We are going on our first cruise since 2019, also on Anthem. We contemplated canceling because we were worried that we would not stop at the ports that were on our original itinerary, but then we thought it’s still a cruise and we will get to the Caribbean, we will eat, drink, and relax. Our favorite port is St Lucia, just waking up and seeing the sheer beauty of it is my favorite. But, if we don’t get to go there, it’s ok. And San Juan is no loss to us, it’s not one of our favorite stops. A lot of the changes are not Royals choice, it’s been a very rough time for all cruise lines. Think about it, they were completely shut down for over a year, right? That’s a crazy amount of money lost. Need to give them a break…..

I’ve looked at the klymite? air mattresses on Amazon. They look really narrow. If you put 2 on a king do they cover the whole mattress? I don’t want to roll off in the night into a “crack”.
We have those Klymite air pads and they work great, they are just the right size in my opinion.

I did look there, I can change my bid but that’s it. I did up my bid thinking that may trigger a next page asking for the card but it didn’t. I’m leery of canceling my bid and then not being able to enter one again.

I hope this isn’t a dumb question, but where do I enter a credit card to pay for an upgrade if they accept my bid? I looked on my Cruise Planner account and don’t see a place, unless of course I purchase something. I had a ton of OBC from my cancellation in 2020, still have some actually so I’m not buying anything with a card there. And I know my card that may have been used is no longer valid. Thank you in advance!

They gave us one to use for my Mom on Quantum, but I admit that was 2015. We just went to Guest Services and said she was having trouble getting around. Which was true....

It includes Starbucks branded drinks but not anything for a standalone Starbucks. The drinks at La Patisserie on Anthem are included.

They are facing down the sides of the ship but cannot see on the balconies themselves. It would be fine for one to land on my balcony, I would love to see what they look like. In little pieces, under my foot........When we were departing FLL a week ago, I was sitting in the Solarium on the port side and there was a drone just outside the ship looking in. Nothing to do but wave at it, as there is no expectation of privacy on a cruise ship deck. I have watched many of these on youtube, and are very entertaining to watch. I am sure it was someone that was flying it from the beach, as it was just as we were passing the condo's and exiting the port.Also, not really sure there is an expectation of privacy on a balcony either, as there are cameras all over the exterior of the ship facing the balconies. I would think "private balcony" really only refers to its use. Not sure if there is a policy that clarifies this on RCI or not.

Better off getting a Citi Double Cash Back card and take the 2% you get back and put it in a vacation savings account and get interest, then the points don't expire and you could use it for something else if need be.

Was that a lightning deal? It is $71 now :(I'll be on Grandeur in March for 12 nights. Just ordered a Klymit Static V inflatible sleep pad on the recommendation of folks here on CC. On sale for today on Amazon for $37. I figured it's worth $3 dollars a day to not have a backache on my vacation. Plus I can use it whenever I travel! The mixed drink prices are very similar to a nice restaurant bar in my area but beer is higher. We get the Deluxe package, I really don't care what it costs, I'm on vacation and am just going to enjoy! I don't even get my diamond member drinks as I get the package, which sucks but I don't feel like having to think! Plus my fiance is not a diamond yet and she needs the package to keep up [emoji6]

This really doesn't bother me that much, a reduced deposit just means more to pay later. I would prefer the OBC to stay more than the reduced deposit.

I book my next cruise while on the current one. I don't worry about the price one bit, the cost really doesn't matter to me, it's worth it at any cost. I let my TA watch for price drops and adjust accordingly but I don't really look at the price. There's no feeling like the excitement in the month or two leading up to the big day :)

Great drink, had a couple too many on a Quantum cruise back in 2015, spent a significant amount of time sleeping on the bathroom floor. Haven’t had one since!
