  1. I have looked through many threads regarding the arriving up to one hour earlier

than your alloted time if you have booked a JS or above.

All the info seems to for 2021.

Does anybody know if this is still valid.

I have a 12.30 time slot  for the Jewels TA in October in Barcelona.

11.30 of course is even better.

Thanks for any Info you might have,

    Happy cruising

    Stephen

  2. I got the Royal Bid email on the 13th Aug  for the Jewel TA in October.

Today I got an Email stating my bid has been cancelled due to the Port change.

I still have the old mail so I placed my bid again today.

did anybody else get the same email today?

    Happy cruising

  3. Hi friends,

not sailed for a while and have a question.

I am booked on the Jewels  TA in October  and have booked Rccl transfers from BCN to ship.

Do the transfers and check in times work together?

    many thanks for any help.

  4. We are using the ships excursions for all touring one tour is 12 hours with transportation by train so we will have time to relax to and from ship. Has anyone here been on such long tours and found the guides walk way too fast? In Rome, a number of folks almost lost the group because of this. anyone have this with Berlin 12 hr. tour?

    Just a tip.

If you take the Train to Berlin for example Dep. 10.03 arr 13.16 - ret 18.41 arr 21.54 costs approx 52 Euros for

2 persons. Trains are bookable 3 months in advance.

You can also take the 100 Bus and see most of Berlin very cheap.

  5. In my German NCL brochure, which is valid from June 2016 - October 2017

which arrived late in 2015. Epic is printed as follows:

Sailing dates October 8th and 22nd departs from Barcelona to Rome ( Civit. )

Sailing dates October 15th and 29th departs Rome to Barcelona.

Why would they be different in a non European Country ????

Sorry for your mess up and I hope you get it sorted quickly.

    Happy cruising

  6. I was on the Indy Transatlantic cruise in October 2016.

Having been on more that 10 T.A. This was the worst for Food and People.

The Chef was British and the Food was just plain awful. As a Brit, so many dishes were wrongly cooked, incorrect meat, So many People were complaining. A large Group of Brits, most who paid very Little for the cruise, flights etc. Made the cruise even worse, short and flip Flops at dinner and many were drunk.

It was not a nice cruise, never again sailing on a T.A from or to Southampton.

    Take the Epic!!

  7. I have travelled often in the USA with a Person in a wheel chair , it is very difficult to find an empty disabled parking space, most are full with drivers that can climb in and out of cars without difficulty.

Here in Germany your disabled badge has to have a letter G printed on it which shows you are 100% disabled cannot walk and are confined to a wheel chair, without this no free parking anywhere.

Düsseldorf Airport also offers free Terminal Parking but only with the blue badge.

    Happy cruising

  8. Strangely, I do not think that the prices look that bad compared to those at the same time the past two years although I may be checking different room categories. I keep a spreadsheet of sample prices to compare against. Perhaps others are misremembering?

Another UK cruiser has reported that Celebrity appear to be using our current awful exchange rate so the prices should look bad for us.

In Germany the Price is double for 2018.

Booked the Silhouette. Aug 23 sailing got a C2 for Euro 4900 with GO Best.

The same cruise on the 11 AUG ( Eclipse ) Euro 8278 same cabin.

WOW glad I booked for 2017

  9. Yes, $10 above the pre paid tips. We like Blue Moon. On Serenade, none seemed to be stocked at any bar. A lead bartender checked stock and then had Blue Moon for us. Easy $10 cash tip.

We attended various tasting events while on the cruise. The bartender was outstanding and very knowledgeable, not to mention funny too. The tasting cost $25. He was so good I gave him a $20 tip. I had Blue Moon for the rest of the cruise. Happy Cruiser.

That´s not tipping that buying the staff !!!!

That spoils it for the rest of us !!!
