We were just there this past Saturday as well. Weather was perfect with lots of sun. Ocean was a good temp. The pool water was definitely cold. It wasn't so bad once you got in and stayed, but could be very cold for little ones.
The pool was definitely not heated.
Just a heads up as well the beach between the jet skis and the floating bar is closed. We didn't know that until we got there. We thought it was just South Beach that was closed.
How close is the floating bar to chill island..an easy walk? Also as Ive not been there since changes, can you just walk or better to take a tram? Thanks!

if you want to be in all the action:
pre- get a good spot on the esplanade for midnight and the “ball” drop. also get a drink ahead of time because the lines were crazy in the nearby bars (they set up the middle-like where they’d have sales and stuff during the day-as an additional bar but it was still hectic!)
post- if they do it again, the comedian in the theater was great! but after the show is over theres not much else to do...
Thank you!!! So he comedy is after new years?

Whats your fav spots to go to for the day and how do you get there? Thats a shame about the pool as we go in 2 weeks and that looked very nice

The best entertainment on anthem is the music hall. No reservations needed.
This is my personal opinion.
And I am soooo excited they are putting one on oasis!!! And I have a cruise booked.
What do they play in the Music Hall?

"Best" means different things to different people. If you describe what is "best" for you, some may have suggestions.
Is there a list of whats is usually where, we are pretty laid back and happy with casual foods

You are free to roam around any ship on NYE. Just be aware that some areas with tables and chairs may be roped off. I consider them pop-up specialty packages/areas. Flyers will be left in your room a few days before NYE with all the planned NYE events and will explain what pricing includes and how to reserve space, if desired. You will be told all the free party areas as well and what kind of 'vibe' to expect in each area. Family friendly activities are also included.
There is no need to spend extra on NYE on a ship if you don't want to - there is always lots to do - we like to check out multiple areas during the evening and then decide where to stay for the ball drop.
Awesome and thanks 1st NYE cruise after 30 normal ones so looking forward to it, Im assuming NYE is a dress up night as well

What is the cost of The Key? And how do u sign up?
Also curious of the NYE events
-
Are there options to just stand and roam around on NYE or do u have to get a table?

A question about dining room dress code, can you and did you see men in shorts?
Thanks!!!

The image I attached shows two things, one the inside corners I was pointing out. Stateroom 5227 forms an inside corner with stateroom 5225 and this occurs for every floor above. Second the image shows where the staterooms fall in relation to the lifeboats. I have found the plans are accurate. When I am going to cruise in an obstructed view balcony the first staterooms I look for are the staterooms between the lifeboats, like 5230 and 5232. From the obstructed view cabins you can see out not down but that is the same for the balconies that are on the floors above the "obstructed" view cabins. The only difference is that you can look down at the lifeboats. I feel all the balcony staterooms are nice and would stay in any of them, but my last choice would be the inside corner balconies.
On the room that are between the boats, are you able to see straight out to the water , are the boats under the 5th deck? Just trying to figure out the layout for these///thanks!

15 yo boy who is possibly at adult stature and his parent states..."let the kids be comfy". You just have no regard for Carnival's policy because it's YOUR vacation and you'll do and wear what YOU want, because you are just certified members of the me generation that puts your own wishes ahead of everyone else's.
Not sure what people wear affects others and why they wish we wear certain things I been on 30 plus cruises and have zero memory of what anyone wore at dinner
Focus on yourself and your family and you wont notice either

My son has worn BB shorts plenty of times on non formal nights, no one is stopping them, he is now 15 and word a t shirt
Enjoy your cruise, lets the kids be comfy

No worth going back to miss Carnivals best port
