  1. It is a fantastic meal. It is a set menu with the exception of the main course. We were lucky enough to have 2 of these meals and the choice for the main course was fish or beef. If you have any allergies you can let them know beforehand.

  2. We have never had an issue at the port in Rome but we had items stolen while travelling back via Rome Airport after our last cruise. When our case arrived at Heathrow it was taped up as it had been cut open and several items stolen. BA were really good and gave us the cost of all the items stolen and replaced the case within 2 days.

  3. Maybe it is about the 2 or 3 night overnight land excursions off the ship but that was announced a month ago so it can't be that as some are already offered on the website. They sound really interesting such as staying in a luxury Bedouin tent in Oman and the Israel one too which is a great way of seeing more of the country. Perhaps it is more examples and details of these and where you would rejoin the ship etc? I wonder how they will adjust the price because you are not on the ship for those days?

  4. I think a bath is warm and relaxing on a cold weather cruise but on a lovely summer evening in the Med or Caribbean we much prefer to shower and relax before dinner on the balcony with a lovely sea view than being in the bathroom.
  5. When booking, we always ask our agent to get our locator number which means we can then access our booking. This means we have to pay for our flights at that time in order that the flight can be 'ticketed' which obviously carries its own risks of paying for flights sometimes 11 months out. It does mean though that we can then reserve our seats for which there is a charge on BA unless you are silver or gold members. We wouldn't book unless we know we can pay for our flights in advance and receive that locator number, having had the experience years ago with another cruise line when we were booked in a block and sat separately within that block.

  6. We were on the Sojourn cruise before you finishing in Rome. It was fantastic and we loved everything about it (except the block party - it is not our thing so we hid in our room and didn't know when it was safe to come out!!). Chef Neal was amazing, he was everywhere and we loved the market produce he brought on board and the special lunches and dinner in the Colonnade. We also enjoyed the main dining room and the various fun epicurean events on deck. We were lucky too with the sailing - we didn't have one cloud or one ripple on the sea for the whole time - nor did we see any other ships in the lovely ports we visited except in Malta. We had been concerned about the smoking issue prior to cruising but hardly saw anyone smoking for the entire cruise. The few children on board were delightful with no problems. Loved the food, the space on the ship and the fantastic service from the lovely friendly crew. The sun beds are uncomfortable and should have cushions for such a luxury line but that is the only negative in what was a wonderful cruise!

  7. We were on the same cruise and I asked why they were using hand scanners and searching bags by hand when they could use the scanning machines on board and they said it was so there wasn't a queue on the tender platform which I thought was strange as it is normally a quick process. They did use the machines on the 2 days we were docked. PS. It was a great cruise with lovely ports and great weather.

  8. Thank you. I thought that might be the case but wanted to be sure it wasn't wishful thinking. That is potentially very good news as we really wanted to take the Aug 11 Fjords-North Cape cruise b2b with something as we don't want to fly to Europe for only two weeks. The 2nd - 11th of Aug is not showing up and the 26th isn't either. If the either the 2nd or 26th open up with an interesting itinerary, we may yet get to sail again with Azamara.

I was googling this as we were interested in the August dates but I noticed that the 2nd - 11th August 2016 is a "Baltic Debauchery' Cruise charter for a "non stop party" swingers cruise.

  9. Hi All, we are currently on board the Quest and having a wonderful time! The ship is lovely and the staff lovelier.

Last night, we did the Azamazing evening in Kotor. What a fantastic evening! A beautiful, talented cellist, Ana Ruchner who performed in a beautiful setting. Wonderful!.

Anyway, if you have any questions, please write back and I'll try to answer. If I have one complaint, it's the connectivity to the internet. Very sporadic. But, the good thing is I just found great connections where I am currently sitting....the bad thing is it's right near the Mosaic Cafe! That means a cappuccino and small pastry as I write to you. UGH! :)

Thank you for your review. We were on the Quest last week and the week before and had a lovely time too. We enjoyed the Azamazing evening too although there were some complaints that it was too loud. However, Ana performed in Hvar on our cruise so it may have been a different performance than where you saw her in Kotor. We love the Mosaic Cafe too. Have a great cruise!

  10. No, we weren't asked. I just noticed a different room number on our booking summary a couple of weeks before the cruise. I had already printed out the edocs and got our luggage labels with the old room number so I just printed it out again. We didn't ask anyone about it, nor did anyone ever tell us we had been upgraded. We were really pleased though and loved the room.

  11. Yes it is the 5th July edocs that are missing though I notice others on the roll call have theirs. Our TA contacted Azamara today and they said they should be issued this week. They have never arrived this late before.

  12. They are not available online. Everything has been filled in including credit card details and it says 'Complete' and has been for months. We have printed out our Xpress pass but no Edocs. Our TA hasn't had any luck getting them either. We are still hoping they will appear!

  13. Our Edocs are usually available at least a month before travel, together with the link to request luggage tags. However our cruise is just over 2 weeks away and no sign of Edocs yet. Our TA hasn't received them either. We are not worried as we can get our luggage tags at the ship and we have our Xpress pass but sometimes we have been asked for the transfer slips contained with the Edocs. Has anybody else found they are very late appearing?

  14. All the excursions we have purchased have disappeared from our Reservation. Under the Excursions Summary, it says "Excursions Purchased: 0". Has anyone else noticed this?
