I just did a 39 day cruise at $12.50 per person per day. The crew works very hard and long hours. They always had a smile and deserve every cent.

This was on HAL but think most cruise ships are similar.

This cost needs to be figured into the cost of the cruise.

I believe each person has the right to tip or not.

On the few times my tips have been prepaid, the Service was bad, the waiters know thier tips are in the bag. They also know you cannot cancel them.

Before, when we gave the tips at the end of the cruise the Service was much better. They earned them and GOT THEM.

Why can´t cruise lines pay the crew a decent wage instead of using cheap - untrained - staff from Eastern Europe - Asia and India. Tips would be a Bonus and we would all receive the super service we were used to !!!!

On some 5 * ships the waiters and head waiters have no idea what they are doing.

on the Indy and Enchantment Nov 16 they were charging 12.99 for Voom and 17.99 + Streaming on the Indy both hardly worked and were very slow , on the Enchanment both worked super.

Is anyone booking in the UK able to get price drops before final payment?

 

I have a cruise booked for next May, the price has dropped by £180 and the offer is still the same one I booked under. I rang my TA yesterday and they say Celebrity told them that to get the lower price, I have to cancel and rebook, obviously I'm not going to do this as I would lose my £300 deposit.

 

It's a couple of years since I requested a price drop from Celebrity, have things changed for UK customers? :(

Here in Germany also , CC and RCCL will no longer adjust the Prices

I booked the April 16 Equinox TA in April 15, and got the All IN deal.

Classic Drinks. Tips and $300 OBC Cost 1429 Euros for a C3.

Price is OK we have 3 Cabins booked.

The Prices for us are not that much better, Equinox Today, C3 is going as GTY for Euro 2650.

We got a C3 on the sunny side in April 15 for Euro 2950 along with the ALL IN package, drinks, tips and 300 Us $ OBC .

I think our Price was OK.

The worst Service and Food ever had on a ship.

even as a gift I would never set foot on MSC again.

When you enter cabin 7132, does anybody know if the bed is on the left or right cabin wall. I sleep on my right side and dont like to face the window.

Do I Need to Change the cabin to 7134 ?

Crazy but thats how it is.

We were on the Allure´s TA in April and are booked on the return in October.

As D+ we could use the CL that moved to Dazzels in the evenings,

now the CL has gone!!! Does anybody know which drinks are available in the DL and can D+ still get Cocktails and Spirits as before.

Grateful for any Information.

I have sailed once on MSC and NEVER AGAIN !! It was the worst Food ever in the Buffet and Restaurant, Service is Zero at it´s best.

Best to leave then alone!!

Go to Little Switzerland and ask for thier best offer, we have have bought Movado´s

reduced from $ 900 TO $ 299 These offers were always available .

But still some good bargins.

I got the Allure´s October 15 - D5 for Euro 1048 for the cabin. C&A Discount - over 55 and the Weekend Special.

Equinox April 16 Concierge 3 All in for Euro 1468 each. Super Price !!

Indi 30th October 16 D2 for Euro 1287 booked March 15 today it costs Euro 2215 each

I was on the last cruise before dry Dock.

They told us the private balconies will be changed to suites.

The concierge lounge is being moved up to Viking Lounge.

The Diamond Lounge is also being moved but they did not know where.
