  1. Color me shocked. I had cancelled my March 2020 cruise about 10 days before HAL. There had been a promise of FCC for the cancellation fees. Due to being immuno-suppressed, and likely not being able to cruise for a good while, I tried getting a refund of the FCC. My emails to customer relations were ignored, but then I emailed reservations and was told I would be reviewed as an exception, but it could take 6 months to hear. Lo and behold I got my credit card bill today, which showed a large credit! I checked and HAL sent the refund on the 17th! Hallelujah!
  2. I initially sent an email to guest relations about getting FCC refunded in cash and heard nothing. I sent one in early August to reservations_submit@hollandamerica.com and heard back in 2 days. They said they added my request to an exceptions tracker for consideration and that the review for an exception could take 3-6 months. I have medical issues now that may end my cruising for a while, so I hope I can get a refund. I told them I could provide documentation of that. So I sit and wait.
  3. My first ever HAL cruise was on the Statendam in 2006, Auckland NZ to Sydney Australia.
  4. No FCC showing for me either. April cruise was cancelled in March, and nada. One person I spoke to said it was being refunded, but I didn't believe that. I sent an email asking about it and was told it could take 3-6 months. I'm not sure if that's from the cancellation date or the date of the email, which was early August. Sigh.
  5. I have been having trouble logging in today, using my PC with Chrome. I'd click on log in and nothing would happen. Or it would let me log in, but then immediately log me out. I just cleared out everything using CCleaner, and restarted the computer. This time it let me log in, but the site is still wonky, as it briefly logged me back out then in again.

  7. He had a negative test (but it doesn't say when) prior to arriving in Alaska. He had another test at the airport, but boarded before results were known. Those results took 3 days to come back. Could have gotten it anywhere between that first test and arrival.

Before I cancelled my April cruise, HAL had sent me an email that said the following: We will allow those booked on sailings between now and May 31, 2020, the option of cancelling their booking (no later than March 31, 2020, with a minimum of 72 hours in advance of their departure date). Any cancellation will receive a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) for the amount of your cancellation fee, which can be used for another cruise in 2020 or 2021. Still not showing any FCC on my account.
  10. Same here for a cruise I cancelled in March. Shows no available FCC. Tired of waiting, I called earlier in the week and the person claimed it was being refunded instead (which would be great as I don't know when I will cruise again due to medical issues). I'll believe it when I see it!

  12. I called HAL yesterday and surprisingly got right through. I told the person I spoke to that I was inquiring about the FCC since online it says I have none. He claimed that the money had been approved to be refunded to me on 7/23 (I had sent an email weeks ago about my medical issues and that I could provide a doctor's letter as to why I had cancelled). He said it would take about a week to go through. I'LL BELIEVE IT WHEN I SEE IT! If it happens, that's great.
  13. I don't have any other cruise booked than the one I cancelled, so it can't have been applied to anything. Just not there, so far. I suppose I could call, but I was trying to give them a chance, knowing they are overrun. But it's been 4 months! That's more than enough time. I even tried using different browsers to look at my account, as someone had said they couldn't see the credits in Chrome but could in Firefox. That didn't work for me either. So here I wait.
  14. I cancelled an April cruise in March (unfortunately about 10 days before HAL cancelled it). I got a partial refund to my cc, but no email about the FCC which I was supposed to get, nor does it show on the website.
