  1. I travel every week both by car and fly. For me it is a toss up-

Spinners are easier to push on flat smooth surfaces but a pain in bumpy or carpeting. The wheels do eat up a bit more space so if you carry on as I often do, I don't want to give that up. And as noted above that may not be a rugged - my wheels broke off before zippers ever gave way.

  2. My husband cruises to please me and as long as he doesn't look out at the ocean he is fine. So I only get to sail every few years and enjoy them while we are on them. Our next is a transatlantic to celebrate our retirements this fall - hopefully he will enjoy so we plan more in the future. Otherwise I will look to sail solo in the future while he is playing in a poker tournament (torture for me to spend time in loud, smoky casino). That marriage compromise.

  3. I too am a tea snob and bring my own tea brew mug with strainer. I have had an issue that the hot water was brought in a pot that has also held coffee - yuck.. So I ask them to fill my brewer with hot water and then brew. As far as milk - your best bet is the Windjammer. we keep milk for our son with Type 1 diabetes so always have a true small refrigerator in the room to keep it cold.

  4. We always pack in airline carry on size bags which fit very nicely through the scanner at the port. We choose to keep them with us as we don't fight any lines for lunch and are unpacked and enjoying the ship as soon as the rooms open. our final reason is no chance of misplaced luggage.

    Have fun!

  5. That really depends on how much you like to dress up at night. We pack two 22" carry on size for a week cruise, plus a personal bag each - don't have to worry about missing baggage. Toiletries are all small size and plenty for a week. Dark slacks/capris for dinner as well as sundresses that can be worn one night and then the next day. Two swim suits with a coverup plus two pair of shorts with 4 tops for daytime wear. I wear only comfortable shoes (no heels) so sneakers, flip flops and a pair of black flat sandals for dinner are all we need. DH wears slacks and long sleeve shirt to dinner - a suit reminds him too much of work requirements. For us, packing very light is what we prefer but it is not for everyone.

    Have fun!

  6. Have a great time!

My husband wears leather sandals with trousers to dinner and looks great. Shirts are either polos or woven cotton or linen. For formal night he will wear a dress shirt and tie with a sport jacket. We can pack for a 10 day vacation in two 22" carry on bags so that may influence our attitude on dress. For port ideas I suggest looking at the Ports of Call boards here for ideas, additionally I comb through Trip Advisor, etc for ideas. If the speciality restaurant date is important for an event, those I would get in advance, otherwise you can wait until you are on board.
