The menu is posted each day (not sure exactly what time) outside of the entrance to the dining room. We check it every day to decide if we want to eat in the MDR or go to the buffet.
They also post it on the Carnival Hub App every day

I forgot to add towel clips to my list. Keeps your towel from blowing away if it’s windy on deck.

1. Small first aid kit from the Dollar Tree. It has a few bandaids and some antibiotic cream. Also the small meds they sell like motion sickness and Tylenol. They are small and I just take them out of the box and put them in a ziploc.
2. A small soft sided cooler. This comes in handy if there's no refrigerator in the room and also for port beach days. I just fill it with a few of my canned adult beverages from the Cheers package that they left unopened for me and head to the beach.
3. Don't forget that bottle of wine you're allowed to bring. And the room steward can usually find you a corkscrew if you don't opt for something like Flip Flop wine that is a screw top.

So very sorry for your loss but love your celebration of her life. My mom passed away on Mother’s Day just 2 short weeks ago and her service is this Saturday. I will honor her and her adventurous cruising spirit by taking her with me in October to the Bahamas. Just the two of us as I let a small part of her become one with the waters she loved. Thank you for sharing this intimate part of yourself with us. Raise a tequila in honor and keep on travelin.

Loving your review, sense of humor and all the pink drinks....but eeewww! ! Did you pay good money for something that looks like it washed up on the beach and layed there for a few days?
-
Love your review so far and can’t wait till you get to board. My first solo cruise is in October and I can’t wait. Tequila is my arch nemesis but I love seeing your choices. Have a great trip from a fellow ATL neighbor.

Yeah. They say you have to start paying before you hit 15 because they cut you off from all alcohol once you hit 15 on cheers.
Pardon my ignorance, but if you're using the same S&S card for Cheers or to purchase, do you just have to tell the bartender not to apply it to Cheers?
-
Sort of like a Last Call, lolAlso last cruise I noticed if you got close to 15, it was on your receipt.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How do you keep track of the drinks you have with Cheers? Does the Hub App have a place where you can check how many you've had? Do you just ask the bartenders? I'm not sure if I'll ever get close to 15, but I'd like to keep track.

I am taking my first solo cruise and want to make sure I can communicate with the fam and watch Netflix or YouTube if I get bored with myself, lol. Do I need to go with Premium option?

I have the same issue with my daughters boyfriend. We are booked for February 2019 and I have left it as tba. I was told you do not have to assign a name to the booking until 2 weeks prior to sailing.

One excursion finally posted for my Feb 7, 2019 sailing. Hahaha...one!!

I can't speak for the Cheers program, but you can get a copy of your purchases from the kiosks.

Would a solo cruiser still get the free bottle of wine on the first night in the steakhouse? Can you take it with you or have it moved to your normal dining room for later nights?
-
I can not find the Liberty listed under the Carnival Meet and Mingle link. What am I doing wrong?

What transfer services has everyone used from the airport in Orlando to Port Canaveral? Carnival wants $72 round trip which seems pretty high for an hour bus ride.
-
1. Kids in the hot tubs unsupervised
2. Lines at Guest Services
3. Room service showing up too early in the morning

The last 2 cruises I’ve taken haven’t even checked the wine. I went through with 2 bottles for BF and I and no one ever said a word. Carnival Rep never even asked about it.
-
Where are you sailing from? We sailed from Puerto Rico, and there's a liquor store right across the street. We each brought on a bottle of wine, dropped it off in our room, then got off the ship and got another one. They don't keep track of who brings what, just what you're bringing on at that specific moment.
Sailing from Port Canaveral so probably not an option. Great idea though.

Another stupid question, but as a first time solo cruiser, I'm wondering if I have to pay double for my phantom cabin mate, can I take 2 bottles of wine with me. :o
-
This is probably a super stupid question, but since they make solo cruisers pay double for their cabin, do they charge you extra for the Cheers package?
-
We recently got back from a 5 night on the Triumph and I was surprised to find out they no longer want the customs forms filled out. Are there any other ports doing the same thing?

We were on the nov 25 cruise they have a propeller problem. The pitch of the prop can change and now it will only go to 20% and they cannot get enough thrust to go full speed only can make 14 instead of 21. Sitting in a motel in N.O. wait on the dec 4 cruise we were on a b/b/b so our middle cruise was canceled. The ship is at the mouth of the miss river headed to moblie ala for dry dock should be there sometime in the morning. Hope they get it fixed or let us know soon so I can cruise or go home.
Thanks for the update and super sorry for the crazy interruption in your trifecta. We are scheduled to sail her on Monday and will be heading to NOLA later today. I wish Carnival was able to make a decision with more than 24 hour notice.

There will be 5 of us in an ocean view room on the Elation. Me, my 3 adult kids and one boyfriend. We are very close and used to primitive tent camping. I think of it as a big adventure. Showers at the spa and group naps, lol. Should be a blast.
