I like the Da Italia Con Amore at the Bionic Bar and John Collins at the Schooner

We LOVE the Quantum class!! It's a refreshing new design, to me that is nice. I've been on all classes but Oasis class and Empress. Started out on the Sovereign back in 1994. Second would probably be Voyager class, with Freedom a close third, more elevators would probably make them second. Radiance Class are really elegant just a bit small for my liking. But it is all a personal preference

Heck, if my fiance could get the time off I would book a 12 night B2B with whatever is on either side of it :)Agreed!Don't you hate it, when it seems like you've just got into the cruise routine, and then BAM!....you're hit with disembarkation information?

We absolutely loved Jamie's! Seemed like very authentic italian fare, always had fun wait staff, allow enough time and have plenty of room available for food as they WILL feed you plenty!! Try it, I doubt you will be disappointed!

I will just say that once you go longer you may never be able to go 7 nights again. We only do the 12 nights now

We do it whenever really, no rhyme or reason. We are doing a five dinner package and the BOGO, but I'm leaning toward the unlimited for future cruises, we love the specialty's, especially Jaimies!

We were on the Anthem last January and had the best cabin attendant in my 14 cruises, bar wait staff was spotty but more good than bad, MDR was decent, specialty restaurants were amazing. Overall we we're thrilled, enough to be going on her again in 76 days :). But then again we are not picky and know how hard they all work.

It's not really false advertising, you get what the ad says. It just ends up being the same "best" possible price.......

The islands want tourists back as soon as possible. We are their livelihood. Those of you bashing RCI should be ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. Yes, I meant to shout! Have you idiots seen what RCI has done to help the relief efforts????? Google it, I'm not wasting my time trying to spoon feed it to you. But I will say it's been phenomenal

Hopefully he is there! He was so personable on the cruises we were on with him. I'll never forget him coming by on the lifeboat deck straightening deck chairs and then taking the time to chat with us.Using the 10 week on, 10 week off measure, it looks like Captain Henrik would be leaving right around Jan 13, 2018. However, the captains can vary their schedule slightly by mutual agreement, so there's no guarantee.Sent from my K88 using Forums mobile app

I'm a little confused on the Anthem coming up, will it be likely that Captain Henrik will be at the helm on her for our January 7, 2018 cruise? We absolutely loved him on previous trips with him!!

I feel for you, if you never did it before then you wouldn't know. I hope your TA can help. It shouldn't be too hard to follow the paper trail back to the booking on the shipOk, moderator, can you just delete this whole thread.I obviously was not "ripped off." I was supposed to know as a first time Nextcruise booker what the invoice was supposed to look like. And having looked back over it, I think the problem occured with the agent who booked it not putting it on there. And there was something at end explaining how OBC works and how much you get for length of cruise, but the line is actually blank on the invoice.
And I am not stupid, not a horse, you are a rude person. (and that is using huge restraint as to what I really think, many explatives) I have just not cruised a million times. And yes, the rep on the RCI ship who had probably signed up tons of people should have added the OBC correctly.
And yes, I have contacted my travel agent and am awaiting a response.\
And I do regret using rip-off which may be reason I got a few nasty responses, but did not see how to edit the subject.

We love the Anthem too! Agree completely with everything you said. We are on the January 7th sailing and will probably book another on her for 2019! It may not be the ship for everyone but it is amazing!

Here's a suggestion, don't read the posts you don't want to......You should have done a search before starting a new thread. If you do a search.
You will find the 3000 ongoing threads on this very subject.
It gets asked almost everyday.

I could not agree more ! Sometimes it is nice to have a fresh thread for fresh opinions. And if I don't want to read a post, I don't!It's people like you with your opinions why I left cruise critic for a few years.....I had a question, I asked it in my own words...I don't have all day to sit around and scroll through hundreds of posts looking for someone who asked a similar question. I imagine every possible question about cruising has been asked before....Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Yes, check your paperwork from when you booked on board. You would not lose it when you transfer to your TA, we do that every year. Unless maybe he/she didn't do something right in the transfer. I would have your TA inquire with their RCI contact.i booked on board September 2016 for a September2017 cruise. Was promised 100 OBC. Never received. Did I lose that credit when I transferred booking to my travel agent.Sent from my K88 using Forums mobile app

The WJ was open on the Quantum till at least 1am for simple food, hot dogs, burgers, fries, cold cuts, etc. This was in April 2015 out of Bayonne. We went there many times after Joe Hollywood played Closing Time on the Schooner Bar piano 😊

"The PDF says the change is in response to the lack of popularity of immediate-use onboard credit."
How many of you DO NOT use the OBC immediately?
We likely wouldn't use it immediately as we prepay our gratuities, drinks and specialty restaurants and don't buy much onboard. So we use it on the next cruise to prepay
