What are the hours of breakfast in Luminae and the hours of lunch?

On Equinox, 7:30-9 on port days, 8-9:30 on sea, lunch 12-1 daily. You just had to arrive prior to the end time. We arrived at 12:55 and were served a multi-course meal with nary a comment.

Good to hear they'll grant requests. I like my steamed, plain green veggies and salads, and I will definitely ask for some at least once a day. They were very good in Blu about bringing me spinach and broccoli, things like that, so I'm happy to know Luminae will be just as accommodating.

I don't know what they do to it, but their spinach is phenomenal. But it's more than just plain steamed, lots of good flavor.

I'm on Equinox now. Luminae is fantastic! Definitely the best food I've had on a cruise. But it would be very nice to have at least one local item per menu, but they are the standard rotating menus that have already been posted. I've only been to four lunches, but have seen three different menus and my mother says she saw a fourth on a day I didn't lunch. No Luminae items on the breakfast menu, as far as I could tell, and room service definitely arrived from the regular kitchen as my blueberry pancakes were quite different than those served in Luminae.

There's a definitive lack of salads on the Luminae menu, but they seemed more than happy to fill a request for salad at dinner and I think they'd try to fulfill any reasonable request. We haven't been given the MDR menus, but also haven't requested them.

At lunch in PG, my mother wanted to order 3 starters instead of a starter and main (thinking starters would be petite). They "had to check", but did let her, and of course it was way too much food for her as the starters can be quite generously sized.

If the International menu is moved to the penultimate night, does the "thank you" parade of crew also move? Or is that always on the final night?

I use it on my HTC Android phone - it works just fine. I don't have any tips for you, but the app does what it needs to.

Yes, each of the security areas has a separate line for FC.

Thanks, everyone, for the helpful answers! My Mariner status does show that star symbol with the asterisk atop it, so I guess they could see my Cunard history. I can always pop down to the MDR to check access before having mom make the trek.

She reminds me daily that we are going to Alaska - I think she is excited!

I've read here that even if it is your first time on HAL, you may have access to the Mariner Lunch on embarkation day for past travel on sister lines. I've sailed on Cunard, though am not sure how HAL would know that as when asked if I was a past passenger, I assumed they meant on HAL, and I said no and was assigned a Mariner number. Would we be able to join this lunch, and how would they know to let us in? Would prefer this over the Lido as I'm traveling with mother who'll find full service much easier to manage. Thanks!
