  1. I always get more than 6500 slot points on my CCL cruises. Players Club rep told me (again, as I wrote earlier) the offers are totally random. Yes, I always get a bounce-back offer, and yes, I get Premier offers - but this time was passed over for pack and play. Sucks!!

    Wow:eek: !

    That DOES SUCK..

Better luck soon (No pun intended)

  2. The casino host was WRONG. The pack and play offers are NOT based on your casino play and points. I've never received an offer and would definitely be getting the pack and play offers if they were based on your points/play.

Having worked in the Casino Industry for over 11 years in my youth, I can tell you that if all your play is being done on table games. You won't EVER get an accurate rating of your actual play..I know ! I used to rate table players as a Pit Boss/Table Games Supervisor ! Slot players have ALWAYS been better taken care of over table games. If your a slot player and average several thousand points a cruise (5000+). I would call and inquire WHY, Your not receiving these offers..At that point, You Should..Good Luck !

  3. I booked a Pack and Play Deal Yesterday again myself:D!

They really are a great deal, Even at a slightly higher charge per cabin type !

I spoke to a Casino Host on a few different recent cruises. It's THEIR Opinion, That the pack and play offers are VERY MUCH based on your Casino Points/Play..In case anyone here is telling you otherwise. This will be my 4th pack and play cruise. I did also receive 1 bounce back offer. But didn't book it in the 2 week window, You have to book. 1 month later, The Pack and Play offer was back. We love them !

  4. Anyone have any updated information on these vouchers ? I've searched past posts from 2012-13. Nothing Recent Through.. I've Gotten 2 offers in the past 2 months, But it says I have to stay at Harrahs 2 Nights comped prior to being able to get the certificate ? Does anyone have an unused voucher they can post so I can see the fine print before investing the extra time to travel overnight for 2 nights to get it ? Any other info on this subject would be great ! Thanks and have a great day.:D

  5. Hi Guys,

Just wondering some cheap cash options for Transportation from Ft. Lauderdale to a Miami Beach Hotel, Followed by transport from that Hotel to the Port of Miami the Following Day ? And then, Transport From Port of Miami back to Ft. Lauderdale International ? I've always taken Cabs, But wondering what better options may be out there ?

Any Names and #'s would be great !

    Thanks For Your Time. :)

  6. i think i could pull it off if i leave my husband at home and me and my son get a promenade room! nevermind the fact that i've only cruised in corner afts, i'm sure i'll adjust fine! well i'm definitely going to keep my spring break options open and watch those prices!!! my husband doesn't share my appreciation of cruising anyway - he's just my plus one :D

Well Kim, The price of the Oceanviews have went up in the past two weeks to the same price as a E-2 Balcony now .. So, If you should really be considering this for spring Break you may want to think at least about the deposit to lock in your Promenade room rate.. Last I checked they were $1017.00pp...

  7. Kim, This is the guy who i said his "FREIND" was going too and I might have upset her! Dont you remember? Now, things are ok. I think everyone wants to PARTY In our 1400! Kurt is right below us, on 9! In the room I told you to get! See you could have had it, but NO, you waited and Kurt took it again! See what a fun time we will be having?? See you need to be going too! I will let you come over to our party hut!

The Corner AFT 9404 is still open for two people..:)

  8. Shanna, it's me! Kim B! I loved 1400 you goof.

Hi Kimmy Dear..:D How is the old "Strike and Spare" been treating you ? Jail is just jail.. No different with that Dude and he is not NEAR as cocky when the News Cameras are off.. Why not cancel the November Trip and come with us ? We have a $6.00 Bid on a Naked "Twister" game on E-bay and we might just win it at this point ;)!! So you know Shanna ? She seems VERY................ Nice.... Yes, That was the word I was Hunting for..:D I checked Yesterday and cabin #1404 is open for 3 people Kim.. Just have your Hubby and ????? I don't know, Your Mother in law come along and you have got it :D!! Let us know :-) ? Take care young lady.. Kurt

  9. Well if you are bringing twister, I think all the kids will be at adventure ocean till mignight, then we can get them for nap time! LOL! You are too funny!

