We have been lucky to be offered the Chef's table at about 50% off on the first day, twice. We found it to be be fabulous both times! None of us are huge wine drinkers, so I'm not sure that we would ever pay anything close to full price for it. Just our opinion.

The library had a good selection and was open on the Adventure on the August 21 sailing. I can't say what is there now, of course.

I join the flock of those saying thank you to Bird! I followed your Adventure reports and found them very useful for our Aug 21 Adventure cruise. Funny thing--we are now considering an October cruise on the Freedom or Mariner. (Can't decide). Funny thing #2--my grandsons call me grandma Bird or Birdie because at one point I called myself an old bird. LOL. Thanks again.

Very excited, yes, and sorry for anyone that isn't.

Thanks for the quick feedback.
Downloading VeriFLY app and uploading docs was quick and painless. They verified our vaccination cards within 5 mins. Hardest part was getting closeup photos of our three travelers. All done with 30 minutes. Here's a question abour Verify. My husband and I set up our account and it let us set up the Charlotte to Nassau leg of the trip, but the airport in Nassau didn't show up when we tried to set that one up. Do you suppose that we have to do that one "after" we get to Nassau? Thank you.
Nevermind. I figured it out:) Thank you for the suggestion to use VeriFLY.

I got an email, sent about an hour ago, that updates our protocols for our Aug 21 sailing. We now have to have the test within 3 days. See below.
Adventure of the Seas Testing Update
We're reaching out with an important update on testing protocols for your upcoming August 21st, 2021 Adventure of the Seas sailing.Beginning with sailings departing August 1st, 2021, all guests ages 2 years and older will be required to complete a COVID-19 test no more than 3 days prior to their sail date, and receive a negative result in order to sail. You'll need to show proof of a negative result at the pier for check-in. While we have shortened the timeframe in which a test must be taken, we are adding flexibility by allowing any type of COVID-19 test, antigen or PCR.
Protocol requirements are subject change, as we exercise caution to help ensure the health of our guests, crew, and the destinations to visit. You can always view the latest protocols on our website.
We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation. If you have questions about these protocols or have any concerns about sailing as a result of them, please contact us at 954-628-9290 or 1 (800) 256-6649. We will gladly answer your questions or work with you to reschedule or refund your cruise.
Visit this link for all of our health protocols & additional details. Please save it for future reference.- 1

No luggage tags available yet for 8/21 Adventure, either.

Where is Captain Per?
I was just wondering this. I thought that he brought the Odyssey out for her debut, and that he would be back in rotation at some point.
According to the Crew Center on 5-6-21:
“As mentioned during today's PA announcement I had the great honor of taking command of this magnificent vessel today from Captain Per, who will be heading towards a well deserved vacation," said Captain Sindre Borsheim.
We shall see!

Got it, thanks! In the meatime, the price reduction has narrowed to being not much, lol, so I will keep my eye on it.

Thank you so much!! Yes, I have paid, but we are more than 40 days out! Great news.

It can't hurt to try! I thought that there was a 24 hour limit on repricing flights, but I will give it a whirl. Thank you.

Air2Sea prices for our Detroit-Nassau flights are actually about $50 less per person than when we booked.
Having said that, we are glad to be sailing in August, and I am not complaining!

This reminds me of the spinach/artichoke dip and chips that used to be available via room service. My kids loved it!!! Sorry if this is viewed as a hijack of the post (about maybe making room serivce complimentry during this restart), but you stirred up a memory:)

Booked the Hilton last night also!

My husband and I are booked on the Mariner for a B2B in August. For a handful of years, we have cruised during our anniversary week, whether it is someplace new like Cuba or what I call the "no brainer" cruise of Nassau and CoCo Cay, where there isn't a lot of intense planning required. LOL When we booked, I was convinced that these would sail. Lately, I have been keeping my eye on the Bermuda and Nassau sailings and remain truly undecided on making the switch.

Somewhere I read that our FCC relating to our June 11 Anthem Cruise would be issued within about 2 weeks. I "thought" that sounded pretty optimistic. LOL
Thanks all.

They had your uploaded insurance info so you are good to go, you should only have to show your State issued Driver's License.
In my hometown Massillon, oHIo if you planned on getting your shot through the City of Massillon Health Department they do check your addresses etc. if you are out of the city limits your appointment is cancelled .
16 year and older started in oHIo Monday
They said that they weren't going to bill them, anyway, so we'll see.

In oHIo we had to show our Red/White/Blue card or SSN card ( for payment ) along with our drivers license . All info was stored at the County Health Dept. and I am sure it is passed on to the State level too.
In Ohio, we only had to show our driver's license as an ID. We had uploaded our insurance info online, but were told we didn't need it. We live about a mile into Michigan but our service providers are in Ohio, so we were able to get the vaccine in Toledo. DH and I get our 2nd dose on Saturday.

They still haven't cancelled the Summer Anthem cruises yet. My June 11 9 Night Norwegian Fjord Cruise is still listed as a go, and can still book the 6 June/July cruises. I already re-booked a replacement Arctic Circle cruise for 2022, so just waiting for this to get cancelled. We can't figure out why it hasn't been already. Especially since we are in the US and would be flying over.
We are in the same boat (LOL) with the June 11 reservations and are waiting for the cancellation. We also booked the Artic Circle for 2022. The June cruise was already a replacement for Aug of 2020 that was supposed to go out of Copenhagen. Hoping that the third time is a charm.

9pm - Wow, that's later than I thought it would be!
That's what I was thinking. Soooo, if you fly in a day early and have to check out of your hotel by noon, how soon can you drop off your luggage at the port, I wonder. Maybe you just have the desk hold your luggage and hang around at the hotel.

Yes, of course. DH and I get our 2nd vaccine on Apr. 3. Mask is okay too. I am am hoping that we can keep the mask off when on the beach at Coco-Cay, but totally okay with the vaccination part, and are also okay with masks on board when necessary.

We have five booked; The closest being one that won't go--Norwegian fjords this June, and the farthest out being the replacement Artcic and Norwegian Fjords next July.

I got one for our January '22 cruise on Brilliance, out of Tampa. We have other cruises scheduled before this one and one after.

I have only sailed Royal 3 times and two of those times Per was the Captain. I always got a chuckle how he always began his announcements with "This is Captain Per froooommmm the bridge". Actually when he said "bridge" it sounded like "breach".
We have sailed with him a few times--I am 1/2 Norwegian, so I thought that I was the only one in our family that loved his announcements. Turns our our whole family including my son-in-law are huge fans also. He was the captain on our first cruise too, so there's that.

Our experience on the Adventure in August was drama free, so I am hoping that our October weekend on the Freedom is as fabulous! I agree that wearing the mask outside in the ports was super hot, but worth every minute of it.
We didn't experience any overcrowding or inconsiderate behavior at all. Our (early dinner) tablemate was across from us at a very long table in the main dining room, and we had a lovely time.
I did forget my mask once or twice, but always remembered while in the hallway before encountering anyone else!
