  1. QUOTE=matj2000;51511511]It is probably almost exactly the same.

Considering it was just moved 3 days ago.

I doubt they have changed menus and got new beds just because they changed home port....

    Love this!

Well, EXCUSE ME for just asking..... you never know what may change. Sorry I have a job, and can't live on here to constantly read every little thing. You know, you don't HAVE to comment if you have nothing to contribute.

  2. I'm REALLY tempted to switch to a Carnival Vista sailing out of Miami. Its 8 days for similar price. Grand turk, Dominican, Bonaire, and Aruba. Thanks for the info everyone! I've just always been loyal to Royal so its a tough call!

If you want to go to Grand Turk, then just go to Grand Turk! It is beautiful!

  3. Hoping someone posts a review of Oasis about her new home port and the Eastern Caribbean routes (ST, SM, Nassau). Menus, beds, all the usual things people are complaining about, has anything changed or improved? Thanks to anyone that does! :)

  4. Hello! My husband and I are cruising this weekend (EEE!!!) and I'm finalizing my packing list and will be running out for last minute things this week some time. What are your favorite packing tips and tricks that you wouldn't sail without? This is our 2nd cruise and the two tips we took on last year's cruise was packing an over-the-door shoe holder for the back of the bathroom door to hold all of our toiletries and whatnot and then packing some clothesline and clothes pins to string up on the balcony to dry swimsuits.

We do plan to TRY packing more light this time and taking advantage of the laundry service mid-cruise. We enjoyed the discount day they did last year and thought we could have packed much less if we'd known/planned for that.

We also grossly underestimated the amount of sunscreen in those little travel sized sunscreen bottles and had to purchase more from the ship's store. ($$) So we'll be bringing more sunscreen this time around (and bug spray!).

I'd love to hear your tips/tricks for packing! Thanks so much! :)

Regarding the bug spray, one person suggested using the wipes! I didn't know they had bug spray wipes! So I already picked up some of those for when we go in December.

  5. We are taking the Oasis out of PC on December 23rd - can't wait!!

So any information about Port Canaveral is welcome. We are flying into Orlando on December 22nd, renting a car, and staying the night near the airport. Then we'll drive to the port on the 23rd.

    Our rental is through Avis.

I'm guessing they are turning in the car to Avis in Port Canaveral? Not parking it there for a week. We are doing the same thing with Avis. Flying to MCO Sat afternoon, pick up a car and we are staying in Melbourne for the night on the beach. It is about 25 mins south of PC. We will drop off the car at AVis in the AM and catch their shuttle to the port. It turned out cheaper to rent the car than to use a shuttle service and we have freedom to drive around.

  6. As most here have stated, I just don't get all the complaints. Nothing is ever perfect. I like what the one person said, Bad day on a cruise is better than a Good day at work (well, I guess unless you are retired, which it appears most of the people on here apparently on, going on 15 cruises a year!) LOL

Just sit back and enjoy the ride!
