  1. On the Valor we asked for early seating and were wait listed. We were assigned to anytime. We were not guaranteed our requested dining time even though we are platinum. Platinum only gets priority. We probably booked too late.

Once we boarded the ship I went to the main dining room to talk to the Maître d. I was told to go to the other main dining room. Then I was told I was on the wrong deck I needed to go up one. Next I was told to come back at 1:30.

I came back at 1:00 and waited as first in line. Once the Maître d arrived he old me the dining room or early seating was full and I would be placed at the top of the new wait list. He told me I would be notified the next day if there are any changes.

The next day we received a note in our cabin that we had be changed. The three of us sat at a table for nine with three other passengers. Three seats remained empty the entire cruise.

We also went to guest services to get new sail & sign cards that had out new table assignment on them.

  2. You got to enjoy a lot of cruises!

    Ditto!

Actually it is priority not guaranteed dining times.

As for FTTF people can pay as much as they want to board the ship behind me. However they are pay more than the people just behind them.

  3. How about Carnival delaying boarding for one or two hours so all cabins can be ready. Then everyone can be happy to go to their cabins.

    Not all ships have FTTF.

I don’t care how much someone pays to board the ship after I do. If I had a zone 1 boarding card I would not care if the person in front of me paid $60 extra.

  4. Carnival knows when everyone birthday is.

We have purchased cabin decorations a couple of times. I think now they have door decorations also.

Weather we purchase cabin decorations we always purchase a cake for delivery after diner in the main dining room. Any uneaten cake can be taken back to your cabin.

  5. I don’t think you can purchase them on board. Maybe you. Not sure.

They are solid chocolate. We think they are good and purchase them frequently when we sail a ship that does not have a cherry on top store.

We will have one waiting for us when we board the Valor.

  6. You start on any hole and do not need to do the holes in order. On busier days some time some people seem to take their time even when people are behind them.

There are no score cards. So if you want to keep score you will have to remember it.

  7. We had the cabin steward remove all of the drinks. He put them in a pillow case then put the pillow case under the sofa.

We think it is a better idea to have to cabin steward removed the items so there is not a problem with any of the drinks become not counted for and causing a charge.

  8. PVP have access to a list of all of your cruises. Your cabin mates and any special request or needs.

Cabin stewards and the wait staff are required to call each passenger in their area by name.

There have many people blacklisted by Carnival. It can happen for causing a disturbance, fighting or many other actions. View your contract to see what can get you kicked off of a carnival ship.

  9. On most ships your main cabin steward will have an assistant.

We usually sit at a large table in the main dining room. The wait staff may have only four or five tables. That could be around forty passengers at one time.

  10. The Christmas decorations on the Sensation were great. From top deck to the lobby in the atrium. Other decks had decorations every were. Outside on the lido deck there was a big New Year’s light with the year on it.

We were on the Miracle for an Easter cruise and they had a big Easter egg hunt. It was nice.
