I've been to Mazatlan twice before. We were going to meet friends that live there, but they can no longer spend the day with us, so I was looking into the Salsa and Salsa Excursion from Carnival Panorama. The reviews are really mixed, so I thought I'd ask here what everyones thoughts were: According to the details: Sightseeing Tour in an open-air bus Go to Royal Villa in the Golden Zone for the event. Free time at the end of the day About us: 50-60's. We spend our spare time drinking and dancing. Not really pool or beach people. If we go to a beach in Mexico, it's to sit at a bar and listen to the mariachis. Thoughts?

I'll be there Sunday! Hopefully the smoke clears a bit by then. I'm doing the D3l: 14-Day Double Denali. We get to Fairbanks on Sunday, July 3rd to do the land portion and board the Nieuw Amsterdam on July 10th. I also am happy more people are posting about the land tours. When I made this reservation about a year ago, it seemed like there was no info about the land portion.

Has anyone else gotten a message like this? The HAL website still has the same 'recommended' and I'm not seeing this anywhere else. I have an Alaska cruise coming up next month and this is a worry of mine.

Thanks for the heads up, I haven't received that email myself yet. We are doing a land first in July from Fairbanks.
