Your cabin is going to be great
The aft cabins have plenty of deck space for four people, with a great view
enjoy your cruise

Not sure the distance but when the bunks are down not much space in the room.
small room as it but with four people very tight.

I would avoid this cruise also for the same reasons mentioned. Your paying for a cruise to be able to use the ship public areas but with a big group certain venues at times will be off limits or taken over.

After you have cruised under the Golden Gate there is nothing better than being on your aft deck and looking back at the Gate as you cruise into the sunset.

I see what you mean, but can’t answer your question

In October 5 days San Pedro to Cabo and back
I booked it! 👍 But the only 2 flights that will work with Bart to SFO are Delta and I've heard horror stories about them. Am I chancing it by flying in that morning with them? Jet Blue timing won't work. Otherwise I have to take Alaska and arrive at 12:30 -- reading LA traffic is really bad
Try BART to Oakland and fly Southwest

Thank you for starting a new thread, looks like the Eclipse should be on its way soon.
I was booked for a September 2018 cruise and Scenic was wonderful in refunding all of of cost.
looking forward to reviews from the first passengers

I would add putting your bottles in a shipping case to avoid any breakage then you can check it in with your luggage

27 days and the clock is moving slower

Wait until you get onboard and you can ask passenger services or just get extra room cards from passenger services as if you lost your card. Then the persons can use their origanil card for around the ship and the extra card for the room where they sleep.
Hope this helps

I would watch out in rebooking for a lower fare. Your TA is right unless the 3 for free is still in place at the you will lose the perks for the current price and promotion being offered. If you like your current room and the 3 for free offer , a $100 is not worth the risk.

Usually you look out at the life boats just outside your window.
I would post again at the Princess Cruises forum here for a complete answer

Too true,I am still awaiting my additional expences refund.TA said that they had spoken to Headquarters in Australia,it would take 1 to 2 weeks!!!!!!!
Sorry you have been waiting so long, but if everything is in order it should not take that long.
Thank you for keeping us posted.

I did not get my airport tax or fuel duty from Scenic but have had to apply to airline to reimburse me for that (still waiting for that refund!). Can't understand how they are using different criteria for reimbursing each individual?! Not very professional.
It maybe if your from the US or not. Are tickets (US) included all fees in the price.
If you canceled your ticket with the airlines the taxes and fuel duty should be refunded to you. Maybe Scenic is making sure that you are not getting those costs refunded to you by the airlines.
As I said before we were treated fairly by Scenic on the refund as long as we provided proof that any part of our trip could not be refunded. Its frustrating and time consuming process without much competition.
It’s funny how no updates on the Eclipse now for over 6 months. I’m sure those that have a late January cruise are a little uneasy if their cruise is still on schedule for departure.
Wishing everyone successful refund.

I have now received total 100% refund of all expenditures. Cruise, tours, travel insurance and all airfare. I did not use a travel agent and dealt directly with the Boston office which was very accommodating.
The overall disappointment I still have with Scenic with their lack of communication, time we all have set aside for our trip and effort to provide proof of reimbursement for a lousy 25% will never be acceptable.
Scenic I know you read this thread step up to the plate

Thank you, this is what I had heard second hand. The only thing missing was the confirmation of the case going in the room.
We will probably bring a couple more for room consumption as the 36 will just cover the 30 dinners. Thank God we have free grats so we can afford the 500 plus corkage bill! LOL
FYI, I like you handle
Your welcome, I now don’t bring as many bottles on maybe just a case usually what we drink on our balcony.
And Wineforhealth (thank you) not sure how or why, but I have enjoyed growing, producing and consuming wine for well over 45 years.

As we are taking on three cases, caring it is not a very good option. On another thread, I was told they could take it to your room. The only piece of info missing is if they will put it in the room, or do I need to be there to get it when they drop it off in the hall.
When I have taken (more than 3 cases) wine on a cruise I tape the luggage tag on each shipper case. Once I have been contacted and payed the fee then the wine is delivered inside the cabin usually before 6 pm.
I do mark each case 1 of 3, 2 of 3 etc. have not lost a case yet.
I do hand carry a few bottles on the day of departure.
Hope this helps
Did I make the right cabin choice for our family on the Royal Princess?

I have been in that same cabin before and enjoy the aft for some great views of where you have been when cruise out of port.
