We personally love cruising at Christmas- though we always had our sons with us. Reduced stress at home, total relaxation during the cruise, and no Christmas tree to put away once we were home. The ship was lovely with decorations everywhere and the weather in our area (Caribbean) was delightful. Each of us drew a name and bought that person a $20 gift at a port on the trip- fun to select and a great memory.

I agree with the $35 from our cruise in August. It is a short ride (less than 30") and if you want those 2 bottles of wine there is a shop about half a mile away that our driver was happy to let us stop at.
