On your return to Orlando will you want a car to do any activities that day as well as return to the import on the 7th? A car is likely the easiest and most convenient.

We are opting for a tour of Barcelona which includes pick up at the airport and delivery to the port. Expensive but will give us a chance to see Barcelona with a guide.

DS is also T1 and we carried on chocolate milk drink boxes, his preferred treatment for a low, with no problems.

We played Port Royal just prior to the tournament and it was great. Wide open course with lovely views. Then we played Turtle Hill - excellent par 3 that made you use most of the clubs in your bag. No bags allowed on the bus so we used a taxi to each - easy to get right at the pier. Enjoy - can't wait to return and play again.

We have cruised that week after the Thanksgiving holiday (your NCL choice) and it was wonderful. The ship was being decorated for the holiday which made it even prettier. There were very few children as the big family event was the previous week. And a chance to spend a couple days in New Orleans adds to the appeal.

Welcome to the adventure of cruising! May is a lovely time to cruise - relatively quiet prior to the summer family vacations. The big deal is that it is VERY humid (different than our dry heat in the desert). Read about the experience and look forward to hearing that you had a great trip - you have very nice children!

As the Mom of a "climber" make sure you are comfortable with your wee one and a balcony.

We even split the mess - each carry on has half the supply. Learned that lesson when a bag was accidentally left in the airport restroom.

We sailed at that time of year - and were in shorts in Vancouver and Skagway, light jackets in Icy Strait Point and Juneau, then more layers on deck for Hubbard Glacier. Funny part of this trip - only two of four suitcases (family of 4) made it to the ship and we discovered we could travel with much less than we thought.

In the past there was a 12 month malarial deferral but that changed a couple years back. Now the Zika deferral is 30 days with other rules relating to sexual activity as well. The FDA sets these guidelines so your best reference is a call to them.

We did a helicopter trip to the glacier - highlight of the wonderful trip. The company
provided all gear including pants and jackets as well as correct boots. They were aware DS has Type 1 diabetes and even verified he had snacks for that time.

Like NurseDave I pack with bundles and if I Take time to assure they are smooth when folded they come out looking great. I do roll underclothes and pajamas to fill in the bottom.

On your sea pass. Bartender has a list of the beverages available with the voucher. I never tried to order anything else (am pretty boring) but other folks report latitude on that.

Ladies need to dry and style hair in front of the dressing table/desk mirror. It is well lit and I have no problems with doing this and it is away from the stream in the tiny bathroom.
I use a white noise app on my Iphone rather than carry any additional machines. As far as clothes - bring fewer than you think. For Alaska we found layers worked great and we were in shorts in Vancouver and Skagway - only really cool day was when were at the glaciers and layers worked great for us. My dresses/DH dress shirts go inside dry cleaner bags which capture a bit of air and make the wrinkles minimal. I pack very light so that we can go with 22" carry on only so I plan my wardrobe carefully so that I do not worry about weight limits.
Alaska was beautiful - relax and have a great time.

There was a lecturer on our Bermuda cruise on Grandeur a couple years ago. Unfortunately he was not a good lecturer through he had interesting topics. Each day we would give him a try hoping it would be better but it was not. Would definitely enjoy good lecturers on board the ship.

Another lesson from way to many flights - the taxi and wait to take off is variable in length so wait to give her a snack or drink until you are done with the push back and taxi. Just be ready to give them to her when you are ready to actually take off otherwise I have had the critters finish before the take off. Have a great time.

I believe that it is 7.8" deep rather than wide. Good luck with this.

Hate to hear the card room is going away - we used it every day and it was frequently pretty full with families playing games.

As a full time traveler I love my Lush cosmetics solid shampoo. It is not a liquid so no TSA issues and leaves my hair feeling great. Also choose to always bring my own soap so that I have no skin issues. A week of sun, water and wind can be pretty taxing on hair and skin.

Have to say that at 17 our boys were not interested in the teen activities. They managed to meet up with other teens at the pool and found a group they enjoyed. Also ping pong was a draw with them. Have a great time - we sailed the Grandeur four times with our boys. Not the most exciting ship but we enjoyed plenty of activities.

Bermuda is so lovely - how about something like a sunset sail dinner while in Bermuda?

We have had wonderful Christmas Eve time with our much smaller family. Instead of packing gifts each of us had $15 to spend on a gift we found during the cruise - was lots of fun. The dinner in the main dining room was lovely with traditional items of both meat and fish. There was carol singing in the Centrum and a gift on our beds. Enjoy the family time.

Our standard 22" roller board fits fine - I imagine an oversize duffle style that some folks try to carry on might be a problem. I love having my baggage with me, we are unpacked and on vacation within 10" of getting into our cabin.

Due to the late departure time we flew in on departure day - had plenty of time as the taxi ride was quick and easy. We did not have to wait for baggage at the airport as we had packed in carry on only. Have a great cruise.

We enjoyed a great day at Doctors Cave - safe feeling, no vendors allowed and very good food. We are a family of four and used a taxi from the port without issue. Have fun.
