  1. To piggyback off this (hope the OP doesn’t mind). I am new to Royal but not to cruising. I have MTD and am also traveling solo and prefer a table for one, Ive read I should make reservations if I don’t want to eat very late or will be forced to stand in line with everyone else wanting to eat around 7pm. Can I make a standing reservation for say, 7pm every night by talking with the maitre d on embarkation day? Or is everything done via the app? Thank you in advance.
  2. We will also be on the Seashore and I believe this is where it docks (if current reviews and videos are any indication)…please don’t quote me 😎
  3. How do you request your preferences? Once onboard or do you by any chance have a copy of this limited menu? 😎. It’s been a couple of years since our first YC sailing and I’m trying to reacquaint myself with the process.
  4. Just disembarked Solstice on the 20th. I didn’t get numbers but the ship felt pretty full. I would say most guests were mask less, but I saw some wearing them at their own discretion. My husband and I didn’t seek out crowds, but we didn’t necessarily avoid them either….we haven’t tested, but are showing no symptoms either. If you can swing a good deal, I would go for it. Hope that helps.
  5. Annabelle’s and Cape Fox Lodge are great suggestions…I will add the Alaska Fish house. Delicious fish & chips, chowder, etc. Very casual, but was just there last week and can vouch for the yumminess 👏
  6. Fabby, you may want to look into Virgin Voyages. They have a very different product than Celebrity (and I will admit, I haven’t cruised them yet) but they are marketing to adults only and seem to be very wellness and fitness focused as well as having a more robust vegan/vegetarian dining program. I will say that a cruise on any line is what you make of it (meaning if you focus on wellness it can be achieved just as easily as overindulgence). Hope you enjoy your birthday no matter where you celebrate it 🥂
  7. Fly and Sail….I board the Solstice tomorrow and you are clearly not having the best cruise….My husband and I will be celebrating our 30th anniversary, is there anything you enjoyed this week that we can look forward to?
  8. Thank you for the updates….can’t say I’m happy to hear about cold food in Blu…how is the entertainment? Live music? Shows in the theater? Are the drinks at least good? 😜
  9. Check your invoice. It should be there (although masked as abbreviations). Look for things like BEVPRINGRAT7. Or AINC ALWAYS INC. I wouldn’t worry, it should be there, but I also always bring a copy of my invoice in case I need to show someone “my receipts”. 😎. Hope this helps.
  10. As an avid solo cruiser the best advice I can give you is to keep that dining package and enjoy yourself. Dining alone can seem “weird” at first, but trust me, no one cares (they are on vacation eating their meal, not judging you). If you aren’t one to people watch, do what I do and bring your phone and earbuds…I personally listen to podcasts or audiobooks while I eat and in this day and age scrolling your phone while at a table is certainly not unusual. I think you will find that solo cruising is liberating and highly addictive 😎. Bon Voyage 🥂
  11. Please come back and keep us informed….we are embarking next week and would love updates on how the Solstice’s crew is fairing and how she looks overall….first cruises back from service can be spotty so I hope all is well.
