I can't really make out the menus on my computer. :(
if you open each up..you can right click on it and see choices to enlarge..
-
thanks...still looking thru it...
-
Yes, I don't know if the search is working but there are posts with photos of the new menus. Let's hope they rethink the salmon!

my search...only comes up with very old threads...so if anyone has the current one..please post it...thanks so much :)

II am also very sad to see the salmon removed from the always available in the evening. We eat at the specialty restaurants at least twice during the week and usually have beef so I always enjoyed the salmon option in the MDR. I don't eat any other seafood besides shrimp so this was a big perk for me.
I will hope that things work out well one way or the other.

Is the salmon really going???--It is my DHs "go to favorite"..
Maybe I missed the posting of "new" menu....is it here on CC?

Gosh, who knew one person could tick so many people off so quick! It was a horrible night and its doesn't make me a treacherous person to wonder when the captain has an 8am flight and one often hears of a reroute to avoid bad weather. Our cabin steward said it was the worst night that he has ever experienced and that his roommate was reduced to tears. Our concierge slept in Cagney's to get out of her room but it is what it is. After 5 cruises out of NYC, I will repeat that but maybe look to heading out of Florida from now on. Once the seas calmed to 26 feet, a nap and a shower did me and many other passengers a world of good. I will prob do a trip review in a few days when I calm down some more and get some rest.
I DO feel bad that you had such a terrible return. I am sure it was a scary, uncomfortable experience.......BUT I think you struck a nerve with some of us with your allegations about the captain's motives...there is no way any of the captains would put their passengers/staff/ship in harms way for ANY reason.. And knowing how captains usually use humor to put their guests at ease...you obviously mis-interpreted his comment .

This thread has been "buried" for awhile..

I think it equals about the same. Although I would rather have the OBC and spend it on what I want. It would have been nice to combine but oh well I booked anyway. :D
Norma
I agree !
-
I was told no. Called back 3 times, 3 different people and no one could combine the 2. :(
I just called.....was told...could have $300 suite OBC OR $150 suite OBC for 1 person and other person get Valentine Perks...
-
For a new booking...is the Valentine promotion..combinable with booking suite 9 month in advance?
-
They said another 8 - 10 for tonight. Can you believe it??
NO...NO...NO I CAN'T TAKE ANY MORE.......(I heard about another 3 or so tonight...after this sleet.....)

Glad it is back !!! I missed it !

We have a foot here. (Bergen County..North Jersey)..so far...snowing about 2-3 inches an hour...
-
99! Wow! God bless her!!!
yes..she lived right/healthy...not like me...I have too many vices:eek:
-
I AM SICK OF THIS WEATHER !
Here in Northern NJ..Bergen County...we are runing out of places to put the snow...my driveway is half its size. my roof is covered with chunks of ice, roads have little mountains of snow on sides..making it hard to see at intersections....and many towns/stores are out of salt...next storm.. tomorrow night into Thusday...calling for another foot...! And it is COLD...teens/low 20s for weeks...
I DO wish I had a cruise to look forward to right now...:(
OMG I know. I can't find salt anywhere and the darn pile at the edge of my driveway is almost as tall as I am LOL I'm laughing but it's really not funny. I don't know where they are going to put it all if we really do get the 20+ inches they are saying. Our schools get 1 more snow day, which will be Thursday, and then they start taking away from spring break. I am beyond done!!! I am never, ever going to complain about how hot it is in the summer again.AND to make it worse...I am care giver for my 99 year old mom this month....she is with us....and I pray...she stays healthy...no way would I be able to get her to the doctor!!!!

I needed this today ....thanks!!!!:D

The Jewel really does a nice job..showcasing the Indian food...at one of the "islands"---at the buffet.....the quality was great..I enjoyed in very much....Not as happy with it on the Gem...just not as good at all....
and thanks to the poster who mentioned ordering it in the MDR..I never would have thought of that...;)

Enjoy every minute :D (I am trying not to be jealous;))

Honestly, I think NCL went over and above what was necessary with the onboard credit. As has been said on these boards a thousand times before, you entered into a contract with NCL at an agreed upon price and now you want to cry foul. This after they have offered you a better cabin choice which you refused because of location. This cruise consultant bent over backwards to make some sort of peace offering and it wasn't good enough for you. If you choose to not cruise with NCL again, that is your choice, however, holding the cruiseline responsible for essentially your bad timing in booking is a tad over the top.
I agree:)

Can you not get the same results by letting your ice cream melt? :D
NOT with the ones I like....gazpacho and avacado/tomatillo...:D:D
PS--Those are the ones I love...

Jaja, Ikirumata,
Thanks for the info for St John and Halifax. Since we want to do some shopping in St John, am looking to go out to Irving Nature Park, though will get to the FundyTrail one day :)
Jaja - is the company called Great Earth Expeditions?
Steve
Yes.....they do have a website and I believe on Expedia..if you look up Halifax.......tell me if you have problems finding it.......
-
thanks to all for posting the info. For St John, I am leading to the Fundy Trail. My wife and I love to hike and I'm hoping the 2nd week in Sept will be beautiful there. My question about this is how long of a drive is it from the port to the park and what is the best route? Also, are there any particular trails we should be doing?
Steve
I have a great idea for you in Halifax......We did a private excursion..fall of 2013 Called.....Great EARTH Expeditions.....highly regarded...great trip to Peggys Cove...(the lighthouse was just the end...the REALLY great part was the hike to the ocean (before Peggys).....with unbelievable coast views.......(it is a small excursion...van holds about 8-)....they have a website ...
