The Rockettes Christmas Show at Radio City Music Hall in New York City begins this week. We were there the Saturday before Christmas last year. It really gets you in the holiday spirit to see this show and to see the tree at Rockefeller Center. Nothing like being in New York near Christmas.

Great review Cupcrazy. Are there smoke free nights in the casino? Thought I saw mentioned a while back the formal nights are. Thanks. Are you a Blue Jays fan? We are Orioles fans down here. Not happy the Red Sox won. My son is a huge Washington Capitals fan too.

Do you have a recommendation on what speciality restaurant to take children to? Ours will be 5 and 13 when we cruise. Will eat in the MDR most nights but DW and I will eat at one on one night and want to take kids to another on a 2nd night. Great review by the way. We may stay at Hyatt Place with your recommendation.

We have 12729 for our Oasis cruise next year. I believe this is in the rear. How's the noise back there?

Have done this many times with our oldest and will be doing so again next year when our oldest is in 8th and our little guy starts Kindergarten. He is an honor roll student so not worried about it. If he wasn't we might reconsider. The family time is very memorable and besides less crowded in the fall and cheaper.

At the end of this week we will be down to 1 yr exactly. Been a long 5 months since we booked and will be a long year. Can't wait.

Wow great job! It's making me even more pumped for my journey on Dec 9th on the Allure.
Eh, I could do without the OSU fan photo though!!!
My thoughts exactly about the OSU fan, glad you said it first.

Enjoying this great review. We are on this eastern route on her sister ship in about a year.

Thank You, Radio for taking time out of your cruise and taking us along for the ride. It has been fun to follow your travels. Anyone thinking of doing a "live from" in the future, take notes on Radio's cause this is how it should be done. Safe travels home to Baltimore. You are not far from us. We live near York, PA.

Here is the link for the port canaveral webcam if you are awake when the Freedom rolls in early in the morning or if you want to see it depart again at 4:30 tomorrow afternoon.

This is a great review with fantastic photos. We will be on this route in a little over 2 months on the Freedom of the Seas. I am hoping the pier will be done in Labadee. Thanks for taking time out from your vacation to do this.:)

I have not read all the posts but please don't give them any more ideas or they will charge us for something.

anyone know about the jet ski rentals. can you rent 1 for 2 people? how much does it cost?!
Yes, my wife rode on behind me. I believe it was $45 or $50 for 30 or 40 minutes. That was almost 2 years ago though.

I've been to Orient and Divi little bay and enjoyed both of these beaches. I don't think you could go wrong with either. I would do Divi on your own though.

I know they changed the itinerary of the 6 night western (switched Belize and Playa) for some of the upcoming sailings. However, I think when we are sailing in Feb it is still the original itinerary, correct? I need to know when/if they change it because I booked a private excursion in Belize.
Do they send you an email notice if the itinerary changes?
All these posts are making me so excited to sail on the Jewel!
They changed our Belize and PDC a few weeks ago. We did not find out till we got on the ship. We also had a private excursion in Belize (Major Tom cavetubing) and I emailed him when I found out but he already knew about the changes so maybe your excursion would know also.

Kids would like the Turtle Farm and Stingray City on Grand Cayman. My son was 8 at the time and loved both. Did horseback riding on Cozumel when he was 5. He was able to ride with his mom at that age.
