Can anyone tell me if the electrical outlets on the Mariner night stands (Deluxe Veranda) are US?  My husband will be traveling with his CPAP.

    Thank you

If you let Regent know about the CPAP, they will provide distilled water for it.

  2. I realize "much of deck 11" isn't the same thing as "all of deck 11", but we're in 1105. We've  been in our stateroom much of the morning due to the schedule delays beyond Regent's control, but we've had no toilet issues. Perhaps we're just plumb lucky today.

That said, I do agree with @CJANDH. This ship is definitely overdue for an overhaul.

  3. Finally remembered to ask for someone to look into our shower problem. One of the engineers arrived, pulled a serious collective hairball out of the drain, and all is well. I did hold my breath for a moment when he flushed that glop down the toilet, but I figured he knew what he was doing. No repercussions so far as I'm aware.

  4. Just one more Mariner cruiser reporting no toilet issues since we boarded Tuesday evening. Though the shower drains a bit more slowly than either of us are comfortable with, no water has escaped the shower stall yet. If my memory wasn't so bad I'd remember to mention it to one of the staff.

Currently bounding across the bounding main north of the Dominican Republic. We brought plenty of USB chargers, a power strip, and a Europe-to-North American plug adapter. Other than having cables strewn all about the suite, we're enjoying everything in spite of the somewhat rough seas we've had since departure.

  5. We are on this year's holiday Amazon cruise as well. Our Primary Care Physician urged us to get the YF vaccinations along with Hepatitis A and a tetanus booster for me. In addition, he ordered oral prescriptions for malaria and typhoid for the two of us and an anti-diarrheal. And we're both in our mid-70's.

I felt a bit like a voodoo doll after we went in a week ago, but neither of us has had any side effects from all the jabbing.

Our YF vaccinations were US$300 each, the HepA's were $150 and my tetanus (TDAP) was $99, but we're very fortunate to have an excellent drug supplement program that told us to submit the invoices for reimbursement, which we've done.

  6. There seems to be an issue in the FAQ section. When I look at the link under the "Onboard Internet page", it shows https://www.rssc.com/experience/onboard-activities/internet-packages/. But clicking that link, or trying it by pasting it into the address bar, redirects to https://www.rssc.com/experience. To quote U2, "I still haven't found what I'm looking for". Perhaps this is something Mr. Moore can look into.

  7. I think the best web site is geocaching.com. Try it and see. You do not even have to be a paid member to use it. However, the $10 a year is well worth it to me!

Actually, a premium membership at geocaching.com is (US) $10 for three months, and $30 a year. But for anyone who does decide to get at all serious about it, you'll find it's difficult to get very far for very long without the premium membership features.
