  1. Hello Everyone ,

I'll be boarding the Seaside on a cruise next Summer (I Just got off it 6 weeks ago and enjoyed it )

I used the Status Match Program before my last Seaside cruise 6 weeks ago and MSC gave me 8600 points and a Gold Card Level. After completing my last Seaside cruise, My points increased to 9600. My question is this ? Does MSC upgrade you to the Black Card before boarding the ship on my next cruise , like other cruise lines do (Carnival For Example) if your going to cross that 10,000 Black Card line during my next cruise anyway ? So you can enjoy the benefits a few days earlier ?

Just wondering how they do it ?

Thanks for your time. Have a great night.

  2. Did you just book this cruise? I ask because we booked for ourselves a cruise on Seaside only 9 weeks in advance (due to sail 6/09) and also booked a Bella OV. It was a guaranty (GTY) cabin at this close sailing, which we were fine with and does include the basic drinks on us pkg. Well, it only took three days to be assigned a deck 14 mid ship balcony in their fantastica section. Our documents though clearly state we signed on as OV Bella, so we are fully aware that our upgraded assignment is a wonderful bonus to us, but we do not get any of the fantastica experience bonuses.

As far as your room goes, there aren't a lot of pics yet but try YouTube or cruise deck plans. I have great luck getting an idea from those two resources. Happy sailing!

I just realized I did my math wrong lol..Because WE ARE ALSO on the June 9th sailing lol..Glad that's NOT 7 WEEKS...Only 5 sounds better lol. We paid for the upgrade of both the cabin and experience.

Hopefully meet you guys on the cruise critic meet and greet party.

  3. Hello Everyone,

We leave in the Seaside 7 weeks FROM TODAY :D:D!!

We just upgraded to a Fantastica Balcony #10045 ! We were in an OV Bella..

Any information or pictures about this cabin or the Fantastica upgrade, Would be appreciated. This is our First MSC Cruise..Thank You in advance for any information you may be able to offer. Have a Great DAY !!

  4. Hello All !

I have a quick question for you great Celebrity People !

I have wanted to do a Celebrity Cruise for several years. But being Platinum on Carnival and getting Casino Comps From NCL. The Celebrity Cruise Never Happened Yet..Now, I have a chance to do a 7 Day Eastern this summer ON the Equinox..And My Wife Got The Same Great Price and Room Category on MSC SEASIDE ? Which is a BRAND NEW Ship...The question is simple ?

Go on the 10 Year old Equinox or The Brand New MSC SEASIDE ?

I realize being on the Celebrity Section of CC maybe not be balanced. But I also respect that most of you are mature enough to have an open mind ? Considering I have no Past Guest perks from either line ? Which would you pick ? Both have the same dates and are 7 Night Eastern Cruises ?

Thanks For Your Time. Have a great night !

    Kurt

  5. Hi All,

DW and I, Have decided to step out of our "Comfort Zones" at Carnival Cruise line and Norwegian Cruise Line and Try the "MSC SEASIDE" this coming summer!

Any tips, Suggestions on what to expect on our 1st MSC cruise, Would be appreciated.

It's my understanding that some sections of the ship are closed off to certain levels of cruisers ( I will assume, I'M ONE OF THOSE LOWER LEVEL CRUISERS LOL?- As I got a VERY GOOD Rate for this cruise) We are excited to try something new. Thanks for your time with any tips or suggestions to make the transition from Carnival to MSC a smooth one :)!

From the reviews I've read..The Food seems to be a concern..Not sure if it's really not that great? Or just not what Americans are used to ? Thanks Again For Your Time..

    Kurt

  6. Just asking your opinion here ?

I've been on the Dream twice out of New Orleans.

I am considering a cruise on the Magic ? Never been on it. But it would be at a bit more of a expense to me, Then doing another Dream cruise due to pre and post travel costs.

The Question: Other then the obviously different ports ? Any Pros or Cons To The Magic over The Dream ?

    Thanks For Your Time !

    Have a Great Night 🚢!

  7. Hi Fellow Critics,

    Quick Question..

I've done a few "Pack and Play" Casino Offers in the past. I always felt those were a great value for the money. We are doing our First Premier Casino Cruise, This New Years Eve on the Dream..Anything Good to know about these promotional cruises ? I know they give a few hundred back as casino cash back . Anything else as far as perks or suprises go ? Thanks For your time. 73 days till Happy New Years 🎉🎊🎆🎇🎉😀🍺!

  8. Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has any CURRENT information on what it takes to be a Carnival Personal Vacation Planner these days ?

Do you have too work in an office, such as in Miami ? Or can you work from the internet at home ? I'm really just thinking Part- Time for now or in the future and wondered if any of you great people can guide me in the right direction ? I'm sure I can call Carnival directly. But cruise critic has always been a great source of reliable information for all things cruise related. Thanks For Your Time in Advance:D!

  9. We really enjoy Carnival. I miss the midnight buffet. But understand that it was a loosing deal for them by the time they dumpt it. The 2.0 changes have been nice. We still like the relaxed atmosphere Carnival offers..The Ships may not be as big and fancy as some competition..But at the end of the day, Carnival Corp (Which Owns 6/7 other cruise lines) Is still Far bigger in both sizes and profits then any other..And I think that's how they can make the cruise experience more affordable for so many of us. We show alot of loyalty to them for that (And the fun drinks :D).

  10. I was Just wondering if anyone else is still getting the affordable"Pack and Play" Promotions, Where cruises range from $25 PER CRUISE and up for people who spend WAY to much time in the Casino like me lol:eek::D?

I was on the Breeze last July and put 7600 points on my players card. Which had them offer me a Bounce Back Cruise. I wasn't able to book that Bounce Back due to schedule conflicts. But now I'm getting the Premier Casino Cruise Offers Only. Which are limiting on dates...So I've been holding out hoping the "Pack and Play" will come back...But I'm going through cruise withdrawal not having something booked lol? Any info would be great ! Thanks in advance and happy cruising all.
