathtaking Denali!  Took a train from Anchorage to Talkeetna, and stayed at a beautiful lodge.

    The cruise itself was amazing!

If I ever do get the chance to visit Alaska again, I would probably try Carnival, just because I would love to see the different ports.

  4. We'll be on the Legend next Sept., a Mediterranean cruise.  After 7 times on the Pride, and once on the Miracle, I'm sure you will love the size, space, and layout of the ship. I'm looking forward to seeing another Spirit class ship.

  5. The Miracle was our first Carnival Cruise ship, back in 2007, when she sailed out of New York!

We've been other ships since then but always loved the size and easy to manage Spirit Class ships.

Since Baltimore is only a short drive away for us, we now sail on the Pride, the Miracle's sister ship.  Just got off 9/8, our 7th time on her!

    I'm sure you'll have a great time.

  6. Just got off the Pride last Sunday, Sept. 8th.  This was our 7th time, and we rally didn't have any cons.

Buffet was good, breakfast in the MDR is better, David's was awesome, as usual, and the pizza, Blue Iguana and Guys were great.

Ship is older, but is well maintained.

Ken Byrne, the singing Maitre'd is fabulous, as was our cruise director, Dr. E.

    Enjoy!

  7. I only use a PVP also.  She's awesome, and we've used her for the past 5 or 6 years.  Sometimes I don't get to read my email.  She knows I like the casino, so she'll call if there is a great offer.  She also knows the location we like and she always get us a great cabin!  I can call her whenever I have a question and she answers right away.  Great customer service!

  8. We were on the Millenium Alaskan cruise this past May/June.  Took the advice of our Celebrity Cruise Planner and did the 3 day land tour first, then the cruise. The land tour was amazing and I'm so glad we did that first, so we could somewhat relax on the first day of the cruise. Denali was a "must see" for us, and it did not disappoint! The entire Alaskan itinerary was just amazing and I would not hesitate going with Celebrity again.

Both the land tour director and the cruise naturalist were so knowledgeable and personable, answering questions and if they didn't know the answer, they would check it out and get back to whomever asked the question.

  9. This is odd. I did a mock booking for the Equinox April 13 sailing and it lets me make all the selections, up to where you pay your deposit.

Then I logged on and went to my reservation and all the info for that cruise is still there.

I tried to look for charters from that month and couldn't find any. I use a Celebrity vacation planner so hope we can change everything around without any hassle.

  10. We were on the Millenium 6/1 - 6/8/22018, and did the 3 day land tour before. Our tour guide Dylan was awesome, constantly engaging with all of us, even had dinner with the six of us, and told us stories of how he came to love Alaska. The bus driver, Ron, saw wildlife before we did, and always stopped so we could get pictures. We were fortunate to see the entire Denali mountain, and he pulled over so we could get good pics.

In my opinion, the hotels were fine, but we really loved the Talkeetna Wilderness Lodge.

As far as the ship, we loved everything about it! Crew was always cleaning, painting, etc. to keep it shining, the food was good, even the entertainment, which I read was not always the best, was great!

    Just my thoughts.

  11. We were on the pride this past Halloween. As said before, there will be a pumpkin carving contest, there were a lot of decorations in the atrium, halloween themed desserts at dinner, a costume contest that was amazing, and the Thriller dance class.

It was so much fun that I would do it again in a heartbeat.
