Any updated on Fantasy? Thinking of sailing on her for the 1st time next month. Trying to decide between her NCL Sky and RCCL Enchantment. I'll have 3 kids in tow, 16, 13 and 8!
I am looking to take my daughter on the Fantasy in June for her graduation. I just came of Sky today. Because it is all Inclusive drinks, I personally would not take my kids on this ship. There was a lot of drunk people and a lot of body parts exposed, making out on pool deck etc etc.
I have sailed Enchantment twice with my kids and they really like it but there are no bells and whistles, no water slides etc.
Carnival might be your best bet.

Curious - Why not just book it now? sounds like you know what you want to do, so click the check box, pay, and dont bother waiting in line? (This really is a question. I am wondering if there is a reason you are holding off)
My boyfriend doesn't know about the cruise so once I tell him tomorrow it will be too late to book online. I wanted to give him the choice of excursion. I've been to Nassau too many times to count.

I have only sailed 7 nights on NCL on both Epic and Getaway and prebooked everything. This is a last minute trip on SKY leaving Friday.
Since it is a surprise for my boyfriend I do not want to prebook anything other than specialty dining prior to cruising.
Am I able to book the Blue Lagoon Beach trip once I board? I am thinking it is off season so it should be ok?
-
I might be wrong but I think there was only one outlet in our balcony room. There was not even one in the bathroom for my hair appliances

Taking Sky for the first time on a last minute booking this weekend. What was so bad about MDR food?
-
My first time on a 3 night on NCL and not finding a lot of info on dining. Just booked this cruise yesterday and leaving Friday.
Which MDR Crossings or Palace and does anyone have MDR menus?
Thanks in advance. I am an ultimate planner and this impromptu trip is stressing me out!

The dailies are posted in its entirety here on another thread. The official sailaway is at Spice H20 Deck 16. I personally like doing a quieter sailaway at Mojito Bar on the Waterfront!

Will an old sign and sail card also work to keep the electric on?
Yes I used my Ikea family card the whole week and it was perfect.

Thinking of taking 11 y.o. niece on the Epic next October. Can she stay on board in port in kids club?
She's a demon for computer games, if we don't link her card to one of our credit cards would she still be able to go on arcade games? We are concerned she would run up $100 's on her card playing the games (she has no concept of money)?
Thanks
I can tell you that my son was 11 when we went on Epic and he did run up almost $150 in less than an hour. I would never link a card to the arcade there. It is a major rip off. I also would never leave my kid on board while in port as that is where they are exposed to new cultures and new places.

Good morning everyone! So sorry it has taken me so long to post these. I could not upload here, so I have posted on my webpage.
http://www.escentialssoycandles.net/ncldailies.html
These are a little fuzzy but print really well. If you want them in a clearer format, please send me a message through the FB or email buttons on my website.
Hope these help everyone out!

I am so sorry it has taken me this long to post them. I got back and was sick for 10 days then had to prep for our blended family Christmas with 6 kids.
The board will not let me post them in the pdfs as I have them scanned in. So trying to upload to a page. Hopefully this works.

I am gluten free as well and hoping you know the answers to my questions.
What are my chances of getting uncontaminated french fries? Something so simple yet almost impossible to get.
Safe tortilla chips?
Dessert options besides ice cream, fruit and creme brulee?
Thanks in advance!
The staff there is very accomodating. I had fries, gluten free waffles and tortilla chips w spinach dip. I had no reactions to anything I had. Dessert options limited.....but I was always too full to worry about it!

Thank you OP.. I switched my Getaway aft cabin to 8138 and saved $420! I can put that towards my 14 nighter on Breakaway I want to take in January 2018. Balcony size is important for us, it's where we spend 90% of our on board time.
Awesome, you are going to love the location and the size of the balcony!

Is who I always use for Stingray City.
I also found this Stingray City/Rum Point Tour.
http://www.redsailcayman.com/stingray-city-sandbar-rum-point-tour/details
FYI the Sandbar was closed this last week, so it may not be open when you sail.

