  1. That is Great for you! I seriously contemplate to resubmit the request thru the email channel as well.
  2. Thanks for the pointer. I suspect it will be next week before we receive a confirmation. The wait time seems to vary a lot - some folks received the 2nd email within 3 hours, some folks did not get it until a day later or even longer. Then as you said, you need to access the App again to redeem. Much easier for the customer, to go thru the email channel. It also seems much quicker, because after Redeemed, it still takes 5 days for the OBC to show up while the email channel only took 2 days from sending in request to seeing the OBC in the account.
  3. In fact that is our situation. We have an account that only holds CCL and RCL, 100 shares each, just for the shareholder benefits. It is much easier to do the document submission, no black out needed for other holdings. The account does have just over $1K cash, for occasional pocket money withdrawal purposes when traveling aboard. Since withdrawal via ACH can only be done thru verified linked external banks, there is no risk for loss on the cash balance.
  4. Indeed. I read about that method last night, but did not recall people posted their timeline. Ken the Cruiser used iPad and his screen shots look relatively straight forward so that was what I went by. The App on iPad still has Alinea among a list of options to choose from versus a poster said on the App for Smartphone, the list no longer exists. Oh well, I guess I would need to wait thru the next few days... Or, I can email the proof again to the address that those who used it all got great results. I bet the email channel is processed faster than the App channel.
  5. Forgot to add, the acknowledgement on receipt has these wordings Manual Brokerage Statement Submission Acknowledgement Thank you for submitting your proof of share ownership. Stockperks is reviewing your submission now and will respond within two (2) working days with next steps. Thank you for joining the Stockperks family! I would suggest anyone reading this thread, use the hello@stockperks.com as the first choice. Seems they respond much quicker, versus going thru the App is a 3 steps dance - first they get the proof either via upload or directly access your brokerage account (who in his right mind would allow such is beyond me), then they review it. After approval they send a notification to you. You then become eligible to redeem the perk.. The process takes 2+5 days, the last 5 days seems to be standard time for the OBC to post after redemption. Those who are smart to use the hello@stockperks.com channel, could you kindly post your timeline? It does seems the submissions thru the email channel get to be looked at much faster and the OBC also posted without the standard 5 days wait.
  6. I wish I have read your post a bit earlier. I downloaded the app to iPad, and chose Alinea. It went to single file submission mode and I uploaded the PDF file. There is NO screen to input the sailing information though I put it on the PDF just like what I used to do when using the fax or email method directly to Princess. Now I realize that the sailing input screen would not show up until your submission is approved. Did get an acknowledgement on receipt of submission pending review. Wish I have read the thread this morning before going thru the App. It seems the email method works a lot faster and a lot less hassle!
  7. Do you mean you have not created an account with the Stockperk App? And you can go directly to the upload proof screen? I just found this thread tonight as I am about to prepare for getting the credit for our March 9 cruise. I hate use the Smartphone for other than receiving OTP codes these days seems every company requires even you are using computer to log in. So I plan to use iPad to do this thing following Ken the Cruiser posts.
  8. Do you need to register an account with the App? That is what the other thread is talking, (my reading is up to Page 4 now). Or the app has upload form that you fill in and then just upload the document, such as a PDF statement page that only shows the CCL and RCL holdings, then upload it thru the app?
  9. I don’t use phone to access any of our financial accounts and definitely would not give out access to some 3rd party for the $200 shareholder credit. If only the app I would try to do it on an iPad. I am reading what others were saying in the other thread started when this new procedure came out. There seems no need to let them get their hands on your account, you can upload the same brokerage statement like in the past thru email or fax.
  10. So now you have to download an app to submit your proof? Or the 3rd party has a site where you can go to input your cruise info and then upload the proof? Can someone provide info on the above? Thanks a lot in advance!
  11. Each time I tried to log in it told me my credentials were wrong, Since you only have 3 chances to do so, by the 2nd failure I chose to reset passwords. Then even after Princess site said password successfully reset, the first time I tried to log in with the “new” password, it would still failed. But the second try would go through. It has been like that pretty much on and off since 2022! Thankfully we don’t have the need to access the stupid site unless we have a cruise which we almost always book only 2 to 3 months before sailing. So only need to endure the incompetent Princess IT until we sail. Then it is another 10 months we can absolutely forget about it. LOL
  12. We used the offers, one card is spend $700 for 17.5K membership reward ots and the other card is for $175 statement credit. Both are Blue Business Plus cards. As long as the charges are directly to the merchants, in this case Princess, it does not matter what the charges are, nor using the AMEX link in the offer. We always book through our cruise agent, often split payment into multiple cards to take advantage of various promotions. Always get what the promotion promised. Once you see an AMEX offer that is remotely interesting to you, ADD it to the card ASAP. Because these offers are of finite numbers, once enough cardholders have “taken” them by way of adding to their cards, the offer would disappear from “Available” tab. You will never see it again. Offers on cruise lines are very popular. I saw a HAL $500/$1500 offer this Spring but did not add it immediately. When I returned to my AMEX online the next day, the offer was gone. Bonus points posted within 3 days after making payment to a flash sale we just saw available. Statement took one or two extra days. We have used AMEX offers on cruise bookings many times. I with the higher spend but also higher statement credit offers would make a come back. in 2022 there were a $400 statement credit on $1500 spend on Princess, that we took advantage of. These AMEX offers are different from the standard benefits of the Plat cards. The $300 credit is a Plat card benefit, while the AMEX offers this thread talked about are targeted offers that any type of AMEX cards might get if it is targeted to that card, plus the offers even for the same merchant, can have multiple versions. We once had a $500 statement credit on a $1500 Royal Caribbeans spend, as well as a $350 statement credit on only $1000 Royal Caribbeans spend.
