Yeah I usually cruise on Royal Caribbean and they have this policy....and I ignore it. I smoke a cigar on my balcony everynight.

If that pisses people off...sorry...

The worst the cruise will do is send someone to knock on my door and ask me to put it out.....

Keep in mind if you are driving and planning on parking at the port (not parking your car at the hotel for the duration of your cruise), you will still have to pay $6 for parking for the one night of your hotel stay. Residence Inn Cocoa Beach instituted this fee back in February of this year.

Wil lthe Residence Inn let us park there...pay the fee of course, if NOT staying in the hotel before departure? We have stayed there before...but now we are staying with friends in Jacksonville the night before so will just be driving down.

Exactly what I though...I mean the internet was not invented yesterday.... this isn't a forum post its a rant...

I think al lthe issues stem from the first one...and the first issue stems from 2 things:

sharing a room with family members besides just a spouse or your own children (bad idea, regardless of how much you say you love your family)

And 2.... failure to research and understand the room/cabin you are getting.

At that point you wanted it fixed...understandable..it was unexpected...but also not reall possible. Then, failiing to elevate it up the chain of command and only talking to the front line staff...meant it really wasn't going to get a serious fix.

everything after than snowballed and created the perception of poor customer service.

RCI has millions of customers a week...and they continue to successful and grow as a business..... That doesn't happy without many happy customers. No way everyone will be 100% satifisied...and crap happens sometimes.... its how we deal with it after that is what matters...and decides if we have a bad week or a good one....

With that said, I have been on Carnival and RCI.....I wouldnt step foot on Carnival again.....

Been on RCI Freedom of the Seas 2 years ago, going on Enchantment in Sept....

Was looking through some pics from DarthGrady and came across this picture from the Windjammer with Coke "FreeStyle" Machines. So, I take it if you have the soda thing on your card you can use them? Anyone know care to explain?? My wife loves these machines because you can mix flavors....we might get the soda purchase on the card if that's how you use these....