I think it is about 90 minutes if I recall correctly from this last week.
If you have little ones I would book the earlier show as there were kids falling asleep at the 8:45 pm showing.
I also did not eat the food there because I am an early eater and had an early 5:30 pm dinner at Tropicana.....just something to keep in mind. Main courses came out around 9:15

Have you read the terms and conditions?
https://www.ncl.com/termsandconditions/wavenov15?hide_hf=true
Teach a man to fish...I was only asking a question as I am currently booked with Specialty Dining and Ultimate Beverage but after sailing Getaway last week, thought it might be smarter to change to Shore & Bev. I did not look at the terms before asking since I already booked with the two other perks, but thank you. I will stick with the Specialty Dining because booking 8 people on NCL excursions is not worth it with $100 credits per port.
-
We tendered into Grand Cayman this week on Getaway with no problems but we got off as soon as we were able to. If you book an excursion through NCL they hold you in the theatre and take you straight to your tender boat. We did not have any lines coming back to the ship but we went back after our excursion.
You can also go to the box office on embarkation day and get tendering tickets for a specific window.
I get seasick easily but found these great patches on Amazon which worked amazingly well.

bumping in hopes of seeing dailies soon :)
Would love a link to share with our Roll Call
I am patiently waiting also. I have been reading the reviews hoping for dailies.I came home with a double ear and sinus infection so I have been late in posting everything. Scanning them all in tomorrow morning!

Please report back the menu at O'sheenans. It's been reported that the new menu wasn't going to roll out until January then there were reports that the new menus would be rolled out "early" on the away ships. Let us know! Pot pie or not, lol!

Any copies of the dailies would be highly appreciated [emoji4]Just off Getaway and there was Prime Rib on 2 nights at O'Sheehans and 1 time in the Main Dining Room. (I personally thought it was awful, but I did not like anything i ate at O'Sheehans - the rest of the food elsewhere on the ship was above par)
The menu at O'Sheehans was still the old one and when I asked the Maitre'D she said not until January for the new menus.
I am scanning in the dailies tomorrow!

The mini suites on Deck 8 have huge balconies, even more so that the aft ones. Deck 9 are a little smaller and the rest of the balconies on the ships are tiny. If you can't do a mini on Deck 8-9 or grab the BD 8738 or 8138 - I would not pick a balcony room.
We spent only about an hour total on our balcony since the Western Itinerary is port intensive and I liked being on the Waterfront.
We stayed in 8738 and pic is below. Balcony is huge, even though it is a BD and labeled wrong on deck plans. I booked 8710 for my next cruise on the Getaway.
-
I just sailed the current Western itinerary:
GSC/Bahamas, Grand Cayman and Jamaica are all on Eastern Time
Cozumel is 1 hr difference.
-
Sorry if I missed whether you had a beverage pkg or not.
Yes I did have the beverage package. Had I not taken that, I would have done Specialty Dining and paid for my drinks on my own. Drinks are not as pricey as they are on Royal. If the perk were not offered, it would not deter me from drinking my 3-4 drinks a day.
-
8738 on my deck plans is not slanted. I guess a picture is worth more than the plans.
Glad you had a great time. I am on the Getaway next year and loved the Breakaway last year.
A previous poster said that NCL did not help at all with her gluten free diet and I was worried about my diabetic diet. So happy to hear they worked with you. It will be my first cruise since being diagnosed
The deck plans are mislabeled for the cabin on 8738 and its mirror on the port side.
Attached are the forms that need to be filled out for special needs. They handled everything well. I also had injectables I needed to take on and they never gave me an issue.
There were many desserts with no sugar added and lots of option, do not worry!
-
What category was your room. The balcony looks huge. We will be in an angled balcony in May, will it be that large?
Only the balconies on Deck 8 are that big. 8739 is a BD Balcony and mislabeled on the deck plans as far as angled.
Which cabin are you in? Angled on all decks are a good size, but not like hte Mini Suites on 8 or 9.

I am also on this sailing - we do have a roll call going. I am sailing with my daughter for her HS Grad. Her friend who was joining us has now fallen ill so it's just her. Either of you have teenagers?
