  1. I just checked online to book dinner at Cagney's on the Escape. There are only 3 days available for the week and only 9:30 each day which is too late to start dinner. Anyone know if this means it's all booked for the week or the online allocation of dinner times were used and you could still get another chance once onboard?

    thanks,

    Steve

  2. Hope someone can give some insight on booking shows online ahead of sail date. Going on the Escape in September and we have three cabins with a total of six people. Went online to book a show and my reservation only shows my wife and I. How do we book the six of us so we get the same show and time? Do we all have to book separate and hope we wind up with the same?

  3. Sorry but Celebrity includes the classic beverage package so you don't have to buy it separate. It's not worth the cost to pay full price on any cruise line for the drink package. At dinner I was able to get a full bottle of wine each night as long as my wife and I were drinking the same. If we finished it the waiter would simply bring another bottle. Espresso with desert no problem. Large bottle of water to bring at each port no problem. Cafe Baccio is a area were you can order special coffees with or without liquor and get a pastry or slice of cake and yes no charge. My issue is NCL is advertising their drink package as Ultimate and its far from that. Ultimate means top of the line, the best, all encompassing. But its not.

  4. I find it ridiculous that a package labeled "Ultimate beverage package " does not include a bottle of water, a can of soda or non standard coffee drinks. Can someone explain what the word Ultimate means to Norwegian! I am a regular Celebrity cruiser and decided to give Norwegian a try this September. On Celebrity you get all the items on the beverage package that you don't get above on Norwegian. Large bottle of Water to take onshore, cans of soda and gourmet coffee with and without alcohol. Come on Norwegian. Stop with the nickel and diming of people!.

  5. New to Escape and Norwegian and trying to figure out the best way to schedule dinner /shows so we have enough time to eat and go to a show at night. I understand the ship is big and the shows cannot hold all passengers at the same time. Does anyone know the show schedule on Escape with days and times or have any recommendations? We are a party of six if that helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve

  6. Hello All.

New to the Escape and would love to know opinions on what floor(s) should I book 3 balcony cabins for my family. Youngest is 29.

Noticed there is a availability on floors 9-15 for the September 9th sailing.

    Thanks,

    Steve

  7. I see there is a issue regarding the activities aboard the Summit. Let me say I have been on the Summit the last 5 years during July. I use this cruise to kick back and relax with my wife. We are 64 and 59 respectively. The ship caters to an older crowd. I would say 80% of the ship was close to or were seniors. If you have kids or are younger this is most likely not the ship for you but there are always exceptions. All you have to do is watch guests getting off the Summit in Bermuda and you will see what I mean. Then go over the the Breakaway and do the same and you will see the difference in ages. I have never sailed the Breakaway mainly because of the large amount of people onboard. I will say that I wish the Summit would the activity levels to offer more.

  8. I also was on the July 7th nine night cruise. I agree the activities during the day could be improved. That being said my wife and I had a great time. This was my 5th straight July cruise on the Summit and believe me it was refreshing that they finally dropped the previous production shows. Our opinion of the shows was they were much improved. This 9 day cruise had two different comedians who did two shows each. Two different singers one of which did two different shows and two new productions shows. The only show left over from previous years was Imagic. I sat in the first row and watched really closely and still cannot figure out how stuff was done. Not sure what some people expect to see on a cruise ship. As far as the Celebrity staff is concerned I have nothing but good things to say about the service. In five years I have never been disappointed. We were also lucky enough to have great weather and smooth seas throughout the nine nights. We ate in Blu and so cannot comment on the MDR experience. The food in Blu was good just stay away from the pumpkin gnocchi. It was the only bad thing...
