  1. We were on the Summitt that had the accident at Tortola. I can say that st. Kitts was the least windy roads of any of the islands. The on,y narrow windy roads were the ones up tot the fort. The rest of the roads were came compared to Tortola and Dominica.

Had a great tour with Thenford Grey. We had a private 8 person tour. The van was comfortable with extra room. Driver was fantastic. We spend most of our time at Romney manor and the fort. Only spent about an hour at the beach but that was our choice. Water wa rougher than expected and we had several none swimmers in our group.

The driver was very accommodating about dropping some of the group back at our ship which was docked at the industrial pier and the rest back in town for some shopping.

Would use Thenford Grey tours again, we had a lovely time .

  2. Just returned from Celebrity Summitt yesterday. We had a wonderful tour in Dominca with Reyno tours.

We did a private tour for 8 and we loved it. It was a physically exhausting day. We did a tour of city, then went to emerald pool , Tito gorge, trafalgar falls, dive through botonical gardens. We had a great guide who was an encyclopedia of knowledge bout the island. She was very helpful in walking with us to Emerald pool and trafalgar falls. We were an older group and we did the hiking, walking steps etc and our guide stayed with the slowest person the entire time.

We were very pleased with Reyno Tours and agreed that this was our favorite island of the trip.

  3. We just returned from 14 day cruise and went to the Boatyard with a group of around 15 -20 people (most in their 60's)

I was at Lobster Alive a few years ago and enjoyed it but this time I decided to do the Boatyard and liked it better.

Everyone loved the Boatyard and their facilities. We used the water trampoline and the rope swing and high dive platform.

We were having so much fun we probably stayed a couple hours longer than we originally anticipated. I was surprised how much everyone liked the various water toys.

  4. We just returned from a 14 day Caribbean cruise and did this excursion. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

We were a group of 7 (ages 52 to 72). I've been to the Caribbean multiple times and planned lots of private (non ship) excursions. This rates as one of the best.

We walked the 10 minutes to the marina to get on the boat. There were a total of 15 guests plus Capt. Mike. The boat is fantastic - a high speed boat (like used by DEA to chase drug runners).

We had a tour of St. Maarten by water, going past the expensive yachts, large homes etc.

The fun part was going very fast in the boat. Some of us sat and others stood with the wind blowing in our hair, listening to the music and enjoying the fast ride.

We stopped at a couple of snorkel stops and saw turtles, stingray and fish. Snorkeling was so so- nice but not lots of fish but we didn't care because what we enjoyed was the tour of the island by a fast boat.

We stopped at Pinel Island for lunch at the Yellow Bird restaurant. You have to wade in the water from the boat to the shore (which was loved doing). The island is beautiful and the water lovely.

Afterwards we made another stop for swimming in the most beautiful water near the most expensive hotel on the island.

Then we headed to Maho beach to see the planes fly above our head. We had to race the boat to get there before the plane came in - it was great. We are racing in the boat and the plane is in the sky right above us. The boat stops and the plane is right over us and lands at the airport.

Everyone in my group loved this excursion. One of the people said that it was the high point of the cruise.

I can't say enough about how much fun this was. It is worth more than we paid - and next time we are in St. Maarten - I would book this again.

If you have any questions let me know.

  5. I agree- we got a balconey a couple of years ago -now I can't get my husband to give up balconey. We had always done inside before -but even though we don't spend a lot of time in cabin - when we are there we use the balconey. Always eat breakfast out there, pre-dinner we sit out there with our glass of wine. Also after evening - we sit out there with late night snack and read or just watch the water.

I was surprised how much we do use the balconey. It also gives us a bit more spreading out room. Especially when getting ready for dinner -my husband will sit out there while I'm getting ready. We arent bumping into each other so much.
