  1. You can have a cash account, but I do believe they want some type of CC or debit card on file for overages. You just go to the passenger services desk when you board with your cash to put on your account.

  2. I think you might have lucked out! In the overlay of the two decks it looks to me like your view will be straight out *between* two lifeboats! You will see the lifeboats to the right and left but your straight out view is between them!

I am truly hoping this is the case. Just anxious to see if anyone has pics out there. :)

  3. We just go our cabin assignment for March 2nd. E310. A little worried as it is listed as partially obstructed. Anyone stayed in this cabin and have pics? I haven't been able to find any during my internet search. We were booked as a GTY BZ and this is a BW. Thanks.

  4. The Princess tour sounds so much better then the one my DH did on the Allure. The same price but longer, and I don't even think they were given anything.

It was amazing when we did it on the Caribbean. $150 - we got robes, pictures - about 5 I believe (and double since DH and I both did the tour), aprons, and a personalized note pad from the print shop. We also had champagne on the bridge/OJ, sodas, etc and snacks, from what I remember.

The way I look at it, we would have spent this on an excursion potentially and we got take homes from it because of it. It was an awesome experience and I think if you are interested in something like this, you have to do it once.

  5. The ultimate balcony dinner is worth it for sure. Surf and turf - about four courses and half a bottle of champagne, a rose or two, and you get pictures taken and I believe you get to pick one or maybe two. We also got to choose a cocktail each. The wait staff we have had for these dinners are amazing. We try to book on a day when we are leaving port - cool to sit and watch the island go by. It is a highlight of the cruise for DH and I. $50 each.

  6. We have done it twice in NY on the Caribbean, and although we have sailed her several times and didn't need to go on the tour, it was a nice lunch, relaxing day, embarkations photos included and several hours to drink poolside (using your cruise card they give you for the day for charges). Hoping to do it this summer again.

  7. My DH and I have a real fear of this. When we are off the boat independently ashore (which we do occasionally), we always make sure we come back with an hour to spare. I know we can't control car accidents etc, but we always try to return with plenty of time to spare. We sail the Caribbean and we always have our Passports for this reason ashore in case we need to fly.

  8. We have been on one Carnival cruise - it was a 4 day - and we haven't returned. The 4 days is more so of a crazy passenger mix - we weren't thrilled. It was a booze cruise - and I feel like the highly intoxicated passengers weren't ever cut off even though they were sloshed. We felt like there was a lot less interaction with the cruise staff and the guests and less activities. Probably because it was a short cruise, but we won't book again on Carnival.
