Just landed in Cleveland.
Luggage obtainedShuttle to hotel to get car.
In the seat in front of us a mom in a loud voice kept yelling at her daughter about growing up and being mature. She continued on telling her how disappointed she was after what happened. ( I tried to find out the event but she got quiet). Then she goes you need to be a role model for your younger sister.
Here’s mom being a role model.
Good thing they were not sitting behind you!

They are nominally identical
They do look virtually identical to the older ones. Were lucky that crown and anchor has not cancelled this reward!

After nearly a year of waiting, my first crystal block arrived today. It is much smaller than the ones I have seen in person and oddly they are now "made in China?" I thought they used to be made in USA. Is it possible to get a normal sized one, or do I have to buy one from Ebay?
We have received 14 crystal blocks since 2009 ...3 of which I have given to special crew members. I just actually looked at the 11 now and the only change I see is the Oasis block is 3mm wider and 2 mm less in height all the rest the only difference is the writing script. We have only received 2 blocks from the new supplier so far.....

I would guess they are referring to Suite Sun Deck area.

They did not specifically mention that and I am n ot sure how that worked before Covid but I thought the free activities always had to be booked on board.
Sorry Ken for not explaining this well!
In the past you could book I Fly and NorthStar from your booking profile usually 30 days before sailing but this started to change after 2018...most of the time you had to wait until you boarded the ship

Prior to COVID North Star and I Fly which were 1 time anytime complimentary had to be reserved.( On board) All the other sporting activities did not require an booking reservation.

I don't see how it could fit given that it is a couple of decks higher than the QM2 which barely fits underneath it. Yet I don't see how it can get out of Bayonne without going under the bridge?
Even the Oasis Of The Seas can pass under the Verrazzano bridge ....with a little bit of technology

They have special provisions for cruise ships. You fill in the info before boarding the ship and that covers all the ports it visits in Canada.
Rudeney thank you for the correct information,
CBSA has an special arrangement with visiting cruise ships from US ports. We still have to test 48hrs before boarding ( Royal Caribbean requirement also) the ship and 72hrs before arriving at an Canadian port of entry complete the ArriveCAN app or web site.
If you were driving across the border you would just need to be vaccinated and say you were symptom free on the app or web site which is linked to your passport.
CBSA will do random testing.

So even if RCI does away with the testing, we would still need to test for Canada, correct?
If you are fully vaccinated and have no symptoms and complete your ArriveCAN submission within 72 of arriving you are NOT required to have a neg. covid test.
The ArriveCAN is no big deal!! Takes seconds to do and uses you passport to identify you ( NEXUS to if you use that).
You are much better to get important information from here https://www.canada.ca/en/border-services-agency/services/arrivecan.html

If CL/SL access is important, I'd book a suite.
I never said it was important for me.....just conveying Royal Caribbean most current communications.

Frankly, I think they only reason they brought those benefits back was because they went away during covid times. I expect they will be largely nominal benefits for a time, and then the covid policies will come back on a permanent basis (i.e., an evening Pinnacle Lounge).
There's just no other way at all to handle it. The whole policy, going all the way back to when the CL first appeared, was designed around the assumption that there would only be a handful of passengers outside of suites who would qualify for CL/SL access. That assumption has long since become invalid.
Besides, the drink vouchers are a pretty nice benefit. Most folks D+ and above come out ahead on that deal!

Apparently Royal Caribbean is not aware of this.....maybe you should bring this to their attention.

I'm a newly minted Diamond Plus on the Anthem now. I was excited when I saw this post, but when I went to the Concierge Lounge I was told Diamond Plus was not currently allowed in.
YMMV
Tom
Maybe you should show guest services this memo...they can be slow getting information.
also it says departing March 15th and onward may have something to do with it.

I wonder what lewd and lascivious behavior occurred this time? Sad
Even sadder last week on Anthem a passenger had a heart attack on the IFLy and subsequently died.
An 68 year old male had an sudden cardiac arrest while in the IFly tube and did not regain consciousness on the December 12 2021 Anthem cruise. Very sad for everyone affected.😪

FYI, North Star is now free from the remainder of the cruise. Never saw it moving on the early sea days when it was $20 per person.
Maybe you guys could team up and use your power of persuasion and get them to open up the skating!! since you got wacked with 8 sea days.

I assume so. It makes sense (easier to fumigate etc). It would be interesting to see what the other ships are like! Hopefully I never get to see one live again 🤣
Really sorry for this to happen to your family......You have certainly given me a lot to think about for our B2B next week....Flying and being Canadian really complicates everything.
If we only had to get in our car and drive home would make everything so much simpler.

Well we knew it could happen eventually. Paul has tested positive for Covid onboard.
We have others joining us next week for the 8 night cruise. We wanted to take a rapid antigen test before they flew down just in case as both cruise cabins are booked in our names. We took the test this morning and he was positive. Called guest services to report it and they sent someone up to give him a PCR test. We got a call within an hour or so confirming he was positive. We are still working on logistics but I will report back with all the dirty details.
We are still trying to salvage the trip for next week for the rest of us.
That's terrible news to hear. Hope you are able to salvage the best from this.🤞
We are on a B2B coming up shortly and this is my worst senario.