:D Well it's Bed time for this tired old mule..:) Thanks again Bonnie.. Shanna since you beat me to that 1400, Just let me know when I can drop the little tike off ok..:D Have a great day all... Kurt

  10. When I posted that answer, I didn't realize that Jailerman's cabin doesn't have the pullman, only the two twin beds. :( So, you will notice that I went back and changed my answer! But, since I now realize that YOU are on the same cruise and have that HUGE cabin, I think it is only fair that you let Mr. Jailerman's son come sleep on a rollaway in YOUR cabin, so Mr. Jailerman can have his BIG bed to himself! ;)

See Mr. Jailerman? I solved your problem! :D

I just knew that the Queen of AFTS would come through in the end..:D Thanks Bonnie.. Shanna ? What time after Adventure ocean should I drop him off ? Midnight ? 1:00am ? :D You tell me ? :D

  11. Hello Again Bonnie:), Well ever since that Thread started "Freedom Class AFT Balconies" running a day or two ago with the BEST AFT PHOTOS of the Freedom that I have EVER SEEN, I could not help myself but to re-claim that 9406 AFT Balcony Cabin.. I have even added it to my signature so I must mean it this time :D.. #9404 is also still open but the Balcony looks smaller and cramped. I really wished that this cabin had a sleeper sofa though as it will be myself and my son and I'm a pretty big guy whom has always booked older ships and booked Suites so I had a full size bed and he could have the full size sleeper.. But RCI is having a capasity control order for this cruise with spring break going on and wont give me a cabin with just two of us with a sleeper bed in it :D.. I know that 1404, A D-1 is still open but not bookable with only 3 people... I wonder if their is room or if they even would place a roll away in that 9406 if I took care of the cabin steward ($$) right from the start ? HUMMMMMM ???:D

"With only 2 people" as far as capasity. that last section was supose to say.. whops..:)

  12. First, let me say that the steel structure is really a non-issue in 9406 since that balcony is situated well within that steel structure and there are NO beams impeding your view out from the balcony of 9406. but, with that said, I will note that, other than the larger balcony and AWESOME view of the wake, your son will gain nothing from being in that aft cabin. He will, however, LOVE the ease of running up and down the stairs from your hump cabin to get to the Royal Promenade to grab a slice of pizza or a cookie and then run back to your cabin....or....to run UP the stairs to play a quick game in the arcade or take a dip in the pool. I think under your circumstances, you are very well positioned! Enjoy yourselves! It's nice to hear from you again!

Thanks Bonnie..:) It's nice to hear from you too.. I hope all is well..:)

  14. Kikkycat, maybe I'll see you there!

Hi Bonnie:), Long time, No speak..:D I have a quick question that I am sure I will know your answer to but here goes :D.. I have a Deck 7 VERY MID HUMP Cabin right now on the liberty.. AFT CABIN #9406 is open at the moment. I did see some photos of the sister cabin and while that Balcony looks nice and Big. I think I would really be turned off by the Steel structures.. I had my first AFT just 3 months ago on NCL and REALLY Liked it. But their was no Obstructions and you could look straight down at the water and not a deck below ? I just see in my mind the constant compairing ? I also have at the moment one of the most sought after locations right now being right next to the elevator banks ? SOOOOOOO :D My hope is that you will tell me since I am with my 9 year old that my central location is best.. I know it's a long shot but that is MY HOPE ;):D.. So.. What do you think ?

  15. Hi Guy's..:) Hey Curt, I have a cute story that I thought you would enjoy..:) You know what a Cheerleader I have become of the Fantasy Class Cat 12's on the main Carnival Boards right :D ? Well the Cat 11 prices dropped soooo much for my up-coming Imagination cruise that since it's just my son (He's 9) and myself I could not justify NOT switching from the Cat 12 to the 11..:D So now I have V-30. How is the location ? I know it's close to the Rescue boat but the view should still be good looking straight out and forward right ? This Cabin is in the same location as V-21 which I believe I read that you have stayed in before right ? Any tips young man other then to be ready to turn the Balcony Chair sideways as I'm a Big guy ? Nice talking to you again and take care.. Kurt

CJW... Are ya working overtime son ? That's not like you to leave a Fantasy Class question unanswered.. I hope all is well with you..:)