  13. I bolded the key sentences in the above quote - just want to make sure the casino method as we know it before, still working as the $X will charge to your shipboard account, and will be offset by whatever OBC in the shipboard account at that time. As long as you play, you can still cash out at the cage the balance in your casino account by the last day of the cruise the latest. From memory if you do not play shortly after adding fund thru this method, you are not allowed to add more fund. Playing a few times would avoid this restriction. You can always cash out your casino account at any given time at whatever amount you choose up to the balance if the cadino account of course. I just want to make sure this is still the case as the mechanism still the same - because the OP who started this thread claimed they were not allow to cash out their casino account balances.
  14. I need to update my knowledge base on Princess since things change rapidly these days and we haven’t kept up with the Princess system. I try various search keywords / phrases but no relevant results coming back. Hopefully the community collective knowledge here can provide some answers. Is it still able to charge your shipboard account to add fund to your casino account thru the slot machine? That charge would be commingle with other charges in the shipboard account, and go against your existing OBC? Or the casino account and the shipboard account now are completely separate on accounting purpose? Also once the fund is in your casino account, you cannot cash it out if you still have balance in it towards the end of the cruise? Regardless what the make up of the balance?
  15. Please refresh my memory. Do you get OBC for each person when each person has FDC in the account? That is different from the shareholder OBC which is per cabin regardless how many shareholders in the cabin.
  16. Yes I went thru the 2 years validity period and we were not able to use it on a cruise that supposedly departed on Apr 3rd 2020! Had to call to get the deposit refunded because it did not look like we could cruise again even by Mid 2021. We did not bother to purchase a future cruise deposit in the fall of 2022 when we took Regal from Rome back to Ft. Lauderdale in Nov 2022 as the cruise was a big disappointment comparing to the Royal Caribbean Odyssey of the Sea the year prior. In Apr 2023 we took HAL’s Statendam, which turned out being the worst HAL cruise among all HAL cruises we had ever taken. It was much worse than Regal a few months prior to that. Unfortunately Royal seems do not want to deploy their better ships to Europe. On,y Odyssey is the decent ship. As much as we enjoy Odyssey, we don’t want to take her TATL due to the itinerary was almost identical as the Regal last November, we eventually chose Sky, the ship we would have taken in April 2020. So yeah, because we have not bought the FCD on Regal we forego the OBC on this Sky TATL cruise. I do not know you can call to extend the deposit. Otherwise I might do it differently. The OBC amount is less than when it has 4 years validity.
  17. Wow, haven't paid attention to the change made on FCD valid time, and just learn here that it is now shortened to 1 year... It used to be 4 years! My question is, if you cannot use it within the 1 year, is the refund automatically or you have to call to request it? Last time we had to call to get the credit refunded to us, but then it was during the Covid time... The OBC amount also seems to be less than before Covid.
  18. If the price is the same and the elites get the same discount whether purchase ahead or onboard, then why people still buy it ahead of their cruises, especially it seems it is a piece of cake to buy it thru the app once you are onboard?
  19. You are talking about the Medallion that is sent to you prior the sailing? On our Nov 2022 TATA Rome to Ft. Lauderdale we left home almost a month before our sailing for a middle east private tour, then several days in London before heading to Rome. We got our medallions onboard. But I remember I bought the internet package on a web-based Medallion make shift set up to get the discount. At that time you did not get discount automatically when buying it onboard. Apparently now there is no difference whether you buy it precruise or buy it once onboard in order to get your entitled discount. That is all I need to make sure. This time since we are leaving from home directly going on the cruise (TATL from US to UK), I guess we would get our medallions before we get on board.
  20. I found this thread with Cruise Critics search function despite it told me there was no match on my question of elite internet discount... Our last Princess cruise was in 2022. At that time we had to jump thru hoops to use a web based Medallion link to purchase the internet just so we got the entitled 50% discount. Reading this thread, apparently this has changed, probably for a little bit better - that you can purchase the package once you board and still receive the 50% discount upfront? When I checked our brand new booking online, it does not give me any option to just purchase the internet. Is it normal? If we get the 50% discount when purchase on board I dont need to get this done thru some crummy workaround like in the past, correct? Thanks for any updates.
  21. Thanks for the great info. Since the flight is not until late March, I doubt the flight would be included in the trial. Nonetheless this is a good thing to know that LHR is trying to speed up the security clearance. Will definitely check back when it gets closer. Was your ship the day before disembarkation a port day? The Sky Princess would have 2 Sea Days before disembarkation day. Before the 2 Sea Days Sky would be at Lisbon. I am not sure the Immigration folks would get on board to process passport at Lisbon, or on the first Sea Day. We had the immigration processing on a transatlantic several years ago with several ports in the Ireland / Northern Ireland and Scotland but I forgot the sequence. Immigration officers did board the ship to process passports, though I forgot they were from the above country or from UK. I tend to think it wasn't from UK.
  22. Finally thank y'all for the valuable inputs. I tried to do multi-quote to reply but the reply box does not seem to be able to do it. It would only quote the last post in the multi-quote. Anyway, thanks a lot everyone!
  23. National Express gives a 1 hour 45 min ride time between Southampton coach station to T5. There seems no allowance for traffic issues.
  24. Wow! For an international flight at 11:50am departure and you made it! That was a miracle considering the need to find the gate, going thru security etc.
  25. We will do walk off too. Need to take a taxi to the National Express coach station. It is not far from my memory. Taxi fare at that time was less than 15 GBP, so must be a short drive. The coach departure that I aim at is 09:45. Though upon further consideration, I think we might need to allow some traffic jam time even though National Express ride duration is 1 hour 45 min in normal traffic. We might need to make some allowance on this.
