  1. Oh that’s a really hard question. We loved all 3 Disneys for all different reasons.

I’m not sure where you are from but I think Tokyo was a little more English friendly. Seems like most people knew the basics but in China it was hard to find anyone that spoke a word of English.

Shanghai’s ride were way better of course because they are brand new.

We just loved Japan. It was so clean and the people were polite. We loved taking the JR into Tokyo. It was very easy to get to Tokyo station from Disney. There were so many things to do.

Now the lines at Tokyo Disney are super long so be mentally prepared for that. For course we went Easter week so maybe they were longer.

It was nice in Shanghai that we bought 8 extra fast passes. Worth every cent.

I would go back to Tokyo in a heartbeat.

We also went to Hong Kong Disney and fell in love with it. It was very small but it was so laid back and the lines were very short. We stayed at the Explorers Lodge and was it absolutely unbelievable. They nicest hotel ever.

Don’t hesitate to ask any questions. I’ll try to answer.

HELP. LOL. I have lots of questions. Going March 2019 and need advice and tips. People say I’m nuts going all the way to Asia and seeing Disney. But after it’s done I can say I’ve been to every Disney Park in the world. (And seen the Great Wall).

  2. DD and I just got off LOS Sunday.

It was a great cruise. Here is some info for those getting ready to sail on her. We were on the Cozumel/Belize/Roatan itinerary. One sea day at the end.

There was a coffee card offered on board. It was $31 plus the 18% gratuities. You get 15 drinks with that. They also said you can get bottled water with it. (don't know for sure since we never did) And it is shareable but only good for the current sailing.

On Saturday morning I noticed they were offering a drink card as well. I think it was $67 or $69, good for 10 drinks. It may have been posted Friday after we left Cozumel, I'm not sure. I saw the flyer at Café Promenade. Again, this card was shareable.

Voom is a joke!!! Do NOT get the streaming. We were on deck 2 and the streaming never worked. The internet cut out a lot as well. In common areas the internet worked well but I never tried the streaming outside of our room so don't know how it works there. As for the room, not sure if it is because we were so low but it was our experience.

  3. Thanks everyone. I was thinking it was around $5 ish. UGH! But I guess that is better than $26. I either missed it or it was never offered at a lower price....I'm sailing again the end of the month and it was $18 on sale for that sailing. I was waiting to see if I could justify it after the upcoming cruise but now it is no longer on sale for the next sailing. LOL Go figure, I'm always a day late and dollar short.

  4. Your sea pass card will allow you to get 3 sodas at the bars on the ship and you can get all 3 at once. Ask for them to be unopened and you can drink them at your leisure throughout the day(s).

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This is perfect. The fountain sodas tastes a little funky to me. We were just on Allure and the freestyle machine was fine but to go to a bar the soda tasted like turpentine. Do they give you canned drinks in the DL? Do you know?

On Liberty in May they tasted the same so I was going to take my own soft drinks on board. Now I won't have to.

  6. Did South America in 2008. I wore light long sleeves and an Eddie Bauer down vest thing. We live in Texas and are not use to cold weather but that little vest thing kept me warm enough that that is all I needed. I had a coat with me but never put it on. I didn't take short sleeves but you will need it for the more northern ports. It was HOT at them.

  7. I am a new diamond...first sailing diamond in 3 weeks. I don't drink per say...just a frozen here and there. Can I go in the DL and get CANNED diet coke?

If you go to the DL say early, then are the free drinks taken off your account or can you then go to a bar with a non diamond friend?

  8. Who is "our"? Just adults or adults and kids?

I vote for Liberty. Belize is awesome for diving/snorkeling OR if you are into history the Mayan Ruins are FABULOUS! In Belize you can still climb the ruins.

Galveston is fun if you get in a day before. It is amazing how far they have come from being totally devasted by Hurricane Ike. There are quite a few things to do there as well.

Allure is an awesome ship but for the $1000...you can get drink packages and excursions on Liberty.

  9. Thanks for the question and the posts; I was unaware of the BOGO dining offer! I might be interested, but I'm still confused by one thing.

I don't understand how this jives with this sentence under the Additional Terms & Conditions: "Each reservation must be used on the first AND second nights of the sailing respectively." That's from the BOGO page.

The similar sentence on the 3-night package page is, "One reservation must be used on the first OR second night of the sailing." (I added the caps.)

From that "and" instead of "or," it seems like the BOGO is valid for only the first two nights. Congonati, I wonder if the info you were given on the phone applied only to the "usual" packages and not to the BOGO?

That is how it worked on our Allure Sailing!

We booked the minute we got on the ship, at Giovannis. Then told them we wanted Chops the next night. We were given a receipt stating we were on BOGO and we were charged each night, $15pp. The receipt was kind of our "insurance" in case they charged the regular price. I never saw this offer online. We could only get the BOGO for the first 2 nights of the sailing. I thought it was weird since night 2 was formal night and people tend to eat at the specialty restaurants on that night. The other thing my feable brain was thinking was it was buy one get one. So I thought DH and I could just eat at one or the other. NO. It is buy one get one for EACH PERSON. You HAVE to do both nights to get the special. ( i'm bad lol)

  10. you can drink as much as you want in the lounge. They will give you a diet coke one at a time and you are supposed to drink it in the lounge. They prefer you not take any drinks out of the lounge. I think they will pour it in a glass, not give you the can.

Thank you. I was kind of hoping to get a diet coke to take out with me. lol Can I bring my Yeti and they fill it? LOL

    What are the lounge hours?

  11. Ok silly question here. I just made DIAMOND. Woo hoo! Anyway, I will be sailing in a few weeks and am curious about the diamond lounge benefits and the 3 drinks loaded on to your seapass account.

Can you drink as much as you want while in the lounge or only get 3 drinks? Can you just get a canned diet coke or 2?

Are the loaded 3 drinks per day or is it 3 drinks for the cruise? If per day, can you bank them and have 5 one day etc? Can it be any drink or just a set few? Could I get canned soft drinks?

Oh, and my daughter is traveling with me, and a friend (separate cruise) in same cabin- will I be the only one allowed in the DL?

Thanks. Sorry if these are repeat questions.

  12. On the Navigator on the last sea day they had a tour of the galley, from a waiters point of view with a fabulous lunch after the tour. All the specialty restaurants cooked dishes and the desserts were to die for. It was $35 and the head waiter started "selling" it middle of the cruise at dinner. Do you know if they offer this on the Liberty? I would do this again in a heart beat!

  13. All rci captains are, especially the ones that get the new ships. Thank goodness, for he brought the ship through the storm with little damage and no loss to crew or passenger, with passengers not even losing their ability to post on cc;)

AND he made sure the superbowl was shown with no interruption. LOL (joke people joke)
