Another great review - one of the best I've ever read!
I, too, am one of the lucky ones to have been able to read your previous review. I'm glad you came back and entertained us with another!

and the closets
plenty of storage
the safe
Outside the door, looking up the hall to the right. Turn left at the green carpet and you are at the mid-ship elevators and stairs.

This year on the Explorer, March 5-15. On day two I woke at 4 am and the ship was already rocking... and it lasted almost 24 hours. The captain told us that it was 110 knots and waves 25-28 feet. There was even 3 broken windows in the dining room.
It was only my second cruise, but I haven't decided yet if it was my last. :(
I was on that cruise, too. It sure was a wild ride!
The captain was still in the dining room with his guests when the windows blew out. We were at the table next to him, but had left about 20 minutes before.
Up on deck 11 or 12, a couple of the slanted panes of glass on the railing must have been blown out or damaged. I'll post those pictures when I get to my home computer.

We were the second ship to arrive. Waiting for us was an old RCI stalwart, Pullmantur's Empress, formerly Empress of the Seas, formerly Nordic Empress. We were later joined by the Costa Fortuna and in the afternoon one of the Hurtigruten ships paid a call on Geiranger.
An old friend for some.
Beautiful pictures. Great to see the Empress at sea. We sailed her a few years back out of Philadelphia and loved it. Thanks for posting.

I still haven't decided about going ashore.
They don't have any Golf Cart like shuttles which would be ideal.
They do provide complementary Wheel Chair Service (with someone to push me around) but I would feel stupid getting pushed around in a wheelchair.
I should have brought my T-Rex, I could have gone ashore in style!
Trainman, thank you for sharing your story.
The mental picture of you chugging down the hall in your T-Rex and barrelling into an elevator made me chuckle.

In my local newspaper, the Philadelphia Inquirer:

If it happens, I will miss seeing it while driving up and down I-95.

This one is by science fiction author Harry Harrison: "The QE2 is Missing"
"The liner The Queen Elizabeth II is in mid-cruise when a sudden radio silence cuts her off from the outside world. When a search is finally mounted for her, she is discovered adrift, miles from the shipping lanes. The liner is empty, her 1,815 passengers and crew have disappeared.
The QEII is Missing is a straight mystery story and political thriller in which the fate of the ship and her passengers is slowly revealed."
