Have you tried the shower goop? If you haven't, you can't judge it.
Exactly. It works great. I travel with fabric that packs neatly, dries quickly and never wrinkles. Have never felt the need to use laundry on a ship even those that have washers and dryers provided.

My late husband used wheelchair assist on several occasions. As I recall, we were met outside the terminal. If we arrived after cabins were ready we were taken directly to the cabin. Otherwise, we were left wherever we asked (WJ, Cafe Promenade) and someone would have to go to the cabin once they were ready to retrieve any rented wheelchairs/scooters.

Expense to get to ship is a big factor for many. I know back when loyalty points were figured differently Floridians living close to the ports could take 3 or 4 day cruises in inside cabins and climb the ranks quickly and relatively inexpensively.

Think of it this way - if you had paid for certain privileges or earned them via loyalty status and half the others in line brought along travel companions who had not, thereby infringing upon and delaying your boarding experience how would you feel.

If you see anything he might like on the regular menu, he can certainly have it and you can have anything you want from the kids menu.

I remember once in Bermuda the ship was pulling away from the dock. I was sitting on my balcony and heard shouting. Two young girls were running toward the ship. The captain actually backed up to get them. I’m guessing they were teenagers and had hysterical parents on board and the captain thought better of leaving them to their own resources on the island.

I've read conflicting reports. It would be great if all ships had that policy. We're doing a B2B this month. It would be nice if I could go down in the morning and get 5 beers for me and 5 for my wife to put in my stateroom for the next cruise.
Not sure why you would do that - you would not be getting four additional vouchers that day.

I always asked for wheelchair assistance for my late husband. Sometimes it meant getting onboard a bit later if there were a lot of people needing assistance but it was helpful.

I’d see the loyalty ambassador on the first leg who can verify your status and advise the LA on the second leg to be prepared to expect you.

I can remember the free cover charge once a voyage being a perk. When the first JR's opened it was free if I'm remembering correctly.
That’s correct. On our first RC cruise it was free and lines to get in went on forever. Then they started charging but C&A members got a coupon for a free visit (don’t believe beverages were included). All levels got the coupon as I think we were only gold or at best platinum at the time. Not big fans so usually gave the coupons away.

BOGO shake at Johnny's was an offer loaded on most sailings
Right, but not for a meal.

Hello,
Since other benefits were questioned: Jonny Rockets BOGO still available?
Thanks!
I don’t recall that ever being a perk.

About the soda tumbler you get, can you ONLY use that at the free style coke machine or can I use a plastic cup there. My thought is having to keep that cup clean on a cruise could be difficult. I like it as a souvenir but would not want to be frequently using it on the cruise as it might be difficult to keep clean.
The tumbler has a chip built into its base which is what activates the machine - otherwise anyone could use it with any cup. It’s not like the tumbler is going to get filthy, just rinse it out with hot water and a few drops of the liquid goop in the shower.

I have to disagree.
Meals charges are per person, not order extra and feed two more adults. Those without the package need to pay the cover. So sad to suggest putting the manager in an uncomfortable position to say no to the passenger and fear a bad review. The OP should not ask for two free meals, even if they ask politely.
Frankly, I was shocked to read the initial post suggesting the sharing ( with adults).
M
Absolutely. Would these people expect to go to an all you can eat buffet, pay for two and expect to feed four adults for the same price (even if they don’t eat much and they ask politely)? So rude.

Since when? People get a room across from or next door to kids all the time.Only if they are your OWN kids.

While it is not “required” that you cancel reservations you don’t intend to use, it is certainly the courteous thing to do so that someone else can be given that table.

why would it matter for booking purposes ?
just book 1 adult in each room . then sleep where you want.
Connecting cabins = same room basically , when door is left open
It matters to OP because one parent would lose suite benefits if booked in another cabin.

May be splitting hairs here, however, in land-based situations where a sales tax is imposed do you tip based on total bill including tax or just on the cost of the food and beverages?
I’ve always tipped on the pretax price at land based restaurants (and always at least 20%). One small issue in adding to the 18% charged in specialty restaurants is that I’ve already paid a daily gratuity in general.

Not true. We were recently on Enchantment of the Seas. As Diamond Plus we were able to use the Concierge Lounge. Our drinks did count against our 5 drink allowance. I will add we were not in a suite if that makes a difference.
Yes, it does make a difference. If you are not in a suite you will be charged.

Does anyone know if Jr Suites on Deck 6 have dividers on the balcony that can be opened to connect 2 cabins? Looking at 6392 & 6394.
Thanks.
Balcony dividers on Explorer cannot be opened.

I have never done this before. Sailing solo and wondering if they allow to pick up a meal in the main dining room and take to your room? If so, do you order by phone or in person? Or perhaps you must use room service? Thanks for any advice.
You can’t order room service from the MDR unless you are in a full suite. You can probably go in person to ask for takeout but it would probably be easier to go to the WJ and fill a plate to take out.

It has been suggested that you bring your own fitted sheets as they only use folded up regular sheets.

Bringing wine onboard

You can definitely buy it but you can’t take it with you. They bring it to your cabin usually the night before you disembark. I always get the flavored rum for baking rum cake for the holidays. They have a fairly decent selection of liquor but can sell out of things.