  17. We returned yesterday from our cruise and we all agreed that the Newport Beachside Resort was perfect for our needs. I was nervous about it when we first got there because that night they had "South Florida's own blues legend, Joey Gilmore & Friends" playing in their Kitchen 305. It was REALLY loud and apparently annoyed the birds in the lobby because they were chirping like crazy. Between the band, the birds, and the people talking in the lobby it had a crazy, hectic feel. But the other nights we were there were much calmer. The room had an entryway with a sink in it, then the bathroom and the frontroom area. The frontroom had a bed that folds up against the wall behind the love seat so there was actually sleeping room for even more people. One bedroom had a regular door and the other had the pocket door. From the pictures I looked at on Tripadvisor the room with the pocket door looked to me to be open on one side, but what appeared to be open was actually mirrors. The frontroom and each bedroom had their own TV. We couldn't hear each other's TVs when we went to bed. One closet had a safe in it and an ironing board and iron. There was a microwave, fridge, and some dishes. They had a coffeepot along with coffee and fixings. In the frontroom area was the counter with the coffeepot. It was kinda a half-moon shaped breakfast bar with stools. The decor of the room was maybe outdated - pretty bright colors and huge patterns. There were stains on the bathroom ceiling from a previous leak problem, but we felt the room was clean. They had self-serve laundry. Our view was OK, but my husband said next time he would prefer to pay a few dollars more and have the ocean or pool view with the decks. Ours had windows, not decks. There is a little strip mall across the street that had probably four restaurants and a CVS. We didn't even go on the other side of the CVS but from our window we could see there were many more stores over there. The pool area and beach area were nice. One morning a lot of jelly fish washed up on shore. Having read here about that area having a lot of them I was a little nervous to go in the water. They did have a sign up that day warning people of them.

We booked through the Newport the boat tour that starts at Bayside and goes around all the millionnaire houses. The tour includes transportation to and from Bayside. We all enjoyed that. We took public transportation down to South Beach and spent most of Saturday there. The transportation webside said to get on the bus at a stop that was directly across the street from Bayside and down that road just a sort way. But we walked south a little bit instead and got on it there and that was good because if we had got on at the stop recommended by the website we would have taken a long loop out of our way. We used SAS transport from the airport and to the port. We were very happy with them. In both cases the driver called us at least twice to let us know his status. He was at the airport before us, but waiting outside someplace, because he had been checking the airline and our flight was running a little early.

We didn't stick around during the day at all, so didn't participate in any of Newport's daytime activities. I did bring home the activities sheet though so if anybody is interested in what they do during the day I can scan it and post it. It doesn't show anything on Sunday but they were doing stuff that morning before we left for the day.

I took a bunch of pictures of the room to share, but right now I don't have my card reader. I need to get it back from the person who has it and then I'll figure out how to post them.

Would I stay there again? Most likely we would. I liked being right on the beach, I liked that stores and restaurants were within very easy walking distance, and the place felt clean and safe to me. The only downside is the distance into downtown Miami or South Beach or Fort Lauderdale. So if you want to be near the main town action you are a ways from it, but do-able on public transportation and it would have been no problem at all if we had a rental car, but we didn't rent one until after our cruise.

Thanks for the great review and the time to write it.. Welcome home..:)

  18. We fly out tomorrow morning - I'm so excited! We are staying at Newport for three nights, then doing a four night cruise, then staying one more night in Miami (TownePlace Suite Doral). So I'll be back home late January 31 and will get on the computer probably the next day. I will remember to post back to this thread what I thought.

Great and Thanks ! Have fun !! :D

  19. I'll be at the Newport Beachside Resort one week from today. Yay! Have never stayed there before so unfortunately at this time I can't offer any opinion. Sorry. I just wanted to comment because I'm excited to see a comment on the place we're staying. We'll be in a 2-bedroom city-view.

I'll be waiting to hear back from you on this Hotel PLEASE !:D

  20. Stayed at the Newport in an Oceanfront about 3 years ago. We were a bit disappointed by the room (just looked a bit tired) but the view made up for it. The pool area was great for our kids and overall we enjoyed it and had a good stay.

Great to hear.. I just pre-paid for a 2 night stay @ Newport for 30% off for this June, 2009. I also have an Oceanfront view.. Thanks once more..

Very Nice !! :D Let me know how it is when you get back please. Some co-workers of mine have that same two bedroom city Suite you have so they would also be interested.. Have fun !! :D

  22. Newport Beachside Resort.

I don't care for Mid Beach which is where the Deauville is located.

Thank You Sir.. I just Pre-Paid for a great rate on the Newport so I am now LOCKED IN ! :D It's a One Bedroom Oceanfront Suite with Balcony. I hope it will be a nice pre-cruise stay as I will have to get to the Port of Miami two days later.. Thanks once more..
