  1. Caittier. It was also served in Luminae and the Retreat. We brought our own bottle of Veuve Clicquot on board with us.
  2. Embarkation Day - 7/31 A little after 1 p.m. it was announced that suites and staterooms were ready. We headed to our home for the week, RS 6141. The living room The entry and dining area Our welcome bottle of champagne. When we asked our Butler, Ronald, about Perrier-Jouet (PJ) we were told that there was none on board. He also said that there hadn't been any PJ on board for more than a month. The substitute was Cattier (https://www.cattier.com/en/) We asked Ronald if it was possible to get a bottle of Taittinger. He said that he would see what he could find. About 30 minutes later he presented us with a cold bold of Taittinger and told us it was the last bottle he could find. We thanked him and reviewed the requests, which I had printed out, we made of the Shore Side Concierge. @DJsDH then continued the tour of our suite. The walk-in closet and the entry to the bathroom. The bathroom storage behind the door. The sinks and tub. We both loved the layout of the sink area and the lighting in this area. Another view of the tub and the shower. We found the lighting in the shower very dim. We then checked out the bedroom. The view from the entry door. The view from the sliding doors. The view from my side of the bed 🥂
  3. Greetings all! We hit the immersion back to the real world quickly on Sunday. @DJsDH hit the road on Tuesday and is away until Friday. I am recovering from reentry into the real world with laundry, doctors' appointments, mail and the rest that comes with being away. So this thread will become more of an almost live report🙃
  4. I agree the A Team is led by Yuksel! Andy is excellent and works in tandem with Moniek and Joana. Our last day passed too quickly!
  5. I did share your best regards with Prez. He may be you butler on your next cruise👍
  6. For those of you on the next sailing, Prez is scheduled to leave tomorrow for a two-month break. Yuksel, Andy, Moniek and Joana, all in Luminae, have provided incredibly warm and professional service. As a matter of fact, we have had a rough two days with not being able to use our balcony in the way that we wished. The crew in Luminae saved each evening for us and the quite possibly the cruise.
  7. A beautiful morning at sea as we sail back to Cape Liberty. We we’re honored to attend a bridge tour where I took this photo. The tour was extremely informative. A thorough review will be forthcoming. Today we plan on enjoying the fair winds and following seas🥂
  8. A beautiful smooth day at sea! We were honored to attend a navigational bridge tour. It was extremely informative!
  9. Happy Friday all from beautiful Bermuda 🇧🇲 it has been an interesting port visit for us. Yesterday we lost power around 10:30 a. m. For about 20 minutes. We also saw the most beautiful lightening storm over the island. I promise a full day be day recap once we are home and we have reliable Wi-Fi for photo uploads. We have switched to Hendricks and it is quite excellent!
  10. Thanks for the Tanqueray 10 tip! Last night I tried Hendricks and Diet Tonic and it was delicious! When we are at home I drink the Diet Fever Tree. On board they just have diet Canada Dry Tonic.
  11. @Happy Cruiser 6143 we talked with Yuksel art lunch today in Luminae. His current contract ends in late September. He isn’t sure if he will be staying on the Summit or moving to the Refection. I promise more day by day reports … even some food pics. Tough life at sea🥂🍾🥂
  12. It’s been available in Luminae and The Retreat and The Retreat Sundeck. We also have it in our RS. Great idea @Wineaux007.
  13. The Wi-Fi has been spotty here and there but for the most part very good.
  14. I believe since the filet it’s on the kids menu in the MDR it is available in all of the dining rooms.
  15. Yes it does! Sometimes @DJsDHlikes to go old school and hold a paper menu 🤣
  16. We haven’t seen him since the first day … if we do we will pass along your regards.
  17. I had a very friendly chat about the situation with Penelope who, along with Mar, are taking excellent care of us.
  18. Sorry for slacking but here is our current situation My traditional vacation toes photo🤣 Enjoying a Tanqueray and Diet Tonic since we are on Bermuda time (clocks went forward last night).
  19. Sufficiently satiated @DJsDH, with masks on, checked in at our muster station in the Rendezvous Lounge. We spied a few what we though were open seats at the Martini Bar but were quickly told those seats we taken. No worries ... we headed off the the Retreat where we were warmly welcomed by Penelope and Mar. What a serene and welcoming retreat from the the craziness of embarkation day! We saddled up to the table by the door to the outside deck. Cecilia was behind the bar and was expertly handling requests. We chatted with the Suite team. We found then charming, warm and accommodating. Penelope was able to secure a 7 p.m. reservation at Tuscan Grille for us on Monday evening. The view from the deck outside the Retreat.
  20. We found our way to Luminae and met Yuskel, the warm and charming maitre'd. He asked our suite number and then escorted us to the first window table as you enter Luminae. @DJ'sDH and I split the Lobster Roll and Steak Frites. Both were delicious. We wanted a Tanqueray and Diet Tonic to go with our lunch. The Sommelier, Johanna, was obviously trying to keep up with the influx of passengers. We requested a wine list when she delivered out drinks but it never materialized. While we were dining two group of 10 entered for lunch and the dynamic changed dramatically. @DJsDHand I just chalked it up to embarkation day and all of its craziness.
  21. @DJsDH dropped the hand luggage and me off at Special Delivery. He went to park the car. For some reason I saw our car pass us. So I called. Me: "Did you just drive by?" Him: "Yep, didn't realize the garage would be so close." We masked up before we entered the terminal which was PACKED! We wait in line about five minutes. We presented all of our paperwork and were told to wait for the Concierge to meet us. We moved to the side and waited while a couple to the left of us were checked in. Then Concierge Lyle made a big deal about the folks next to us and then said to us "Come along and keep up." I was guessing perhaps these folks were in the PH or Super Duper Zenith. Nonetheless, we paid for a RS and expected RS treatment. Maybe I was expecting too much. As we were waiting for Concierge Lyle it was announced that all could board ... let the stampede begin. @DJ's DH and I had to literally jog to keep up Lyle and the Super Dupers. Lyle made NO effort to engage us. He was too busy talking the ears off the Super Dupers. So we CRAMMED into an elevator all the way forward. It was quite an uncomfortable ride as Lyle, @DJsDHand I were the only ones masked. We exited the elevator on Deck 6 Lyle left us in his dust as he hurried the Super Dupers to a RS two down from us. We were left to our own to find the suite and to learn about lunch and Luminae. Thanks to reports from the wonder folks here in CC we were good to go. Our wonderful room steward Prez was putting the finishing touches on the suite as we dropped off our hand luggage and headed to Luminae.
  22. Struggling with the wifi on board ... please patient and gentle 🤣
  23. Good afternoon all from a breezy and overcast day somewhere in the Atlantic. Perfect balcony lounging weather for @DJsDH and me. Embarkation Day - July 31 We left the Liberty International Newark Airport around 10:45 for the 15 minute drive to the port. Waze did her usual fabulous job of getting us to the Special Delivery Drop off point.
  24. To be honest @Jim_Iain he didn't make a very good first impression. Story to follow...
  25. It's basically your traditional mimosa of OJ and champers with a splash or two of Grand Marnier. Cointreau does work but we much prefer Grand Marnier.
