Looking for feedback these 2 ships itinerary same which is best?

It will help if you gave your destination.

my personal chose would be Sapphire as both vessels are similar but Sapphire has Skywalker for viewing if going to Alaska

Apparently  Princess has hired a ton of new Customer service personnel but we came to find out  how little they knew about putting  into their web site  things like pass port information ,emergency contact info ie  . We were on the phone recently for over 6 hours getting completely frustrated  .Then the other day we ran into a person  in the  city of Santa Clarita , CA . , .headquarters   that was able to direct us to the area to log that info into the web site .Then we got stuck because the last item is a security picture   .I said how do you get your picture on their web site ? Well  the end result is we cancelled the cruise ,dumped the  $924  FCC & Booked a Holland America cruise  .Having done  87 past cruises  this is the most frustrating experience we ever had with any cruise line  . It just seems to us that  Princess can & does loose paz do to one untrained  personnel & secondly a too complicated  web site to put pre boarding information in . We had no problem doing the pre boarding with Holland America   .Same with Celebrity for B2B cruises in March

Have  you also run into this situation with Princess ?

I have never run into this situation or with Princess. But I’m a little unclear where you were trying to input all your info and specifically your security picture.

Most all is done on the Ocean Ready App and the Medallion app. You said you couldn’t load your security photo on the Web. I know of no way to do it online via the web only the Ocean Ready app

sorry it didn’t work out for you glad you found an alternative. Sometime your best resources for help is here with some very knowledgeable people.

I am not asking for an iron clad guarantee, again a straw man.

I am just asking for a best effort and porting and hoping that things will just automatically work out is not a best effort.

Only a 57% of clear skies.

That isn’t much better than a coin flip.

A cruise ship can move and make the odds better.  So why are you defending making the chances worse for seeing an indescribable event?

If a doctor told you a procedure only had a 57% of success but if you make some slight changes and it would go to 95% (admittedly a number I pulled out of the air for the sake of argument) wouldn’t you approve the changes?

Ask your request on your roll call, see where your support is.

And for thousands of people on board, both passengers and crew, seeing the eclipse is of overwhelming importance and Mazatlan is trivial.

Missing the eclipse would be heartbreaking while missing Mazatlan would simply be a disappointment.

The needs of the many out way the needs of the few or the one.

It’s would seem better for you to rally for support from the people in your roll call. They will be the ones traveling with you.

Yes, I love Adagio. The Royal Class ships have no equivalent.  That said, as much as we enjoy Vines, it appears to be a vastly underutilized venue and can be a quiet place before dinner. A blessing (because the mellow atmosphere is soothing) and a curse (because if it doesn’t generate revenue, they will replace it with a salty hot dog stand).

I second this choice, the best hidden location

Just performed a "sanity check" to make sure that I wasn't losing my mind, and went to the website of one of my favorite wineries.  Here's what they have on their website:

    The Winery

All winery visits are by appointment only.
Please email either my sister Xxxxx or me (Xxxxx) to arrange a time.

Please recognize that since we have no employees, we're not always able to accommodate requests.

And we're pretty much completely unavailable from mid-July thru mid-November due to bottling and harvest.

Thank you JimmyVWine but very few wineries are like that. I have a very good friend who fits that category. That winery would be Direct to consumer and mostly wine club only sales with each vintage sold out before release.
The OP is looking for something much different. Like a drive touring the wine country and enjoying a picnic lunch while tasting wine.

I enjoy your posts here on CC you add very good view into fine wines.
Next time your in Healdsburg try 106 The Roof Top  above The Mathewson

Lol! Ok then “wine pourers” . Although you mention meaningful winery visit, imo that would be a place that has a wine educator not just someone who reads the tasting notes and tells you what flavors you will taste!

Never had an issue with finding a place to taste during Harvest/Crush.

    Well said

It depends. Many small, family run operations close during harvest and crush, or strongly urge visitors to pick a different time. They call it “crush” for two reasons: what is happening to the grapes and what is happening to the employees. The winemaker and owners are more concerned with the production side in early October than they are with the customer relations side. Usually if I am invited to go out to Napa in October to pay a visit to a winery, it is to work the harvest and not to taste. That said, if you stick to the large producers like  Mondavi, Beringer, Phelps, Caymus, Silverado and the like, they will have a division of labor such that the hospitality side won’t shut down during crush.

I would agree with you in part, some wineries are by appointment only. I’m going into my 47th “crush” here in Sonoma County next week and looking forward to it.
