  1. Just booked Carnival Triumph's Room 6461. We set sail at the end of August!

If anyone has questions or want specific pictures, please let me know. I plan on posting pictures of the entire room, bathroom, the balcony (from all angles) and the covering of the balcony.

I'll also report issues of sound from the club below.

Anything else you guys can think of?

If you are booked for the August 29th sailing this is kind of funny I had that room booked and upgraded to a suite. I would love to see the pics of this room. As well as the club below. I booked it because it appears that the room is over the storage area of the club hopefully it won't be bad!

Happy sailing. If you are on the August 29th sailing very shortly we will be doing our single digit dance!!!!

    Cheers!!!

    :)

  2. NOLA is such a fun city and there are plenty of things to keep you busy while waiting for an afternoon or early evening flight. If you have any other choices, I would take one of those. They even have a baggage company that will take your bags to the airport so you can explore the city and have a great meal for a few hours. I hope there is another option for you. We had a customs hold up so no one got off the ship til 10am last DEC. on an NCL cruise.

Is the baggage service in the terminal? Our flight doesn't leave until 5:00pm and that would be awesome!

  3. I am booked on the August 29th sailing out of New Orleans. I decided against the 11:17 am flight because you never know this time of year with weather and its a 40 minute drive to the airport. We are flying home late afternoon which isn't ideal but it was the only other Southwest Airlines option to Grand Rapids, MI. Better to be safe than sorry. If the airport wasn't a 40 minute drive I probably would risk it but I would rather know that I have 5 hours to kill before flying out than be stressed about getting off the boat and thru security at the airport. Cheers from a fellow Michigander!! :D

  4. I've been there several times. It's a couple miles long I believe, and you can't walk it. There are lots of free buses that come right to the ship and drop you in the center of town. I think if you book an excursion, they pick you up at the ship as well.

Thank you. Not sure if we are getting off the ship or not. We don't due the ruins and it doesn't look like its a nice port (easy access).

  5. Worked on the Splendor last month for us -it's how my nephew stayed connected to his girlfriend the entire cruise. Nothing to walk through really - connect to the ship's wifi when you go out to sea. Buy the social media package, open facebook, then depending on your phone, slide left to open chat, click on the person and as long as they are online, you can facebook chat. You can also send messages through the Facebook messenger feature.

So you don't incur any charges on your phone providing you buy the media package from the ship? Does the media package work for multiple phones or 1 package per device?

  6. I have and will be traveling with my former step daughter and I had to provide Carnival with a notarized letter from her father (my ex) allowing her out of the country with me. I have had friends that took some of their kids friends with them and they were held at the port until they received a letter from the parents. I say get it. Not worth the risk.

  7. We did the Royal swim, so much fun!!!

Indeed call them and ask for discounts, we received a great discount plus spent some time with manatees, the park is beautiful, have fun and report back when you come back! We are booked in St Kitts this Jan with them again, looking forward to it, one of the coolest things you will ever do!

Did you book thru the ship or direct?

  8. Looking for advice. My daughter and I want to do a dolphin excursion in Cozumel but there are 3 different ones that look basically to be the same. Can anyone give me a little input on these.

#1 Dolphin Royal Swim, Buffet Lunch & Beach $189.99

#2 Exclusive Dolphin Swim & Ride VIP Experience $149.99

#3 Dolphin Swim & Ride with Unlimited Food & Drink $129.99

I have read reviews on each of them and what I want is a guarantee that we will get to be pushed in the water by the dolphin. Some of the reviews I have read had stated that some people in there group did and some did not get a chance to do that. I don't mind paying the money but I will be really mad if she doesn't get to be pushed by the dolphin.

Any guidance or advice would be great. Or if you have pictures that would be awesome if you could share them.

    Thanks and Happy Holidays!
