  1. Our cabin on the Sunshine did have metal walls.

When we are in a cabin that has an upper bunk we use the ladder to hang wet clothes on. We rinse them out in the shower. Ring them out. We put the ladder against the wall with a towel or two under it and hang wet bating suites on the steps.

For us the door rack didn’t work well. We found it really wasn’t needed.

We bring clothes pins also for the shower rack.

  2. Carnival excursion in Grand Cayman are ship time. Some local excursion vendors use local time. One hour difference. We missed the excursion. However we did make the next one.

We did a Carnival excursion in Isla Roatan Honduras. There was three different times at the same beach location.

One for our ship the Valor out of Port Canaveral. One for the Dream out of New Orleans and the local time.

Instead of asking what time the next shuttle for the port left we asked how many minuets. It was much easier to figure out.

  3. FTTF does NOT buy you or make you Platinum or Diamond Status.

My Carnival PVP basically told me FTTF enables you to Board with Platinum & Diamond guest and your cabin should be ready when your board. Thats about it.

Actually FTTF boards “after” Diamond and Platinum.

They do get to use the VIP line at guest services and having your cabin ready when you board.

  4. I have seen many people on crutches, in wheel chairs and on scoters on ships.

There were two problems I saw.

One getting into a crowded elevator or have to with for one with room.

The second was some scoters would not fit into a cabin and had to stay in the hallway all night.

I would hate to go on a cruise with a broken ankle. I would still go.

Hope you have a fun cruise.

  5. If you have a platinum passenger in your cabin you will not need FTTF. Cancel it and get a refund.

Your luggage tags and boarding pass will say priority.

It may be best to print an all in one boarding pass. The boarding pass will list the names of all passengers in the cabin and their VIFP level. Blue, red, gold or platinum. As long as one is platinum you are good to go.

  6. On Carnival when you book on line you pay at the time of booking.

Disney doesn’t charge you when you book on line. Which is a problem because people book excursions just to save them if they may want to use them.

You can cancel a booked excursion up to a couple of days before the cruise. If you are going to cancel a cruise you may want to cancel your excursions first.

  7. We use a Belkin on our cruises. As mentioned the rotating plug allows you to use it in any direction.

I use a CPAP at night and bring an extension cord to plug it in. It also helps if we wanted to use an extra outlet.

The Breeze did have two outlets in the cabin when we sailed in March.

I have read that power strips are ok as long as they don’t have a surge protector in them.

  8. It has some supervised events going on late night in circle c not every night.

The room is open 24 hours a day for kids to meet and stay there or go sit somewhere else on the ship.

Circle c does have security cameras. Anything that happens is recorded on still photos that can be reviewed at a later date.

The Carnival rules about children hitting someone are not the same as adults hitting someone.

  9. I print out the conformation number on the computer screen for each purchase.

It is the only way I know to have a record that can be shown to guest services if needed.

I have not yet needed to go to guest service since everything has always shown up on our on board account.

  10. We used the facial recognition kiosk on the Carnival Dream and it was a mess. We couldn’t find all of our photos. Also many photos of other people kept showing up.

The Disney Dream it was easier to find your photos because they were all printed out, like Carnivals, and were all put in a folder for you to look at. Before photos are taken you had to give the photographer your card. Disney had the photo thing done very well. However our 4 day Disney Dream cruise with three passengers cost more than $400 more than our 7 days Carnival Dream cruise with four passengers.

It’s the passengers that want all of the photos taken. No one is forced to have their photo taken. You don’t have to have any photos taken if you don’t want to.

We like the photos and will always purchase some. We don’t spend much money in the bars or casino so we can us some of that for photos.
