We haven't done a TA or TP yet.  I look at them sometimes, but have been a bit concerned about too many sea days for our travel habits.  I see a 14-day April 6 one on Marina this year that might have suited us.  One block of 4 sea days from Bermuda to the Azores, but otherwise a good mix.  I'll have to keep a bit closer eye on Oceania offerings for this.

We booked this cruise about 2 years ago. This will be our first TA cruise and 3rd cruise on Oceania. We like this itinerary because of interesting ports.  We will spend 2 more weeks at the end of a cruise visit Spain and Portugal.

Hmm...after clicking on "Manage This Booking" and "View Credits", ours appears as "Complimentary Shipboard Credit" and each of our accounts reflects 1/2 of the shareholder benefit.

On my invoice it shown as gift order (this are not from my travel agent, it was add after my travel agent contact Oceania when I inquired about my shareholder benefits)  and show as $50 per passenger however it not list it on my online account.

I submitted my  complete for via email on the 18th for out upcoming October cruise.  I received an automatic reply from Oceania the same day.  I receive an updated invoice with the onboard credit on Monday, the 22nd.

I got updated invoice from my travel agent show $100 as gift order but it didn’t show up as OBC on my account when I login.   Does your $100 share holder OBC show on your account?

For someone who received this $100 OBC, when it show on your account?

Miami to barcelona..... 4 straight sea days has me a bit concerned....anyone with  repositioning cruise experience?  we like to read but 4 days of reading.....not sure. are there any planned activities...(not just spa treatments) during the day?

We booked this cruise last year. It will be our first Transatlantic cruise.  if I will have that many sea days I would love it to be on Oceania.

We are currently on the Marina. The Covid policy as we know it (first hand, tested positive) is if you test positive on your PCR test you are quarantined in your stateroom for 6 days. Then you must have 2 consecutive negative antigen test performed by the medical personnel to be released from your room. If the antigen test continues to come up positive, medical will continue to test you every day until you are 10 days since you originally tested positive. After that 10th day, they will release you from your room regardless of your test result. If your spouse or traveling companion, tests negative they would be isolated to the stateroom for 5 days plus 2 consecutive negative antigen tests go be released as well. My husband tested positive, 3 days after me so that delays the process of us getting to return to “normal life”.

In reality, you can end up in your stateroom for what will seem like an eternity. We are on a 22 day and have only seen the outside of our cabin 6 days.  This is definitely the vacation I want to erase from my memory back. The ship will not communicate with you as to if others on the ship are positive or not. I believe Oceania should clearly state these procedures on their website, so everyone can make an informed decision prior to booking as to potentially how long they can be held quarantined.

How often Oceania test passengers for Covid?  How do they know if people get Covid on broad if they did not show any symptoms?

  6. One thing I am looking forward to is the afternoon tea on Rivera. I read some reviews said  they not as good as it used to be. I have been on Nautical once but never went to afternoon tea.  Some reviews are from January 22. I just wondering what is it right now. Anyone have pictures or want to share recent experience?  Thank you

The shipboard credit from AMEX and NCl appears as a creidt on your shipboard account and so anything that is charged to your account will be covered by those credits.....we have definately used both SBC to pay for gratuities when we didn't have prepaid gratuities.  I believe the only place onboard you can't use the SBC is in the casino...

Thank you for clarification.  I see Amex and Oceania SBC on my account now. I read on Amex terms and conditions and it said “credits cannot be used for casino charges, gratuities or other similar charges.”  Good to know I can use to pay for gratuity. Thank you

  8. I got $250 SBC when Oceania canceled or cruise. Can I use that to pay for gratuity?  I know that I can’t use $300 SBC from Amex cruise privilege program and $100 SBC from own Norwegian stock to pay for gratuity. Not sure if SBC from Oceania can use for gratuity.

  9. @Cruise Wonderland As of now I know 3 people who got 3 different offer. Seem like you and me get offered the same cruise. Do you take the offer or cancel?

