Not so, on our 7 MSC cruises since 2019 in Med, N. Europe and Antilles Caribbean. Gala nights apply to full ship, once per week
I did say it was some time back and certainly before 2019.

Will the onboard currency on World Europa when she is sailing from Dubai be Dirhams?
should I tip my cabin Steward in Dirhams?
Likely to be Euro onboard as the ship is heading to Europe.

We did a B2B on the Meraviglia in October. The first couple of days were awful but it improved quite dramatically for the rest of the cruise. MSC needs to get its act together to build brand consistency. The experience, within reason, should be the same on all ships as should the Voyager Club entitlements. If a diamond perk is a chocolate ship then you should get one regardless of the ship you’re on. If a welcome bottle of bubbly is included on the Seashore then it should be included on the Meraviglia. These are all little things but little things add up. The cruise lines seem to be obsessed with blaming every shortage (liquor) on supply chain issues. Maybe it’s just incompetent management.
Same is true with the mini bar, too many anomalies between the ships as you say.

? I don’t understand..
Are you saying that every boarding has its own Gala/Elegant Night ? .. meaning multiple Gala/Elegant Nights during a 7-day cruise ?
That’s not the case from my experience.
The last one we did some years ago worked in that way, it was odd for sure. Maybe things have changed now, though there would still have to be more than one per Seven day week.

One drawback is that Gala nights for each boarding can be on different nights which can mean not so many will dress up.

The rooms are not Aurea rooms. They are rooms reserved for prebooking when you select the Aurea experience. The aurea experience is an "add on" to the reservation, not an inherent benefit of the cabin.
Utter nonsense, where did you make that up from? Clearly you know little about MSC or the Experiences.

Check the UK Government website which will be up to date, testing is not required for US cruises unless it includes Columbia.

One day MSC staff in all their offices might just get up to speed on what is happening and what is or isn't current, but I won't hold my breath.

Sailed on both and much prefer Seaside which we have sailed on twice. found Meraviglia too broken up in the design.

MSC passing off cabins that are the same as Fantastica as a junior suite is laughable and just because it has a long balcony.

This is what’s on my wrist band for emergency number: 00870 773301077
NM thanks for that.

Luv2cruzuk ... Could you find out the Emergency Telephone number for the ship please, I have someone on my MSC page who needs it urgently. MSC were unable to help them ... 😱

We got the sparkling wine, macaroons and the bar of chocolate this week on Fantasia.
No gift though and the extra time given in the cabin on the day of disembarkation wasn't recognised along with priority for tenders.
The Left hand still does not know what the Right hand is doing with MSC, it still appears that each ship is doing it's own thing and beyond time MSC put this right and made sure diamond Benefits are all the same regardless of where in the World you sail or on which ship.

Maybe everyone In Aurea could join the yacht club line ... 😁

I wonder what the draw is to RCL…higher wages?
It appears to be that way.

Talking to a friend a few days ago who mentioned that when Seaside arrives in the Caribbean a lot of Filipino staff are leaving to work at RCI.

Don't Aurea guests get to order room service without the extra fee? I thought I saw that on there.
Anyways I always check what's available even after booking. This AM the only balconies available for 3 ppl or more was Aurea, Bella and Fantastica was sold out. I just checked and there's some back. Just curious as if anyone know if that means ppl canceled (it's after final payment as we are 30 days out) or maybe they accepted some bids and moved ppl? I also saw the Max bid moved up some. Those who actually get their bids accepted do you check and modify your bid when you see that?
Aurea does get free delivery including breakfast but you pay for any food ordered other than breakfast.

I, for one, am tired of hearing we should be tolerant about the choice of masking or not. I choose to wear a mask and have done so on each of the 5 cruises we have sailed on in 2022. Plenty of people who were obviously sick and still walking around with no mask on. How long do you think it will be before crew members get sick and suffer loss of income, followed by more crew getting sick until the quality of service is affected during the sailings. Note to cruise lines: that's your reputations for quality on the line. The Majestic Princess is just the first to be reported. The will be a snowball effect here. How can there not be when we are in close quarters with crew who interface with new guests every week? Give it a rest, people. I would like to see those friendly faces too. But not at the risk of people getting sick and limiting the industry again. The crew members and cruise lines literally can't afford for this to happen again.
Even with masks people caught COVID! Wear one if you feel you must but you have no right to demand others do the same.

As of today 11/17 on Meraviglia out of Port Canaveral and they wanted to see our vaccine cards. I specifically asked. I had it. I told her it’s on the internet that it’s no longer necessary. They didn’t know about it. Typical MSC shoreside.
No surprise there then

We had an Aft Aurea suite on Seaside albeit on Deck 14, never noticed any soot on any part of the balcony or furniture. No issue up there with regard to the long window but you can see the sea from the bathroom.

UK website not updated for USA or other destinations either.

As of yesterday they had still not updated Grand voyages!

Nuna ... Looks like Disney have bought the Mega ship that is 80% complete, the ship will be Disneyfied by Meyer-Werft who have built previous Disney ships.

I was talking to a friend who is a US travel agent recently who will sail on Explora doing Northern Europe, after I learned of the price I thought I would see what the UK equivalent cost was for the same entry level cabin.
The cruise is 16 night's All Inclusive and comes in at £16,400 for two people... 😱 Or + $19,000.
Think we will give it a miss

Had one on Deck 14 on the Seaside Inaugural out of Miami, great views and very little noise from anywhere.
