We have some onboard credit from Seabourn for a special birthday on our next cruise and also we have the referral credit, plus our stockholder credit. We book through a UK agent who also gives us 10% discount.
I have just been looking on the Source App and discovered that a bottle of Cloudy Bay is $75 in the Club but $95 in the Observation Lounge! Can’t be right, surely? $20 is a lot for the view!!!
The traffic in cities in Vietnam is totally bonkers! Hoi An is a small city but still has lots of traffic. We thoroughly enjoyed walking around on foot, trying the coconut coffee and going to a silk lantern workshop. We also went on a boat late afternoon and set our lanterns on the water. Do Seabourn offer any other tours in Hoi An?
Interesting comments from SLSD as to how things can “colour” opinions. We sailed on Azamara and were talking to the Hotel Director one evening about guests’ feedback sheets. He said that if a cruise had poor weather it greatly affected opinions about everything else.
We are booked on the Sojourn in November and have got this Air Credit. We have never used Seabourn flights before but there is no alternative price for cruise only so we have taken the flights. We live in Yorkshire and our flights are early evening to LHR from Manchester, overnight stay at the airport (our expense!!) and then 8am flight to Barcelona. A pain as we could fly direct to Barcelona from Manchester but free is free! Homeward journey is also via LHR but all in one day. We will see how it goes!
Our 20 night cruise starting September 19th next year is now 19 nights, missing two ports. Found out from a FB group that the 2 cruises before ours have been cancelled. Charters happening?
We have often stayed in ocean view suites on Seabourn. Never had an issue with noise from below. As another poster suggested, don’t book one near the front of the ship as the anchor noise is louder there. We find that we don’t spend much time in our room as the ships have such lovely outdoor spaces where you can always find a quiet corner to read (or have a nap!)
The last couple of times we have had Marina day we have gone to the Club to sign up for it. You have to sign a waiver form and you are given a wrist band so the staff on duty at the Marina know you have signed. It’s no big deal!