Some people turn down the offer and cancel the cruise. I hope Oceania let us choose the cruise we want from the first email.  My TA called O and the rep know nothing about 1st email. She only see the cruise O rebooked me.  My TA will contact O and see what they can do.

Found out today that the cruise is cancelled . Riveria going into dry dock early. Changed our date to October and out of Barcelona. Canceling . Very upset

Did you get other choices?  Our first cancellation email Oceania gave me 4 alternate Rivera itinerary. But the 2nd email ( 3 minutes later) they rebooked me with Rome to Monte Carlo. The other get rebooked in June out of Barcelona.

O honor the original price we booked plus OBC. Our category is on waitlist.  Hopefully, we will get upgrade.

Just wondering if I still be able to choose one of the cruise they offer.  I contact my TA but she still not get back to me.

  11. Our cruise is the last one before it go to major upgrade. I get a feeling that O might cancel this cruise. Hopefully, O will let us know sooner than later.  I paid the deposit with my FCC which I had to use by Dec 22.  If O cancel this cruise, will I have the use it by 2022 or they will give me extension to 2023.

  12. We booked Rivera from Mote Carlo to Trieste(Nov4-14). Every category on this cruise is on a waitlist for at least 2-3 weeks now.  I know this cruise is not sold out.  There were a lot of cabins available when I check at the beginning of April.

The Rivera itinerary before and after this one are available for booking. I don’t know what’s happening.

What might cause this?  Will Oceania cancel this cruise if the booking is so low.  I know no one knows for sure. Just want to hear the options of the regular O passengers.

  13. Thank you for your post. I am looking forward to hear about your transfer from Trieste to Venice airport. Our cruise in November from Monaco to Venice which later changed to Trieste. Email from Oceania said they will offer complimentary transfer to Venice airport. We booked our own flight but I think the complimentary apply to all passengers.  We will stay in Venice 2 days after the cruise.

Just wondering what time they start transfer people to Venice airport.  I am thinking about take Oceania shuttle to airport and then just go to our hotel from the airport. Is it a good idea?

We had our second wine pairing dinner at La Reserve and to answer the most pressing question … the first (French) meal was the better of the two. This one, the Odyssey, was still very good and well worth doing.

First, the menu and the executive chef.

My favorite dish of the night was the scallop seared on the river stone. That scallop was one of the best bites I’ve ever had and the sizzling presentation was fabulous. Jack’s favorite dish was the Foie Gras.

The Veal Wellington was only good and the Floating Island dessert was too sweet for us. To be fair, I don’t know if that is a reflection of the dish or of our taste. Everything was so beautifully presented and the service was impeccable.

Other especially nice touches were the finishing salts and that awesome wine decanter. Juni, the wine guy, is an absolute gem!

We still have very windy conditions and this is the bounciest Caribbean cruise I’ve ever been on.

Today, Antigua by day and Jacques by night!

We are thinking about doing Odyssey menu but you said you like the French menu better. Can you please give me the comparison and why you like the French one better?

Yes, self serve laundry open.  Hubby there for first time ever acquaintance with machine!

change of meeting place for tomorrow morning at Barista's.     Riviera concerned that large numbers may show up and asked to meet in Horizons.   Same tim-  9:30 am, Sunday, Jan 9th.   How about near the statue in the middle near the dance floor?

Had Odyssey menu last night in LaReserve.   Juni, Abigale, Sandra and Catherine are a well oiled machine and the enthusiasm they bring made for a magical evening.   Juni is well spoken and knowledgeable about the wines.   I’ve attached the menu that also shows the wines paired and vintage.   If you haven’t booked, I’d rush to reservations and get it booked. You won’t be disappointed.

Do you have pictures of the dishes of this menu?  We are interested to make reservation on our up coming cruise.  Thank you.

"Can I make a new booking before I receive the future cruise credit for a cancelled booking?

Absolutely. However, for FCCs associated with the Peace of Mind policy, the FCC must be first generated and attached to the guest profile before it can be added to a reservation. It can then be applied to any new or existing reservation or group booking."

If that the case do you think they will let me apply to my existing booking in 2023?
