  1. We have 100 shares (jointly) and booked 2 cabins in the future on board for my daughter and BF and us. The Future Cruise Consultant suggested that we book my husband with BF and myself with daughter, to get shareholder credit in both cabins. Per their suggestion, we did this and we both got the shareholder credit. We also got the extra $25 for per cabin since it was our 24th cruise. Once on board, we went to the front desk and swapped keys. I did not expect this, but we were told they do this frequently.

  2. We have been CCL shareholders for 4 years and have almost paid for the price of the stock in OBCs. On our last cruise, we were taking my daughter and BF, and Princess actually recommended that we book my husband and I in 2 different cabins and put daughter and BF in respective cabins with us. We each got CCL shareholder credit and since we are elite got the extra $25 per cabin and the bar set up. Once on the ship, we just went to the desk and changed the key cards. We did not ask to do this, but Princess told us we could. It felt like cheating, but I suppose it wasn't. Doing this again on our cruise in December.

  3. Thanks for your responses. I called Princess today. I cannot add my sister to my cabin for 7 days because its a 14 day cruise, however there is another solution. Since I am the primary name in the reservation, I can add my sister to my reservation and remove my husband. Then, her reservation must have her husband as the primary (done before 75 days prior to cruise), and then he just adds my husband on the 7 day. Once on board we switch room keys at the desk. They also moved the CCL Shareholder credit to my name so I get the $250 OBC for the 14 days. This switch cannot be done if the primary name on the reservation is not the person traveling. I am not sure what happens with our Princess insurance. I will ask them later.

  4. I have 2 questions on upcoming cruise on dec 6. I made final payment. My husband and I are booked on a B2B cruise, 1 week each but booked as a 14 day cruise. My sister and husband are joining us on the second leg (both embark in Ft Lauderdale.) we both gphave princess platinum insurance.

My husband has a business meeting and cannot go on the first leg. Can I add my sister to my cabin on the first leg of the cruise, even though we booked it as a 14 day cruise?

Second question...if my sister does not travel with me, can we just cancel the first leg and get money back from insurance company for first half of the cruise and join the ship on dec 13 in Ft Lauderdale? Would we up have to cancel the 14 days and rebook the 7 or ??? Way less expensive to pay for half a 14 day cruise than a new 7 day booking.

I know the refund would be a credit to another cruise which is fine.

  5. We just had this room a couple weeks ago doing a partial transit. The doors were always locked except on the canal transit day and then it was fairly crowded, although you could get a spot. The room was very nice and more spacious than the ones with the balcony. We did feel more movement than on other areas of the ship and at times would hear loud bangs as the waves hit the bow. This did not bother us at all and would stay in one of these cabins again.

  6. A surge protector so I can charge all my stuff (camera, phone, Kindle, iPad, etc.) as needed. Magnets to hang all the notices and paper we get. The walls are metal. Ziploc bag to put the remote into. Those remotes cannot be sanitized and are nasty. A dry bag that goes ashore every time with us incase of rain. Great to put your camera into it during a rain storm. Alcohol goes into Rum Runners and in checked bags. Never had a problem with it.
