Even better, on our last two trips the porters had their own line that sped up our time clearing Customs and Border Protection.
Don't give up to many secrets:D

Ok 2 places I have to worry about. Looking at the deck plans I think port side aft will be the best place for our balcony. Doubt any smoke from the pool deck will be noticeable from the back of the ship on sea days.
We did a port side balcony towards the aft and got the smell from people smoking on their balconies.

One entree and as many sides as you want and includes desert. The steak is a large cut and you wont leave hungry. At 19 dollars it a great deal. Got off indy last week and the above menu is spot on. Had a window table and the place was almost empty at 1:30. The 19 dollars also includes the tip..
Was on the Grandeur two weeks ago and now they add an additional 18% gratuity to the price.

Could be that since we all got a 50% reduction in the cruise price because the cruise went to Maine and Canada instead of Bermuda. The TA will most likely get a reduced commission, but they still should of given you at least half of the onboard credit promised.

Dh picked it so he can run in for coffee in the morning while I get dressed! That's what I heard about the balcony. Would love to see pictures if you can post some.
Just returned and had cabin 12318. We were in the CL more than usual because of the location. The balcony was 50% wider than the cabin next to ours.

Ok. We like deck 12 but we are D+ and like the Concierge lounge. More importantly you have cabins above and below, which is usually my first requirement. Yes you will have a walk to the elevators, but think of the calories you can walk off! We have 12318 booked in January so I can't feel for you, unless walking is a problem for you. Most importantly, just enjoy your cruise.
We have 12318 booked for this month, with the Concierge Lounge in mind. Also from pictures I have seen it looks like it has an expanded balcony.
-
Your are close to the Concierge Club. Good if your Diamond Plus or above. Otherwise its just cabins and a good walk to the elevators

Did you have to sign for that extra $1.18? That's the one thing that aggravates DH. Before with the Classic, he just gave his card. Now he is afraid that he will have to sign for every little "upshot".
Yes, but for every "upshot" before the changes one would have to pay full price for the drink. Now one just pays the difference in price. Still have to sign either way.

Celebrity carries both (Fox and CNN). Royal dropped Fox a few years ago and we always ask for it back on the survey.

No mini-bar charge on the final bill we received in our cabin on the Anthem last month. After reading about this here, I checked the emailed bill I got after returning home. A new mini-bar charge had been added for $12.37. I called Royal Customer Service and a credit is to be issued to my credit card in 3-5 business days. I don't know if I would have noticed a $12 additional charge if I didn't read about it here. $12 X number of cabins X number of ships X number of cruises does add up.
-
Just looked at the e-mailed PDF file they sent to me after the cruise and a mini-bar charge of 12.37 was added on the last day of the cruise but not on the bill sent to the cabin. That was November, hopefully I can get a refund when I call C&A tomorrow
Called the post sailing customer service number and without debate I was told that my credit card will be credited the $12.37 within 3 to 4 business days.

I had this BOGO offer on my last cruise on the Anthem, and this is how it works: you purchase the offer for $30 per person, and can only choose the time you want to dine on the first night. Royal will make the reservations on your behalf at the time you chose on two specialty restaurants of their choosing on the first and second night. When you first get to your cabin, there will be a leaflet indicating the time at restaurants that were reserved for you. In my case, I had Chops for the first night and Jamie's for the second. Since I wanted to try Wonderland, I just went to the Wonderland host right away, in the afternoon of my first cruise day, and asked her to switch from Jamie's to Wonderland, and that's it. So, if you are not happy with the reservations Royal made for you, you are free to switch both the restaurant and dining time once onboard.
Thanks for the info from someone that's done it. Was also wondering, since most of the specialty restaurants single price is more than $30.00 do they charge extra for the difference in price. For instance when you went to Chops

This is why we are sailing our first cruise on Grandeur of the seas. We wanted a 12 night, and we can still drive to the port, just have to leave two hours earlier.

Are you sure the passenger gets to choose the restaurant?
I was about to take advantage of this offer for an upcoming cruise aboard the Anthem, but was hesitant after reading "Select your dining party and your preferred dining time and a courtesy dinner reservation will be made on your behalf once onboard in two specialty restaurants for the first two nights of your cruise" in my cruise planner. This verbiage also seems to indicate that you must dine in a specialty rest on nights 1 and 2 only.
Will RCL allow flexibility in choosing both the restaurants and the nights when taking advantage of this offer?
According to the rep I talked to the first night must be either night 1 or 2 (I read that dining is night 1 and night 2 only). The first night according to the rep once onboard the reservation can be changed to a restaurant of your choice.
-
I called Royal about this and they told me that this promotion is only offered on select cruises. When selected on-line you choose only a dining time and prepay $30.00 for each person. According to the rep., when on board the ship one chooses the specialty restaurant they want to dine at either on the first or second night of the cruise, then choose the next dinner at another specialty restaurant for any other night of the cruise.
-
They've offered this across the fleet, crossing my fingers I can get it in November. The DW and I plan not not go to the MDR this time around.
So I guess this offer is for all that sail on our Nov. Anthem cruise and not just for Diamond plus and above (there goes another benefit). So I will pre book in order to assure we get a reservations.
-
When booking dining reservations for an upcoming Anthem cruise one of the options was to pre purchase BOGO dining at specialty restaurants for the first two nights. We usually get a coupon for this because we are Diamond plus and book this onboard. However if this is available to all to book I feel that I should pre book the specialty restaurants now. Is it possible that the RCCL web site adds this option only because we are diamond plus?

Had a few of them from the aft bar. Nothing special on top, just coco syrup on the insides of the glass. Pina Colada's had Meyers Rum on top.
-
The CL will become a Suite Lounge for "Gold colored" seapass cards only.
Sent from my iPhone using Forums
The Concierge didn't mention that, however the Diamond Lounge has the same stuff except for a view on the opposite side of the ship.
-
According to the new deck plans, the current CL on deck 10 will become the library and card room.
Only relaying what the Concierge on the Liberty OTS told me this past week. Maybe the current library on Deck 7 will be the space for the new cabins. Noticed there were only about 10 books on the shelves when passing by.
-
Hello, We are sailing on the Liberty in early December. Will the concierge lounge still exist on deck 10 or will it have changed to the suites lounge? I am confused.
The Concierge Lounge will be moving to deck 14 where the card/game room was (now closed under construction), and cabins will be installed where it is now on Deck 10. This will happen after dry dock in Jan.

We booked on-line for the first night and used the BOGO coupon. They didn't refund any money but told us to come back any other night for another BOGO.

Have booked MTD for the first time on a Oct 2015 cruise on Liberty OTS. Have tried to make reservations on line for each evening, but get a message to make them when onboard. Is this normal or is it to early to make reservations (or to late).
Coastal Kitchen Disappeared from Cruise Planner....?
in Royal Caribbean International

Just booked a GS on Anthem for March 2018. I do not see an option in the cruise planner to reserve Coastal Kitchen. I guess that reservations are not required if booked GS or higher.
