Well if we have to walk to guest services to cash the travelers cheques that is ok. Wonder if they could do this in the Consierge Lounge? On HAL they would do currency exchange in the Neptune Lounge. Regardless, I refuse to pay the 5%.

Think to be safe we will bring travelers cheques. Hate to pay 5%. To bad you can't preorder casino credit like on other lines....but then again you would be taking away potential profit from them.

If we could use the card in the slot machine that would work!

First time cruising on Royal. I understand that if you charge money in the casino to your on board account you are charged a 5% surcharge. I know on Celebrity, if you are staying in a Penthouse Suite they waive the charge. Does anyone know if they waive the charge if you are staying in an Owners Suite or the Royal Family Suite?

Does anyone know how many outlets in the OS? Hoping to not bring powerstrip.

Sailing July 29th on Royal Caribbean. We have transfers through the cruise from our hotel to the port. Does a hone know what time we can expect to depart the hotel and also how is the drive to the port?

Is this for sailings after July 1st, similar to Celebrity? Takes effect June 1st for sailings after July 1st?

I hope we have the same experience. As I have learned some ports are better than others for embarkation.

We are 34 days from sailing and still no documents with luggage tag to print or order. From what I read it is because our air is booked through ChoiceAir.

Query is in regards to embarkation. On Celebrity we have had escort on to ship (can't remember which embarkation port). Also other lines have Susie specific lines. Again just trying to anticipate what to expect. Our family is staying one night precruise in London, booked through RCL, and have transfers from hotel to port. There is a total of 14 of us. 2 Royal Famiily Suites and 2 Owners Suites.

We will be embarking in Southampton this june. First time with RCL and first time out of Southampton. We are booked in an OS, and rest of group in Royal Family Suite. Can anyone who has stayed in either of these cabin types, or suites, let me know what to expect. My DH and I are Diamond (due to Cruising with Celebrity) while rest of group is not. Thank you!

Being in the PH did you receive an escort on the ship for embarkation? When we did a TA back in 2013 we were in a RS and when checking in they did not even mention that we could go to Michael's until our cabin was ready. I on,y knew about the because my mom had a PH on a previous cruise.

Thank you for the information regarding the fact that there is no surcharge in casino if you are in PH. Any other "perks" for PH that are not written anywhere? September will be first time in PH ( have done RS before) and do t want to miss out on anything

How far in advance can we request the luggage tags if we are staying in a suite?

I saw it on a very old post,2004, so that is why I asked. Agree with salt water.

We have booked a PH on the Millennium's Pacific Crossing. When looking online I found some old pictures which showed a treadmill on the veranda. Has anyone ever requested to have one on the veranda or a stationary bike? It is just my DH and I so there is plenty of room.

Although you made reservation direct,y with ChouceAir, call Delta directly. We had similar situation with United. Booked through Choiceair back in November, the fare went down over 2k per person. choiceair said nothing could be done. Called united and after pay the change fee we have a nice travel voucher.

We have this hotel booked 1 night precruise for a transpacific in September. We were able to use airline miles to pay for the room....just another option if you have airline Mi,es.

We will Be sailing on Enchantment of the Seas in June and staying in an OS. Does Royal, like Celebrity, have a loungr where suite guests may stay until cabin is ready?

I would love to see the water bottle filling stations like they have in airports. Sort of like a water fountain, except you sit the bottle on a shelf, water comes from above and a spout never touches any bottle.

I agree with having water bottle filling stations! They are great! In addition to being more sanitary you save on plastic in the landfills.

Has Michael's club always had complimentary beverages for suite passengers, RS and PH, or is this new?

Thank you for the post. We are elite on celebrity and will be taking our first Royal cruise this summer. However not even on the ship and I am disappointed that we can not order a bottle of liquor for the suite. Celebrity gives us 2!

Has Celebrity ever done a promotion for crossings, whether Atlantic or Pacific? I am watching the Pacific crossing for September and did notice a price drop for many cabins except the higher suites.
